My current turntable, Pro-Ject Audio Genie 1.3. Sounds quite good with a few key mods.

My previous daily driver, a Dual 621 I refurbished from top to bottom.

Toshiba SR-F770, one of their best full auto direct drive decks. Had the original Empire cartridge installed.

Dual 1225 I picked up for 15 dollars. It needed a full overhaul to get the auto mechanism running. These idler drive tables are really neat mechanically.

Simple tone control box I built for my dual subwoofer circuit.

Chinesium inside but it does the trick.

A custom phono preamp I built based on the Audiokarma CNC design.

Nakamichi 500 dual tracer. Really nice toploader cassette deck from the 70s. I made oak panels to replace the ugly MDF boards it came with.

Sony TA-1066 amp and a Sears tuner.

Realistic graphic equalizer with spectrum display. I regret selling this one.

Sony TC-280 reel to reel I rebuilt from two broken units.

Sony TC-630 I had for a bit. This one never worked right and I gave up trying to fix it. It was truly nightmarish to work on.

Dual 1226 I fixed up for my parents.

My first turntable and the most complicated I've ever owned, a Pioneer PLL800 linear tangential direct drive quartz locked unit with full auto functions that used optical sensors and an electromagnetic tonearm drive. I bought it broken for 7$.

Sansui FD-R35. Nothing particularly special. Aside from the neat strobe window.

My main cassette deck, a Nakamichi LX-3. One of the best two head decks ever made. This one was a long haul to restore, it took me a year to finally get it running flawlessly.

With original manual and receipt from 1983.

These are just a few highlights, I flip stuff on a weekly basis so my collection is always changing. It's a fun hobby and I've learned a lot about electronic repair through trial and error. I'm a mechanical guy in most of my interests so this has become an extension of my love of motorcycles, cars, guns, and watches.
