How to commit libel, with your host Jim Jordan

Jul 14, 2022 9:53 AM

This case is disgusting, and for the sake of those who don't want to know, I won't post the story below. You can read more at the source though:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-62158357

But what resonated with me was how a Republican - Jimmy Gymshorts Jordan - can immediately and baselessly discredit a story, and then quietly reverse course when it becomes apparent that this will be a "bad take".

Public figures NEED TO BE PROSECUTED FOR LIBEL. That is a crucial, unavoidable step towards stemming the spread of misinformation. It does not impinge in any way whatsoever on freedom of speech.

Side note: now that it's more beneficial to confirm the story rather than deny it, you can 100% bet that he will pivot to the offender's immigration status, and not even try to defend the horror of state-mandated child pregnancy.

Gym Jordan covering up sexual abuse? Well I'm shocked.... /s

Wasn't sure about this story bc of the lack of info. Then I realized I just wanted it to not be true. Why? Because it's disgustingly inhuman

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Who is the aggrieved party?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"Listen up buddy, I'm an expert on child rape!" - Gym Jordan

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Has Fox News already shifted to the "Well, look how she was dressed! She was obviously asking for it!!" narrative, yet?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Gym Jordan let his students get raped and tried to cover it up. He won’t care about a 10 year old he doesn’t know.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Cut his dick off.

that's so fucking disgusting

Indy star- the same company that took down Larry Nassar? Can they do Gym Jordan next??

I've been thinking every time a politician makes a statement as a representative it should be considered legally binding.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

What if politicians had a 90 day no delete feature on social media? Anything they say must stay posted for 90 days before it can be deleted.

Conservatives are fighting for this guy’s right to be a dad.

And to get shared custody, like he won't rape his granddaughter too. And the mom should totally have to face her rapist baby daddy everyday

Libel doesn"t exist anymore. It's a product of the other, better timeline.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look, Gym Jordan is a complete piece of shit. I still struggle to understand how you can call a scummy tweet as libel, though.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm hated Gym Jordan with a passion since I first saw and heard about him. Ain't a pit deep enough in hell for the likes of him.

I quite object to the use of "questioned" and "sceptic", here! Outright declaring it a lie was neither questioning nor skeptical.

Coach must’ve left his republican playbook in the rape locker room, bcuz come on, Fuentes? These clowns love an excuse to “build the wall!”

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's a difference between healthy skepticism and being an asshole

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

The right were so willing to die on the hill of this one story being fake, as if that would mean it can never happen for real.

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

I guess burying their heads in the sand and pretending it's fake is easier than justifying why a 10 year old should be forced to give birth.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I'd also wager they just don't have a concept of how common this actually is and thought the timing was just "too convenient to be true".

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

All the conservative forums say he is an illegal immigrant. Anyone know? Or do they see a Mexican criminal and assume?

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

He isn’t Mexican, he is from Guatemala.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Per the article above, an ICE agent is the source. Doesn't make a lie impossible, but on the balance it appears to be the case.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I believe he did it. I do. But still it doesn't sit right with me to spread his name and picture before conviction.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Apologies. If it sits any better with you, he has made an admission of guilt, per the article. And there's no "grey area" with a 10yo.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I agree. And I don't think this will be mob justice at all. I think he did it. But I don't think the courts should go public with names 1/

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

and pics until conviction. Because sometimes they are wrong. Even with admission of guilt.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm surprised that the rapist wasn't a family member. It usually is in these cases. In any case, as you said, all the right's attention /1

The Supreme Court rules that the 10 year old girl was dressed in provocative attire thereby causing the rape ......./S

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm surprised it wasn't Gym Jordan

will now focus squarely on the rapists immigration status. That way they can blame it on the democrats while simultaneously minimizing /2

4 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 1

what happened to the victim here. Don't let them get away with it! /3

4 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

I am curious as to what the connection is between the victim and rapist, but I know that's not the most important thing right now

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Probably a neighbor someone who was somewhat close BCS he abused her twice. Anyway it does not matter right now only he rots in jail

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It's usually a family member or a friend of the family. Much rarer for it to be a stranger. I'm wondering if the DNA test is going to /1

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure they are already going after the doctor that initially saw her.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Sorta - the doctor is being investigated for potentially not reporting the rape, *not* for terminating the pregnancy.

cases like this cannot be dealt with reasonably. The argument that it should be used for rape, threat of life, incest..etc. Is fine, the 2

issue comes when people use it as their first like of birth control because they can't wrap it up or use any other contraception. Then 3

all these groups say is the point of abortion and those are .5% and thats being very generous.Legit how many people have multiple forms fail

Most of them? Non-viable fetuses, failed birth control, birth control disrupted by antibiotics, unreported rapes, poor sex education and /

I didn't like US policies so I moved outside the US to europe because of its social policy, education.Abortion is legal here, but not an issue

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the end it got left up to states, and as people always threaten to move, then they can get their asses up and move to a different state.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure the list goes on, but you know what the underlying issue is. Poor social and educational policy. So lets solve that by more poor policy

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s because he is an illegal immigrant. They’re pushing the abortion angle but won’t report his illegal status.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 93

You're a lying sack of shit

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

From the very article you're commenting on "Mr Fuentes is a Guatemalan national and is in the US illegally"

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Name relevant? You seem so concerned about his ability to cross a mythical boundary set in place to control the sheeple population, & yet>

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

Seem completely unfazed by the idea that he raped a child. Get your priorities straight, you fetid fuckwit.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Holy shit this users comment history is a shitshow. I'd say troll behaviour but could also just be stupid

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

It's in the article, but how does this change any argument? It's ok to deny a 10 year old abortion because it was an illegal immigrant?

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Matt Gaetz, Donald Trump, and Gym Jordan are all also sex offenders. They're ok because they're not "illeguls"?

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

So what you’re saying is that conservatives are torn between helping child molesters become fathers and their Great Replacement narrative.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Tell me you’re unliterate without telling me you’re unliterate. (I believe you can read - just that you don’t.)

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

You want to know something funny? I didn’t know, “unliterate,” was an actual word. I assumed what it meant. Just never heard it.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There's no time to read when there's pedophiles to defend

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean, it's there in the BBC post. Also, immigration status doesn't make someone a rapist, which was the crime here, so it's a side-story.

4 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 4

Doesn't really matter in the big picture, unless you believe no US citizens rape young girls.

4 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 3

That’s what Y’all-quaeda believes. Sex is men’s right, women & girls are always asking for it, & aren’t actually human anyway, so it’s fine.

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I only get turned on when I'm desired and wanted, I don't get how anyone can get horny when forcing themselves on someone... Sociopaths?

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

People who are ok with rape or dismissive of it definitely have an empathy deficit.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

There’s a well documented black empathy gap. It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a female empathy gap, too.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why don’t you have a seat and explain to the crowd why you think that’s the most important factor in a case involving the rape of a child.

I'm guessing he's a racist pedophile

state law to carry her rapists baby to term regardless of the fact that she's too young for that. /2
