I’ve heard multiple people say this shit, when I brought up politics with them. And for a while I listened to it.
I’m not tolerating this shit anymore. I’ll cut out every person in my life who voted to strip away the rights of people I care about. And my only regret is that I didn’t speak up sooner.

I lost 2 very good, very close friends just over the Covid crisis. So if I find out you’re a Fascist, Nazi or a Trump supporter … regardless of our relationship … there’s the door.

Here's one for you... I am not your friend, I don't know you, I don't care to know you, but I still want you to live your best life. Guess what? I want to live mine too. We actually can disagree and both live fully happy and whole lives. Do I like everything that the gov dictates? NOPE. It makes life damn hard. But I know that my options are limited so I focus on what I can control and what makes me happy amidst the BS. Good luck on your journey.

It should be ok though. Disagreeing on politicians should be about pros and cons and people's personal priorities. Not life and death. It's bonkers that this level of extreme difference is in serious conversation, let alone voted in

Refusal to communicate creates a vacuum of knowledge and thus it becomes very easy for the dehumanization of whatever marginalized group they oppose. Trump wins when we don’t try. It's not that you're wrong but the medium for communication has changed. It's no longer stand on your soapbox on the street corner, it's who has the most followers on social media and their podcast. And as it's been discovered, most of today influencers have been paid for by foreign money. One person reaching 10 people will have less of an affect than one person reaching a million people
