I just finished my first semester of culinary school coming from a background where my Spanish grandmother would never let me cook (or clean, or do laundry, or other “women’s” work) so I am rather proud of myself. My wife is out of state visiting her new nephew so I bought supplies for a meal for one.

Husband is self-taught cook (from my Betty Crocker cookbook) bc on our first Thanksgiving together, I had to work. Years later, still cookin

Didn't take a pic of my dinner, but if you just google 'bologna sandwich' .. they pretty much all look the same
VincalisTheAgitator
Same. Good lookin plate though!
okbruh
Thanksgiving alone when you're not "alone" looks nice. So much less depressing.
lovestars
I had bacon by myself. Successful day I’d say.
rocostarr
That drumstick looks like a fist.
jloam
Looks exactly like what I had. Except for leg, I had sliced turkey meat. I too was alone. But then, I've had many many exceptional meals.
reddenbocker
You had thanksgiving this year. I had some sausages and ramen. Don't feel too bad.
TheJustOkayGatsby
Saw a lot more supplies at the grocery store for smaller thanks givings. I wouldn't have had turkey if they didn't sell half breasts
TheJustOkayGatsby
I ain't making a whole turkey for 1
PopTrogdor
You go to culinary school and THAT is the mashed potato you make. Urgh, you gotta step up your game.
blondasaurusrex

Well done!!! Happy Thanksgiving!

Never married, no kids, not dating... eat every meal alone including holidays. At least I get to work remotely to avoid the commute. Sweet!
lildude52ca
Jokes on you. i've always had thanksgiving alone.
MaurnaElegYiar
@op 1lb cranberries, 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, medium heat until the berries start to burst. Thank me later
Christx30
Buddy at work didn't have anyone this year. Socially distanced. So we got a bunch of our meal and took it over to him. He really enjoyed >
Christx30
it. Said my wife is a good cook. I said, "Happy Thanksgiving, brother."
MadamYouAreLurking
You are in culinary school and ate canned cranberry sauce and boxed stuffing?
pegmis
First semester was mostly “here are the temps you need. Here is a knife. Don’t cut yourself.” We had someone fail the final from a cut
MadamYouAreLurking
Yeah.. mine was similar....we all passed our finals though LOL GL in school!
pegmis
Thank you. You as well
daliamonra

A modest meal, but looks damn good. Stuffing, in particular, is making me drool.
gheorghiumihai77
You did that gravy yourself? How you did it?
Immutablespellingderp
My thanksgiving is a 6 pack of coors, chicken, and sweet potatoes. Happy thanks giving!
clipboardfuntime
I just made a big pan of dressing. It's the only side I really need on thanksgiving. and a 6 pack of Budweisers.
Blud4BludGod
I made myself a god-tier grilled cheese sandwich with thick cut bacon in it, had a large beer, and smoked a shitload of weed. Life is good.

My thanksgiving was me delivering food to others, while my daughters at her moms, my family shunned me, my brother died so I am very tired.
Jakethesnake357
Mine wasn't too far off from that lost both my parents in the past year or so, daughter was elsewhere no other family left really, sucks

nice plate but tell me more about that table top please
lykkebroer
What a lovely decor for the table! I'm a huge fan of mid century design.
wandergeist
Looks like half the tables I sat at as a kid. Formica and "the space age" were the future.
pegmis
That table has been to more states than I have. My father and his family sat around that table when they were young children. 1/

You broke bitch.
suntoryhanzo
I'm pretty sure my grandma had that table top. Metal frame around edge. Circa 1960s?
pegmis
When my uncle moved, he took the table with him. It has been all over the country and was included in the sale when I bought his house 2/
pegmis
And only because he was not able to bring it with him. I cleaned out the shed more or less 6 times and each time I found something new. 3/

I’m finally done but among the treasures were stamps from the lunar landing (given to a collector), an iron footpeddle sewing machine 4/
