Many of you in the comments have mentioned that there have been some tragedies in Mississippi recently that are not being addressed. People are being lynched, and that is absolutely abhorrent. However, retaliatory violence will not solve any of this. Nor will violence like that that happened to Charlie Kirk. This cannot be condoned and should be condemned. By perpetrating more violence the people in the right who we already saw get riled up when they lost one of their Talking Heads to one of their own mind you, they were ready to march in the street and pull out any minority and do gross things. This doesn't mean don't protect yourself, but this certainly means don't look for a fight, don't try to be a hero, don't try to be a martyr. History within the last 200 years has taught us that a singular person trying to change the world with violence often results in millions dying. Lastly, as a former military intelligence individual, it would be very very ill advised for someone like me to instigate kinetic actions against another, group, organization, or anything else.

There needs to be legal ramifications for shit like this.

Violence * like what happened to Kirk * is not the answer. But this is fucking gross

Sounds like inciting violence.

When do we just kill these nazis. Fafo

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, sometimes, violence is exactly the answer.

People who espouse violence against others for things beyond their control should be met equally with the same level of violence in self defense.

If they want to live by the sword, then let them die by it.

So Pam bongo is going to arrest them all Rico style as promised for hate speech right?

Freedom of speech as long as we can kill those that make us cry.

OK.

Time to hang him up high.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I dont support him being murdered but I would find it hilarious if someone hung him up high and then MAGA were outraged and posting AI generated photos of him in heaven with doves on his shoulder or whatever.

"RNC parodies Ice Ice Baby"..... That's a bigger problem than they anticipate. They'll get a lawsuit from Queen (who largely receives all of the revenue from that song) who have NEVER been even CLOSELY aligned with their views.

Germany learned the hard way that humans in a society need strong laws and punishments against hate speech. The USA is going to learn the same lesson: I hope less bloodshed will be involved, but knowing the USA, that's not likely.

But you know, that's the left that should 'tone it down'.

Right-wingers publicly advocating for people's harm, subjugation, and/or eradication = "fReE sPeEcH aNd FaMiLy VaLuEs!"
...Anyone else publicly denouncing hate speech & those who spew it = "RaDiCaL vIoLeNt RhEtOrIc ThAt ThReAtEnS LiBeRty AnD FaMiLiEs!"

This is the part I have such trouble with. "He was killed for political reasons!" As if all the kids that are shot in school aren't killed for political reasons.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In the UK there are laws about this crap, precisely because of people doing this. We wouldn't need the laws if there weren't asshats who think this is acceptable.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Because I accept people different from me and refuse to hate people because of their nationality or skin tone, I'm now a violent radical leftist? It's not the left calling for lynching. It wasn't a leftist who killed a legislator, her husband, and her dog. Not a leftist who tried to kill Trump and not a leftist who killed Kirk. This is a page directly out of the 1936 German playbook. These people intend to sieze power and persecute anyone they perceive as "other".

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

@OP They have lynched two black men in Mississippi since Kirk died. If you don't believe in violence, then you don't want repercussions.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I need to be clear. Because I am an online content creator, and a former targeter for the United States military and government. I cannot condone and violence like Kirk had happened to him.

That being said, I was not aware that there has been another person lynched. This is absolutely grotesque. And very much needs to be dealt with. However, if it is not dealt with had a larger level without using violence, and changing the systematic issues that cause this there will be no actual repercussion.

2) right now no one is being held accountable, and the attention is not being given to these atrocities. I do not see where violence would make any of this any better. Instead it would instigate the right, and give them the ammunition metaphorically that they need to go on their Purge that they want to. In layman's terms hitting the aggressor in the head with a brick and walking away is not going to change anything other than there will be more aggressors that will seek vengeance for the one.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then keep hitting them. Because they never stopped hitting us.

You're not wrong, and please know that I and implying that you are.

I won't hold my breath for the rights outrage on the calls for violence and murder ...

1 year ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 3

No no Pam Bondi JUST said that hate speech that calls for violence will be prosecuted across the aisle. And I'm sure she meant it. Super sure. Sooooo sure. Any minute now....

1 year ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

but yeah, it's the left that have the monopoly on political violence. /s

1 year ago | Likes 313 Dislikes 6

We aren't even minority shareholders in political violence. Not that all the studies and stats in the world can convince people otherwise.

1 year ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Could you provide the source for this "information", or is it merely your opinion?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 12

Yes. Yes I can

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That chart is misleading, because Islamic Extremism is essentially the same as right wing extremism.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure they count protests disrupting traffic as "political violence".

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They did a study on how the left does more political violence! I swear it's real!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If only the left did. I mean, the death toll of the two Trump admins, so far... they only think the left is more violent because they can't really measure the amount of people capitalism has killed.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

They NEED to make people imagine the left is violent to excuse and legitimize THEIR violence. They know they're full of shit, they're playing the crowd.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They only think left is more violent because that's what's been told to them by every outlet they follow.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Pretty much, and there isn't really an official death count for capitalism, the numbers vary wildly. But if you take the same standards as those in the Black Book of Communism, it makes Stalin look like a schoolyard bully.

This country and a LARGE number of people in it absolutely disgust me.

1 year ago | Likes 632 Dislikes 6

my favorite part of all of this is every conservative assuming that they're just going to be able to sweep through communities with absolute impunity to "root out anyone they don't like and call antifa" like they're the only ones that are armed. this shit is only going to end one way. it's just a matter of time before we get there

I'm European and always tried to convince myself the US people are nice and it's the government which I dislike but shit like that makes me question myself

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How far can the First Amendment be interpreted?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Further than this. It’s hateful destructive trash, but legal.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, but it's the complicit that really piss me off. Namely my family and friends that don't condemn their actions

1 year ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

Yup. I warned my mother shit is going to hit the fan soon, and she and others I know need to wake up. If she wants to ignore what her generation has and is continuing to do to this country, sadly, I will have less respect for her.

Quote from my ma in law. People don't change. She can take her religious right belief system and go straight to hell

Mine too. Idiots.

1 year ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Same. Only have one parent still in contact; they are an absolutely brain dead person who just believe everything at face value that the algorithm feeds them. Spends all day watching those copaganda body cam shows and browsing Facebook.

I stopped trying to explain to them when they still infantilize me and just spout "I'm older than you, and my life experience tells me more than any of your fancy book learning"

You cannot reason with illogical people.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It makes me feel physically ill to know I'm related to/was previously friends with people that support this regime and americas descent into fascism.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Same, I'm truly alone now. Thank God for my cats. They're better company anyways!

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So does a big part of the rest of the world. It sucks the fall of the US will bring so much shit to other countries too.

1 year ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Then maybe the world needs to step up and help crush these facists' regimes rising and so on. But everyone just talks a good game, but is too afraid to do anything. Why Good will ultimately always loose to Evil. Good is too weak or unwilling to take the measures to eliminate evil because of silly reason like we just become them or so on. While the few of us willing can't get any proper support because the whole government is corrupt or complacent.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree and am most likely part of that same group who talks a good game. Absolutely I'm not envious of your position in this one.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You mean Charlie Kirk who died of a fentanyl overdose? He would have been fine if he didn't have all that fentanyl in his system. I heard he also had an enlarged heart, which lead to his death. (Again, I'm treating him like he treated George Floyd.)

Yeah we knew, didn't need to add the parenthesis.

Common misconception but that is more typical of neckbeards as opposed to Nazis.

"No foul play"... yeah, and Russian oligarchs just happen to fall out of windows all the time.

1 year ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

I’m not saying it couldn’t happen, but I feel like lynching oneself is a little more effort than most want to put in, in such time of desperation. It’s often about finding an end to pain, not about exerting effort to make a statement. And if a statement is to be made, it’s most often in the form of a “written” message.
As someone who’s tried a few times, knows people who have also tried, and knew people who have succeeded, self-termination is more about ending torment than sending messages.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hang black men and make them corpses.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They're claiming it's suicide, which... It's *possible*, but EXTREMELY rare for someone to hang themselves in a public area.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Suicide where he broke his arms and legs

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have we had confirmation of that I've seen anything from he had a previous broken leg (and that's why his friends couldn't figure out how he would have been able to) to this with arms and legs broken found after the death. I've seen nothing solid lots of I heard but no official report?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

not just extremely unlikely, it's also ridiculously hard to set up for oneself. there's almost no way it's suicide.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

11 years in EMS I've been to and have many coworkers as well respond to suicides in all these years 1 was from a tree in his backyard and PD initially considered it suspicious until a text was found to his ex

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Right? 11 years of calls and just one, and backyard so still semi-private. I'm sure hanging one's self in a public place has *happened*, but...
