He's such a douchebag, but his shows are usually funny. I was decently impressed by the Orville.

I have to ask. Why did this series take off? There are so many better LitRPGs out there.
ExecutiveProducerWolfDyck
I agree there are better, but this one has multiple adorable animal sidekicks and foul language, which people eat up. Also, it leans less into the "litrpg" aspects than the better ones you're thinking of, making it more generally accessible as sci-fi. The extremely direct metaphor for latestage capitalism is also a big selling point. It's got a lot of stuff going for it outside of technically being litrpg.

The dude that voices the audiobooks is really good, which drove up book sales and put it on the top of the charts. Hence why he was immediately selected to voice the main character.

Can you recommend some better ones? :)

"Peacock's live-action TV adaptation of Dungeon Crawler Carl has officially found its very first actor for a major role. Jeff Hays, the narrator behind the audiobook of the same name, will be joining the series as the voice of Princess Donut. The news was revealed during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, giving fans of the bestselling comic book franchise a very welcome update."

Cannot even fathom Donut being voiced by anyone else.
