#1 if I worked at a theatre, I would care exactly as much as actual theatre staff usually care, which is not at all.

You know, it's jokes like this that made Kurt Russel fire his original stunt double, Cock Wizard. I hope you're happy.

What sucks about people smuggling in chips is you chuds leave your trash for the emps to clean up.

#1 I worked in a theater and I didn't check jack shit about anybody. And now I know terrible things about how movie theaters are run and what absolutely shitty bosses some people are.
SpicyGoober
I once got delivery right at the front of the theater and snuck an extra large stromboli still in the box with me+ extras. Zero fucks given by them. Could see the giant box through my sweatshirt plain as day
blaghart
If you're working customer service and you see somebody breaking the rules but not hurting anybody, no you didn't. If you're a customer and you see an employee breaking the rules but not hurting anybody, no you didn't. Basic rules of "fuck capitalism.|
Rhythmaster
Me and my friend used to bring a bottle of wine into the theatre. He would put one glove on top of it, in his bag. When they checked the bag, they'd see this glove just kinda floating there, and let us in. Worked every time.
barstr7
Sure, theater ushers used to throw you out if they found you with outside food. Also, the seats were creaky barely padded wood that didn't recline. And yeah, sometimes the projector messed up mid-movie. But it was still awesome because you could buy a movie ticket with pocket change back then.
TheOneSin
Even though I keep being told no one would really care, I can't sneak any food in myself because I'm paranoid I'LL be the one time they do care. It's fine though. I just eat a good meal before the movie
TheWombatStrikesAgain
They could be dragging in an entire sack of potatoes for all I care.
GravyEducation
The opening night of Watchmen was a big event, like 30 of my high school classmates all went. My friend, who worked at the discount theater in town that played movies months after they came out, brought a garbage bag of popcorn. No not a kitchen garbage bag, a 30 gallon commercial bag of popcorn. At the door he said he had diabetes. That's it. They didn't give a fuck they just said "fine whatever"

I'm guessing it's a golden eye reference, but 007 doesn't use a .22
Iplaybadguys
And iirc, that particular version is actually pretty poorly made, they outsourced the slide to an airsoft company
Feralkyn
100% a GoldenEye reference. He used a PPK in the books, the PP7 was based off it in the game (they just changed all the guns' names for legal reasons) but yeah it is probs the smaller caliber. I'm gonna give whoever took this pic a pass on that lmao.
psugab
I have the same ppk he had. If I remember, Flemming changed to a revolver because all the real cops and spies kept telling him that's what a real spy was use, and then there was a famous gun jamming incident so he relented. The 7.65mm ppk is fun to shoot though.

#3 iâm beginning to think some of these meme writers neither read the book or watch the movie because Meriadoc and Peregrine were pretty darn pivotal. @Ngugi back me up here!!
They were also the tallest hobbits ever.
Ngugi
Aye, they were, though I must admit I am trying to wrap my head around what the meme tries to joke about, hehe. I thought it was that they join unrequested and without an invite to the council - but then why not react the same to Sam? Now I think it is that M&P do not have a cool line joining, but if so it is till not clear so must admit I'm at a loss ^^
ToSisPoS
I remember some twoscore years ago seeing The Conspiracy Unmasked in the TOC and dreading that chapter, but when I got to it seeing it was just muh boyz saying they would see Frodo to the end of his journey.
It lifted my young heart.
ToSisPoS
I discovered Tolkien in '86 when I saw Theatre Sans Fil's theatrical adaptation of the Hobbit using giant marionettes with blacklight paint.
It was quite an introduction. Of course then came the books, the Bakshi, and a dormant period until '01. When all sorts of stuff happened.
The journey has been wild.

#3 I'm sorry, but Merry and Pippin literally saved Rohan and Gondor.
B1tchtastic
Look, I'm not saying Tinky Winky would be the best power ranger. They might only use their teletummy as a distraction, or to keep the rangers in contact with the base or something. This is about LOTR.
B1tchtastic
GoodChange
And the shire
Radix865
I think they also saved the (remaining) fellowship by being a distraction for the orcs to think they caught their prey.
imnotinthewitnessprotectionprogram
And letâs not forget that they saved second breakfast as well
TheJuiceLoosener
Well, yeah. Obviously Gondor. I mean, Gondor goes without saying, doesn't it? But apart from Rohan, the Shire, and Gondor...

Second breakfast?
lpooptoomuch
not on purpose.
Scobragon
Tell me you've never read the books, without saying you've never read the books.
lpooptoomuch
so many times, merry and pippin didn't mean for a lot of things that happen. they were just lucky.
Scobragon
It was bravery, not luck, when Merry saved Ăowyn, and doomed the Witch-king of Angmar.
DukeDarkwood
Meriadoc Brandybuck went right up to the most powerful of the Nazgûl and drove a shortsword into its leg.
You do not walk up to one of the wickedest monsters on Middle-earth - a creature that radiates an aura that instills fear in mortal beings - and stab it with a short-reaching weapon by "luck". Nor do you do it by accident; you can't say "I didn't know there was a Nazgûl there" when you would feel the terror before getting near close enough.
Is that enough? Or do I need to do Pippin, too?
lpooptoomuch
After Moria, Merry and Pippin hardly had to even walk. they ran into treebeard on accident who took very little convincing to call an Entmoot to fight Saruman. Pippin had no idea that looking into the Palantir stone would be a great distraction for Sauron. And don't act like Merry crossed the battlefield to face the Nazgul King, he was just along for the ride with Eowyn (I mean Dernhelm) when he woke up after being knocked off the horse and snuck up behind him.
