#1 I know an Eve, who was Adam, yes; she's not super funny or witty, but she's always been a nice person towards others, so it's good that she's happier in life.

One of my trans friends is named Nadia, which is a palindrome of her deadname, Aidan

That is clever.

I've only ever encountered one Eve, and she was trying to boss me around, so I asked what her name was, then replied with "Like Summer's Eve? Douche." and walked away

At least she could choose that interpretation, My name is derived From "jahve is greatest" and i have never been a member of any church.

I ask people a lot what their name means and they always get confused by it. I'd imagine most people don't even know if their name is religious or not

All you had to do was leave the snakes alone.

Bet you didn't see your transition coming

I was contemplating whether the appropriate pun was going to be based on Tiresias' foresight, blindness, or having had his head snapped backwards in Dante's Inferno. I assume you intended this to go with the second?

I took my Great-Grandmother's name, who I used to spend time with growing up and she taught me all about the outdoors. I miss her, she was amazing.

No to throw shade....but what is it with transwomen and naming themselves after the worst old lady names you can think of. Like Enid, Beaulah, Gerladine...

Like if you named yourself after your important grandma you do you... but Enid?

🎶 Enid, we never really knew each other anyway 🎶

Our subjective opinions aren’t objective facts. Taste is subjective. If you think Mildred sounds frumpy and Ophelia is eye roll worthy, you do you. Doesn’t make me like the things I like even less. And the moment I realized I didn’t need to apologize for liking the things I like, my life became 1,000x more enjoyable.

You don't know my/her name. And those are perfectly acceptable names BTW.

100 years from now people will be like “Heather? wtf kind of old-ass grandma name is that?” And 150 years from now they will be like “Blue Ivy TikTok? What are you 102?!” We’ll probably all be dead thanks to climate change beyond that and the surviving android hybrids probably won’t have hang-ups about out-of-fashion names; they’ll just judge each other’s bar codes and ostracize the beings with inefficient checksums.

May the cycle be discontinued

Some names will last until the extinction of the human race or the very idea/concept that spawns them is gone.

Off the top of my head. Any famous greek hero or character of myth that is regularly used.

Literally any popular relgious name like a biblicle one. Or obvioulsy Chris/Christopher which literally means of christ.

“Tiffany” will probably last forever. Google “the Tiffany problem”
