This is ridiculous at this point. Not sure how much longer I can keep this up at this rate.

The double towel is actually 1 paper towel and 1 toilet paper. I can't imagine being able to afford 2 of either.

wtf

prices

If not a matter of IF it's now becoming a matter of WHEN.

Spend less on avocados.

$18 for 5 dozen eggs is a hell of a deal.

Does this Costco location stock this?

If you took a pic or listed out everything you got, that'd give us a better idea how much you're getting gouged.

Buying in bulk. That’s like 2 12-packs of paper towels. Rags aren’t a thing I guess?

Stop using oil when cooking. Save a ton of money.

So are these like 15-packs of paper towels and a gallon of EVOO or something?

Yes

/gallery/BxFJDug/comment/2437828827 A 12-pack of paper towels, but only half a gallon of EVOO.

Get the non-virgin olive oil. Got a bit of a white sheen to it, but it works okay.

I can't. I have an agreement with the roommates on what we buy. They spend $200 on groceries for the household and I was supposed to spend $200 also. They made the list for me, and gave me the cheap I have they pay $200. I paid $171

Drop the avocados stuff and you'll also be saving cash on your toilet paper bill from not having to wipe your arse so much!

Is the 70% alcohol for keeping the glass bongs and pipes clean?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

no, theres no one in the household that does any kind of drugs at all, i personally have never done any thing even to try it out at any point in my life, its mostly for disinfecting the bathroom or deep cleaning kitchen counter.

Why not use more reusable towels that you wash if you don't want to spend so much on paper?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We do. We mostly use reusable cloth to wipe stuff, with that said, we still need paper towels in the house and we ran out. This isn't monthly, but it is for this time and it's expensive

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How long does it last? $21 for two months is not that expensive.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The paper towels will last longer than 2 months. The actual issue is they are expensive and I'm really low on cash, and I still have bills to pay this month which I don't even know where I'm going to get the money for. It's just upsetting

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I get that. Even if it's maybe not "expensive" per se, it's definitely still a lot of money. :/

Aldi!!!

You might be buying what you want instead of what is on sale and figuring out recipes for that. Eggs at $3/dz might be out of your budget,

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eggs are the most reasonable thing on here.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Toilet paper? I don't recognise most of thode tbh

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

beans might be better. Vegi oil or butter are worse for you but cheaper than avocado, or wait for sales and coupons.

Buys $60 of fancy cooking oil. "Why is my bill so high?"

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

There's health issues in the household, we don't even use oil that much because of it. Can't afford to buy cheap oil

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And the only solution is to buy 60 bucks worth of oil and some parmasean? Good luck I guess.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

wtf are you even talking about, i didnt even buy parmesan, the reality is i dont make the shopping list, my roommates spent 200$ on groceries for all of us, i was supposed to spend 200, they went easy on me and split it at 200 and 171, so i dont care whats on it, they paid more than i did on it.

Also, KS parm ssg has got to be costco brand parmasean, so it wasn't exactly a giant leap for me to mention it.

Sorry bro, I didn't even see that. That's actually sausages. For like breakfast

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Okay that's fine. That's a bunch of context that you had but didn't share. Your post seemed like you were blown away by the bill so I think people are looking at the purchases and seeing ways to do the same things for much less money. Not sure what kind of engagement you were expecting. Sorry if I upset you.
