They do seem awesome. Although I listened right past something they were saying about races, ethnicities, and religions when I put them on shuffle. Hope that wasn't anything big
I am a massive fan. They are fighting for inclusivity. Are you talking about gadaar maybe? Or maybe a line on bdsk.exe that might have caught you off gaurd. Honestly these guys are worth a deep dive listen with translated lyrics.
Whenever bands mix in shit like flutes or violins or other 'classical' instruments into metal, it never fails to impress me. 'Here's this beautiful delicate instrument that was originally designed to serenade the listeners with soulful ballads or jaunty tavern tunes, and we're using it to rock the fuck out.'
You ever listened to Dark Model? Their music is a delightful mix of like, a lot of things. Some of it metal and classical. Also another band that genre melds in that direction (more so in their beginning albums before they changed singers, but their new stuff is good too) is Diablo Swing Orchestra. DSO has been one of my favorite groups for a while now.
Theyre one of the ones I came across too! Kai Tangata goes hella hard. Id recommend checking out Voice of Baceprot out of Indonesia. They don't have a huge library, but still pretty solid. Slaves to Sirens from Lebanon is pretty solid too. Skinflint out of Botswana is solid, and Biomorphic Engulfment from Thailand was pretty decent.
Oh, and if you haven't yet, check out Zeal and Ardor. Technically they're Swiss/American, but they incorporate a lot of elements from black cultures (both African American black and black magic black). If you ever wanted to hear a field holler about Satan, Devil is Fine fits the bill.
I know skinflint because I am from South Africa. Also have heard baceprot. Will listen to the others. Thanks. If you want some cool south African ones I can reccomend the narrow, springbok nude girls and fokoffpolisikar.
They're alright. It's nice to see metal groups from other countries that embrace and include their traditional music, but in the end, this is just so-so.
Yup, I'm not even a huge metal fan and I love these guys, never seen anyone sing with passion from the heart about internal battles like them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uJoN_I9ebQ My fav song by them "Jee Veerey" a song about depression
Well... After browsing around their songs, I think these guys are just not quite for me... Although the visuals in their videos are definitely novel and fun.

Another good non-English metal band for folks to check out is Alien Weaponry. They're a New Zealand trio that sings primarily in te reo Māori.
