Let my left index finger slip while cutting meat for dinner, the carne asada almost ended up with some extra flavoring in the form of my fingernail. ALWAYS keep those fingers curled and pay attention to where that knife is!
Edit: This is at the hospital, after the third round of cauterizing and a funky web substance that was supposed to stop the bleeding.
6 hours to get in, have them go "Yup, you cut the shit outta that finger!", get all burney burney wrappy, and then home to cold carne asada
