I don't trust my decisions. And given my track record, that's not gonna change.

Here's a real mind-shocker: in Japan, when it rains but the sun is out, it's called a "fox wedding," kitsune no yomeiri. It is believed you should go indoors, because if you stay outside and accidentally enter the wedding site uninvited the foxes will put a curse on you. But in Kenya, when it rains and the sun is out, they call it a fox wedding, and believe you should go indoors because if you stay outside and accidentally crash the wedding site, the foxes will put a curse on you. Coincidence?

Shoebills! They look more like something from Labyrinth than a real animal.

There are basically no “pure” wolves anymore since they all have ancestors mixed with jackals and coyotes

It's a fox

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That kind of begs the question. Was there ever such a thing as a pure wolf, and if so how could there have been?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There had to have been, since the definitions came after the fact. So whatever the taxonomists decided (or decide in the future, in the case of changing information and perspectives) was the base gets that label.

Right you are. Didn't think of that, thanks.
