I'm a data and spreadsheet nerd, so I've been playing with covid-19 data because that helps me feel like I've got some kind of control over his horrible situation the world is in. And there's this weird pattern in multiple countries: People tend to not die on Sunday. Sometimes this effect moves over to Saturday or Monday.
Above: The USA, deaths per day. Dips every Sunday.

The UK: same story. Dips every Sunday. Again, sometimes it moves towards Monday or Saturday as well.
But not in Canada, or not as noticeably.
I have no explanation as to why this is. It's just weird.

Hospitals close for the sabbath. They kick you out & close the doors. They open again on Monday morning.

Really? Can't think of a single thing that would cause the REPORTED deaths to drop during the weekend and then catch up during the week?

I think those are the days theyre reported, but not necessarily the day of death?Read it on one of those tracking sites but cant find it now

It is likely to be when the death is reported, not when it occurs.
