As someone who has blackened more food on one than he can count, *I* certainly felt challenged after a point.

Back when my GF was still ambulatory, she drove to the local mall where she parked in the disabled parking space near the building & hung her handicapped placard from the rearview mirror to go inside & collect her paycheck at her part-time job.
As she made her way to the entrance, a tall, well-dressed man remarked, "You don't look disabled."

After a moment of careful scrutiny, she smiled sweetly & replied, "Well, you don't look like an asshole," then turned & continued slowly to the door.

And those that do have an external 'sign', you can't see the pain, fatigue, weakness, neurological difficulties, cognitive dysfunction, any of the internal effects of what you can externally see.

Basically, don't judge, and believe people when they tell you what accommodations they need whether they have any external indication of disability or not.
