MRW the driver I was following for 150 miles on the freeway takes their exit

funny

I do not even have a drivers license

I don't understand how that even happens... I mean other cars usually drift out of sight in mt rearview

I followed a guy going 90, weaving in and out of traffic. He was my spirit guide. Sad to see him leave.

Still hasn't figured out how to shoot web, huh..

Once played on the noise strips on the side of the highway with another driver going through Nevada. Good times

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You need to find something to do in Nevada

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was the best we had at the moment

+1 for Tobey Maguire

Once in traffic I struck up meaningful friendship with the crackhead car in front of me, lamenting bad drivers. I miss my crackhead friends

Once I even had lunch with a guy in van with whom I happened share route across two countries. Travelling is great way to meet people.

MRW I finally take my exit

I can't follow anyone for more than a couple of miles before getting agitated and wanting to pass. That can be an issue at about 85mph.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Motorcycled near a car on 80 through NE for hours. Gas station: complete babe driving, most juggalo juggalo I've ever seen as passenger. wat

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one to get attached to other drivers

10 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

I knew I wasn't the only one! I usually do a "nooooo...be safe buddy"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't Gooooooooooo!!

2 other vehicles and I traveled down Rte 13 Delmarva for miles and all 3 of us were lassoed and ticketed for speeding by the same cop.

Like we're on an adventure together. Two travelers skimming the baron wasteland. Seeking out refuge for ourselves.

Trying to free our minds of the devastation that our world has become. Can I find my family? Or are they even out there?

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Can this stranger be the only family I have anymore? Maybe refuge isn't out there. Maybe refuge is the world I'm in. The real hell is there.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I dont like this world anymore. I wasn't made for it. Others were. But not me. I like this stranger. He was made for this god forsaken world

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

But can I trust him? I don't know what's real anymore.... Maybe my gun is my only true friend....

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Bravo sir

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If only I still had bullets for it, but I ran out long ago. Too many that couldn't be trusted... like shadows cast by what once was.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I understand this from my cross country road trip

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

YES! This!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's even better when you're both listening to the same station and are singing along together.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Highway bros is absolutely a real thing. Never underestimate the bond of a shared cruise control setting.

10 years ago | Likes 328 Dislikes 0

I hate it and will speed up or slow down to avoid this.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

YES! Everyone who's ever rode with me on a long drive who I've explained this to thinks I'm nuts haha

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

My friend and I took a 3 day trip from Chicago to Napa. It was so cool seeing trucks on multiple days.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or when you notice they have a radar and slow down when they slow down and speed when they speed. Saved our butts on the way to Florida

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I was driving back to Oregon from Cali and saw another car with Oregon plates. Was with them for 300 miles

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can't use cruise control on the highway here because no one fucking just picks a speed.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always referred to them as highway homies

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's an emotional experience.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup. Especially if the other driver is cute and you flirt a bit, but there's no good way to meet that isn't creepily following them home.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck. I'd exit just to make sure you weren't following me. What? You WERE following me. WTF, Becka?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And then we tenderly overtake each other through all those miles and brake softly to rinse and repeat.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Apply directly to the forehead."

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My favorite is when it's an 18 wheeler and they actually honk you a farewell salute

10 years ago | Likes 611 Dislikes 1

I have never driven slow enough to be behind an 18 wheeler for longer then a couple of minutes. Didn't realize anyone did.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I do the speed limit. If its 55 i do 55. If its 75 I do 75.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good bye forever

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

This is the saddest shit I've read all day.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed! It feels like you get a sort of closure after all of the miles you traveled together.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You drive as slow as an 18 wheeler?

10 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

My rig is capable of doing 85mph with 80,000 lbs easy. I do whatever the limit permits, west of the Mississippi its 70 or 75... 80 in spots

This definetly wasn't in Pennsylvania, because most truck drivers I've encountered were assholes.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Can confirm. I take the NJ and switch over to the PA turnpike every day. So much worse after the switch.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How slow do you drive D:

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Trucks usually go 65 in Oregon, so probably pretty slow

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can go 85mph easy... I do the limit.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DOES THIS HAPPEN? IS IT IN AMERICA? IS AMERICA REAL?!

10 years ago | Likes 271 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

10 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yup happened to me on the drive back to D.C from Myrtle Beach

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How amazing! In Australia everyone's just really angry all the time! I'm going to move to America. You're all great!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Very real

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yes happens, we are a driving country and on long drives you grow attached to your buddy, usually taking turns being in front in case of cop

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was driving home from the cities in a blizzard and had trouble getting through the snow until a dodge with an attached plow pulled in 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

In front of my car and put his plow down. Drove in front of me for almost 200 miles till I got to my exit. Love that guy to this day.

But you don't really wanna be going to Newry

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's a kip.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a really small country.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's because the Brits stole a quarter of it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still bigger than Lithuania, Latvia, Croatia, Slovakia, Estonia, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, Moldova, Belgium and Slovenia.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's cute.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I live in Texas that will get you nowhere it's like 1200 miles border to border

same

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I can do that in any direction in my state and still be in my state.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can fly to Brussels in just over an hour for €9.99 with Ryanair or €24.99 with Aer Lingus. Pro tip, never fly with Ryanair

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No shit. Ryanair is god awful

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I haven't flown with them in years, Aer Lingus charge a little bit more but are in a completely different league.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just used them in August. They're still as garbage as they were 10 years ago. Don't bother. Stick with Aer Lingus.
