I competed in the cosplay contest and had a ton of fun!!! I stumbled on stage but it’s ok bc I corrected myself and didn’t fall over and break everything

interesting fact: The crosspiece on a spear was to prevent the blade from piercing too far into enemies and getting stuck. But could also be used to assist with trapping or binding with other weapons or limbs.

#6 Knowing how much time went into this whole project, that perpetual grin is 100% well-earned. Congrats on the award! Although, looking at the whole outfit again, I just thought of something: Isn't it kinda hot in there, walking around in all of that for prolonged periods? I know most cosplays don't have much ventilation, but this one seems especially...insulated, I guess would be the word?

Yeah it was pretty brutal. I had to take a lot of breaks (even went back to my hotel for a few hours) and find ac vents around the con!!
