I'm in Canada but I recall how Obama inherited an absolute dumpster fire from Bush. He did an amazing job considering starting off with crap. His strategy for healthcare reform was putting up some speed bumps that slowed down the rate at which the insurance companies were increasing the amount they're fucking us. We went from "pre-existing conditions" to "prior authorizations," and writes giant checks to insurance companies.

Quantitative easing and setting the central interest rates are things done by the Federal Reserve. Not by the President. And the Fed is independent, as you can see every time Trump demands lower interest rates and even his newly-installed crony does not do it.
