I've tried again and again to get into the show but can't. I get why people like it (like Seinfeld) but it just doesn't hit with me, IDKW.

You really gotta get to the end of season 1. If you watch the whole of season 1 and arent curious to watch further, I guess I get it but there's a big thing and it recontextualizes the whole show to the point watching S1 again after that also makes sense to do.

How far did you get into it? What particularly don't you like about it? The season 1 twist is really strong, but the show shifts gears a ton, and it's ultimately very sweet and heartfelt.

That's what I'm seeing. I've gotten as far as when the guy portraying a monk admits he's not who they think. I do like Ted Danson and the whole "Teaching Kristen Bell To Be A Good Person" thing. I have a ton of free time, so I'll probably give it another shot.

That's only episode 4. There's a major shift in episode 8, where the meme in the OP is from. I don't want to oversell it, but it's my favorite TV show ever. I've watched it 4 times.
