Sorry not sorry
Other terrible breeds from working in a vet clinic: miniature dachshunds each have a little piece of Satan living in them (mini wieners are big dicks); chihuahuas are the worst; huskies seem to share a crack cocaine source.
Good breeds: alaskan malamutes are gentle and calm as fuck; giant schnauzers are super chill, standard poodles are smart as shit.
Chebear101
Anatolian(?) Shepards never calm down. Like ever. It takes hours.
imalittlehedgehog
We have a Min Pin and a poodle. It is a terrible mix. Like having Pinky and the Brain living under your roof.
The22ndDoctor
But Corgis are the best toy cars: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/model-cars/corgi
NewUserNamesAreHard
Doxies are giant dicks, they don't give a fuck what you want
BeenthereDonesome
Also. If you live in a hot climate, do not get an Alaskan Malamute. They are miserable in +70F climate. -An Alaskan.
Angaram
How did I read this as orgys? Oh and I have never actually seen a real corgi here.
ImgursModsShouldReadPostsBeforeUsingTheBanHammer
But in mythology Fairies us to ride Corgis into battle....probably explains the somewhat fay attitude....nah, just kidding, Corgis are dicks

every Corgi I have owned has pooped and turned around and ate it's own shit. I have owned 1 Corgi. That's enough to make up my mind.
catscatsyeahcats
I would like to state for the record my awareness that there are exceptions to every rule. There are fantastic and shit dogs in every breed.
djmd808
+100 on the mini dachs being total asshats. Had one for 18 years and hated that effer.
cakeresurfacer
I didn't know giant schnauzers were a thing until recently.
imaginedear
Corgis are over bred and deformed.
DidntBreakRulesBannedAnyway
my sis in law had a poodle that took multiple commands in both spanish and english. he was toy, but very nice dog.

HassovonManteuffel
Dachshunds are Satan spawn, one of the most aggro breed I've met. One dug under the fence and started killing my family's chickens. Lil shit
JustAMinnesotaImguy
Can confirm with similar experience in a vet clinic. Small dogs in general are hard to deal with without the owners around.
CaptCanada
ive noticed corgis tend to be one of the prime furbaby breeds right up there with the others you listed, except huskys, theyre hella hyper
Rimasticus
But you are biased as a vet tech. You see them at their worse.
catscatsyeahcats
I can understand your point here, but I also have a dog and therefore frequent many dog parks as a result and see similar behavior.
Rimasticus
Dog parks can also be stressful on small breeds, it is hard to train a small animal not to be scared of larger ones.
zcsnightmare
Agree about dachshunds and huskies. As a dog trainer, corgis have been good for me. Jack Russells and rat terriers are lil nippy shits tho.
cakeresurfacer
I had a jack Russell beagle mix. Hyper as hell but not nippy and fairly well behaved. He's 10 and just starting to loose his puppy energy
catscatsyeahcats
Jack Russells definitely get an honorable mention in my "miss me with that shit" category.
AladdinTheMuffinMan
Yeah, I don't like animals
JRSpazz
I'm partial to the Boston Terrier. <3

I'm commenting too much on this, but Corgis were bred as working dogs, not pets. They make terrible pets if they cannot run a lot.
Thehumanracestinx
I have a corgi and he's the best dog I've ever had. Amazing with my kid an cat and polite His worst problem is dingleberries cause, butt fur.
catscatsyeahcats
Yeah, you definitely have to pay attention to the needs of every breed and choose accordingly based on your abilities and environment.
BeenthereDonesome
as a person who worked at a pet store and did not treat it as a job rather than an investment of knowledge, yes. I learned a lot.
Thehumanracestinx
??? My corgi is the healthiest best behaved dog I've ever had. Everyone I know who has one says the same. What area of the country do you li
Thehumanracestinx
Live in?
WaxyNips
How much of this is due to owners not training their dogs?
catscatsyeahcats
Owner training is a huge factor. In a lot of cases, I get more upset with owners than dogs. But some breeds require excess training.
justleaveittome
Like my Shiba inu.
PlaidGuitar
My half shiba is a right bastard, so I get where you're coming from.
rcrav
Probably 100%. Food aggression is easy to sort out. Take the little cunt's food away if it starts that shit.
HamsterOnAGoat
Everything except being stupid I would say. As much as I love corgis, they can be as dumb as a rock
DragonFromAFewDoorsOver
Or directly giving the dog food regularly, so that it learns that people aren't a threat to its food. Many methods exist depends on the dog.
rcrav
That also - they need to understand that the human is the SOURCE of the food and the alpha.
