Watch every Star Wars Show and Movie in ORDER!

maythe4thbewithyou

Don’t forget the holiday special!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wow, they're really milking that, aren't they?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well you can skip the last 3 one so you dont feel the need to ram your head into the fucking tv

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I disagree with this tier list.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Apparently Disney doesn’t like Xizor or Dash Rendar

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

“somehow, Palpatine returned.”

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do not recommend in-order. There's the "machete cut" order...

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

This is the (correct) way.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is the current status of The Bad Batch? Will it be continued at some point? ?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, another season is coming, not sure when though.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Over kill

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No Holiday Special or Ewok movies? Pathetic ?

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Couple of hours right?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I prefer the revised Machete cut - start with Rogue and do Hope and Empire so you get the big reveal. Then go back for the backstory

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I did Machete order before Episode 7 came out and believe it is the way. Hadn't thought were everything else now fits in. 1/

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2/ Rogue is probably the best to start with. Kind of wonder where Solo comes in. Between 6 & 7?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

3/ Kind of think Solo between 3 & 6 would slow down Vader's arc. Something to think about.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Solo probably fits best as the first movie honestly, the biggest problem with it is that it hints at a new Maul storyline that never happens

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It does happen, it just happens off screen. ;)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Order 66 hits WAYYYY harder in The Clone Wars. My GF was audibly sobbing.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Nothing could make me watch The Phantom Menace again...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

SW: Resistance is terrible. Like all filler. I watched it in hopes it would get good, but it's just bad. Every character had Disney movement

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

where their head or body moves with literally every syllable that comes out of their mouth.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ewok Adventure (aka Caravan of Courage) and Battle for Endor.

4 years ago | Likes 98 Dislikes 1

Oh God. I thought that was a fever dream I had as a kid. Just remember a girl flying into a tree and ewoks in a cave.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

You’re very brave

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

That shit was 5 year old me's jam, I wore out several Betamax tapes because I loved those two movies.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I watched them over the pandemic. They’re really not that bad.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Star cruiser crash!

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Star cruiser woosh!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ewoks and Wilford Brimley that's gold Jerry, gold !

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think you mean Burl Ives

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wilford Brimley is definitely in 1 of those

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I remember there was a time that there was only 3 star wars movies....

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don’t bother with resistance - it’s a true little kids’ show.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

All of Star Wars has always been for kids.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Are we talking star wars rebels level of kids or like Disney junior

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Disney Jr. - Rebels is Shakespeare by comparison.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Rebels is excellent in the later seasons. Really hits the lore of the Force.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Noted, its the one show I haven't seen and wasn't sure if it was worth watching

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It ties up some arcs well and gets into the more mystic side of the force. Some Easter eggs from legends too. Kid friendly but entertaining.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No thanks.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No thank you

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003-2005) animated???

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Because thats non cannon and has been even before disney took over.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

It is canon in that canonically it was a cartoon made by a person in universe to honor the Jedi - The very kid who watched Mace, actually.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bullshit. That is the best prequel related thing at all!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wait, what's the 4th entry on the list then? I need a nerd to help this dweeb.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There was a traditionally animated Clone Wars short series by the guy who did Samurai Jack. It influenced the look of the CG Clone Wars.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(I'm the dweeb)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There was a series that came out before Ep 3 came out (it explains why the chancellor was captured, etc) by Genndy Tartakovsky 1/x

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So you would know more about why Ep 3 opens the way it does, and it also introduced Grievous. I quite liked it. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There were two Clone Wars shows: the 1st was animated (and fantastic), 2nd is the longer CG one.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*Technically* only the CG one is canon now, but they don't really overlap or contradict each other any, so you can certainly watch both. :)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do note that clone wars is also told out of order

4 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 2

And that the final few episodes overlap with Revenge of the Sith, as does the first eps of The Bad Batch

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Theres actually a video I saw that shows where certain transitions between cw and rots best fit if you'd like to watch that way>>

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh fuck yeah this is awesome! Thanks!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's a list for that, too, fortunately! https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really wish disney plus would make a feature to watch it that way

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Must see's after watching the Original Trilogy: Bad Batch, Rogue One, and the Mandalorian Series.

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 9

What's Bad Batch?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Clone wars spinoff based just after the fall of the Republic

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Rebels is pretty good too.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Shockingly so, even for an old head.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's bad batch not... Bad?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bad batch will be hella confusing without seeing prequels or even clone wars

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

This

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Without the prequels, maybe. I didn't see the Clone Wars, and I followed along with Bad Batch just fine.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You should fix the clone wars thing asap. Such a good show. Though I recommend looking up a chronological list for the episodes

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No Xmas special!?

4 years ago | Likes 381 Dislikes 4

yeah, OP skipped the best one for some reason /S

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If such a hypothetical thing actually exited, it'd slot in between Episode IV and V.

4 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 0

Correct! It's set 1 year after IV and 2 years before V

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I want to know where Luke Skywalker's appearance on The Muppet Show fits in.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'll never feel this stoned.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just replace the sequels with that and the Ewok Movies

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*Life Day

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which one? There's https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12885438/ too now, but I guess that's not considered canon.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't think they ever made one of those.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was better than Solo, honestly. At least I had fun watching it. And no, I'm not one of those knee-jerk haters. But Solo...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Correct its non existant as are the ewok movies

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think that’s a little too much Christmas spirit

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or Ewok movies.

4 years ago | Likes 104 Dislikes 0

that monstrosity was a bad dream

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

Guys and Dolls featuring Luke Skywalker

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Corvette Summer? Corvette is a Corellian ship isn't it?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Were those the made for tv movies? The one where the dude was trapped under weird ice or something?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't remember anything about them other than they exist. I know I saw Caravan of Courage as a kid and that is about it.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope, it's not in Disney's new canon

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Who cares?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

But it is on Disney +.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was made "kinda canon" when the dude mentioned celebrating "life day" in the first episode of the mandalorian.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The existence of Life Day does not make the Holiday Special canon any more than Thrawn being in Rebels makes the Thrawn trilogy canon.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I believe I said "kinda canon". I would call the Thrawn trilogy "kinda canon" too. Not canon, but some elements of canonicity.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck it. It's all cannon to me. Idgaf. I'll take everything but but 7,8 and 9. Including expanded universe stuff.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What are you talking about?

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

There's a Star Wars christmas special that absolutely tanked lol

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

The running joke is that we've all erased it from our collective memories.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I think you might have had a bad dream

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Which we don't talk about

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

I've actually never seen it, and I think I'm pretty okay with that decision lol

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which we absolutely talk about, because enduring the whole thing is a Star Wars Nerd badge of honour.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

And some of it's actually... Not awful!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is the need in every star wars related post that people have the need to comment that they don’t like the last 3.

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 5

The fact they will never, ever get the time back in life they spent watching a dumpster fire, those movies are depression unleashed

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 16

To the fact the movies are now bordering on non Canon with the off screen tweeks done to the movies in novels

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

v

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

The sequels are just the new prequels. Once the pre-sequels come out people will cut them some slack

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Would be interesting to see that Luke character before he met Rey. Maybe have him team up with Han Solo. Just an idea.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When the new goblequels come out, thats when the "they're actually pretty good" crowd comes outta the woodwork

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll wait for the non-Euclidean tesseract-equels.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish I knew. Every trilogy tells us that hatred is bad but many fans seem to think that hating on a part of SW makes them "true fans". >

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Talking about SW with SW fans often feels like talking about politics or religion in a YouTube comment section. The hate ruins the fandom.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Current watch time for that list: 6 days, 11 hr, 1 min. Yes I have a spreadsheet. Shut up, stop laughing.

4 years ago | Likes 1146 Dislikes 7

I don't count the last trilogy as canon.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ima not laughing. I'm actually impressed.

4 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

The fun part was figuring out where to place the show episodes that wrap around the movies.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well I do have 120hrs of vacation from work left...

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Funny thing is, even if you never slept or stopped watching, that still wouldn’t be enough.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

24 hour days, or like 8 hour work days. Because sleep is a thing.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, this is straight-through. Gotta divide that all up into doable chunks.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Divide by .33 to dedicate eight hours a day for the fast estimate. The overage on hours and minutes will double as bio breaks.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds pretty doable, I did this with all the marvel-shows + movies two years ago

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You are talking to TLoTR:EDC,SE Fans. Trust us, your quest is holy.

I'm not laughing, it's useful! I don't have a life so nice to know how much time it takes from my regular schedule of staring into the void

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey, first thing I wanted to do is to send msg to my buddy "we need like a week or two to watch all of this", thanks to you I know exactly!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have nothing but respect for your dedication. I also now have the answer to how long it will take to watch all of Star Wars

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wondered this as soon as I saw the title.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why didnt you include seconds, im disappointed

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was at the mercy of the runtimes as listed on Disney+.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love you!r spreadsheet ;-)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Impressive, most Impressive.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was going to ask how long it would take…Thank you

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thankfully you did it so I didn’t have to!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And said spreadsheet is where)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can get it done more quickly by not watching the last three movies.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Share it or it is not real

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

how long without Resistance?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*with enough irony to sink a Star Destroyer* NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD <3

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Little over a week for all of Star Trek, I did something similar, worry not fella, fly the nerd flag high

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I sat and binged all of the star trek movies one summer at my Grampa's place back in the late 90's.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is making me feel bad for how long it's taken to get through S1 of TOS.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which versions of each movie?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

All my times were pulled from the versions on Disney+, so absolutely some variability on those.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Clone Wars probably takes a big chunk of that I bet!

4 years ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 0

About 2 days 9 hours (including the clone wars movie)

4 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Which would be in the middle of s1? I know it's just 3 or 4 episodes they released in theaters.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Yeah, chronologically, there's like 3 episodes, then the movie.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Wish they had released them chronologically

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is Clone Wars worth watching as an adult? Actually is Clone Wars worth watching as an adult who is that old "Episode IV" is just Star Wars?

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Yes but watch in chronological order (avail online) not air order

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

not sure why this is being downvoted, it's the best way to watch. keeps multi-ep arcs in order instead of splitting them up across seasons

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I think there is a list that shows the order of episodes so it makes for a better story

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Yes.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I enjoy them regularly toss them on when I don't know what to watch and I'm sadly now in my 30s

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The 1st season starts a bit slow. It picks up. By the end, you'll be wishing all starwars was like the CW show

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Get through the movie and the first few episodes, it quickly moves beyond just a kids show to something adults can enjoy

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Absolutely.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

it gets fun, I love the 3 or so episode story arc model they use. Each episode isn't a self contained adventure, but is part of a bigger 1hr

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

+ adventure

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes, absolutely. It's my go-to SW now. And I'm old enough to have seen the OG trilogy in theaters when they first released.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I grew up on the original trilogy, and really enjoyed Clone Wars. It does a really good job explaining how we get from Ep2 to Ep3.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Honestly I think its over-rated. Worth checking out probably if you're a star wars fan.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Is there a list somewhere of the best episodes to watch... Maybe I could just watch the essentials

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

You've got some shit on the bottom of your list there.

4 years ago | Likes 370 Dislikes 65

More than half of that list above is shit.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 8

Bracing for downvotes, original trilogy is great, everything else is incredibly average imo. However I didn't grow up with it and I accept

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that it can be one of those "Seinfeld is unfunny" sufferers.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Let’s just applaud the creative side of Disney writing Star Wars… oh wait, they recycled old shit and threw on some neat CGI?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

8 was awful, but at least it wasn't awful awful like 9 holy shit.

4 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 13

Agree to disagree: at least 8, flawed though it might be, tried to do something different. 9 was pretty bad though.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 9

...though it gave us this, so.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Why the downvotes, this is literally the best thing about ep9

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 was always going to be a train wreck. 8 was irredeemable.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've gotta say, 8 was even worse imo. By the time 9 came around, the damage was done and we were numb to it. 8 was a shitsplosion

4 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 7

8 was the only one that tried to do anything original. I didn't like any of them but it's the one I hated the least.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 9

Original is fine. Stupid is not.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I'm just saying I respect a swing and a miss more than dropping a (still bad) copy paste.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

The execution of lukes passing on and becoming one with the force was fantastic, but, that scene did not deserve to be in that movie.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That was awful. They hadn't earned that scene yet. He needed to be established in the new movies more.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've heard this said for almost every iteration of Star Wars. "It's like poetry, it rhymes."

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Episode 1 is absolutely horseshit that then got eaten by a syphilitic donkey and shat back out again.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

ok now im curious: what exactly did they retcon?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Ooh another edge lord who feels cool by hating new things.

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 39

What "new" things? The sequels undid all the major plot and development points of the original trilogy in an attempt to do them again. 1/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They even gutted the whole "Anakin is the chosen one" arc to put in their own character in that spot. There was nothing new or creative.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't new things. I hate shitty things. They're fucking shitty. That about clears that up.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 8

They are the best Star Wars has ever looked or sounded. But they ruined my childhood hero Luke and made bad storylines. They're "meh" movies

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

Clearly you haven't watched the last jedi

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 7

I loved 7 and 8 in the cinema (and after ofc) and for all its pandering 9 is still a wild ride.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 7

I agree!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

my only real criticism is the distinct lack of podracing in every movie and tv show that isnt TPM

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Right!? I would have swapped alien-horse racing with podracing in ep 8

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Maybe they did the horserace as a sort of take on podracing and realised the violence of podracing is a bit much with horses :P

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, 8 and 9 are legit trash. 7 is tolerable.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Lol that was the scene that stopped me from watching the rest of the new trilogy, still haven't watched beyond that scene

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 9
