10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Thought I was gonna learn new tricks with my phone. :(

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Uhh... Go tap on the android is version a bunch then when it changes hold the screen down for a few seconds. There you go.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shitty plug at the bottom / username. BOOOOO I say. BOOOOO

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

How does this ad including mostly obvious shit have 5000 upvotes?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If you think viewing installed apps is a hidden feature, you don't deserve to own an Android device.

10 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 2

Or air. Seriously, who showed you where we hide the air?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This. Yes.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I love when posts make it to the fp just to be told they suck

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

thank you, very useful

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So hidden they won't load on mobile

10 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 3

Y u do dis imgur

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Irony? or you just miss out on the ad at the bottom to hire someone to help you with your phone?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It says "hire mobile developer" not "tech support" or "repair.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it an experiment to see how dumb ppl are , have upvoted for an ad, kudos everyone

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Why the fuck is my phone in India?

10 years ago | Likes 231 Dislikes 4

How much did you drink last night?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

All of it

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And that's why.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How much did you drink last night?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It just needs to get away for a while and think about your relationship.

10 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 2

OP wrote apps and is trying to push them here, probably.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Trusted Places: None.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone that just traded my iPhone in for a android... yay

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Some of these are built in features of specific phones and operating system versions, others are apps. This is a bull crap list

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Holy fuck. Learn to write.

10 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 5

Can you write in Hindi too?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

I was to thinking the same same thing about what you said before I then replied .

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This fucked me. Up worse than post fucked up.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

None of this is hidden or anything other than common sense when using a phone. OP not so clever.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@sarah you might have a bot problem

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

@sarah seriously. Why is imgur permitting spambots to sit at the front page?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Because people are too lazy to click: report -> spam. It takes few people relative to how many are viewing.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How the heck did this get to FP?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Big walls of something tend to get less critique, people more easily upvote them.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here's one: How to stop it from automatically turning down the volume

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Seconded!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doesent have the angrybirds game thats hidden in android. Disappointed.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Flappy bird. Sorry. Tap the android version in about device in settings. Then hold in on lollipop. Has to be 5.0

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Find the phone in your room with 1000 meters accuracy. Sweet.

10 years ago | Likes 392 Dislikes 8

Yea np I'll just scan this square kilometers for my phone

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's on spotty 3g only, with wifi and gps on, that range gets down to about 3ft. I've used it a bunch. And you can force it to ring at (1)

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

full volume, too. It's a great built in feature. And if it gets stolen you can remotely lock and wipe the phone too. (2/2)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think that's misleading. One time I used it to find my phone within my own house

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rich peoples problems............*Very rich people

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Bro that's only 785,000 square meters. Should be able to find a phone in there somewhere...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If data and/or Wi-Fi is on and location services is also on, it can get to be within 3-5 meters

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ha. My wife's iPhone is accurate to 0.91 meters (3 ft).

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Once you find out that your phone is within your home, you can use Android Device Manager to have it ring the phone, even on silent.

10 years ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 0

I was super stoked until I realized I knew this already...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

About phone > multiple tap on Android version > 5 taps on the image then long press : BOOM hidden flappy bird on lolipop and above

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Holy fuck this game is hard. I didn't even get past 1. How the hell are you supposed to play?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Some says that once 1000 points have been reached you win your weight in phone

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think the actual flappy bird was a lot easier, not easy, but easier

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I feel like a hacker now... thanks, also, Flappy bird is bulls**t, and I hate you.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My first comment on imgur is to tell you that I hate you. I want to break my phone. I got 2 one time, 1 about 10 times and 0 about 100.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

install Send Me To Heaven.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After 485 attempts I have a high score of 1. Fuck that game..

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My phones still on 4.4.2 and says theres no more updates but there are.. it won't update, and my GPS won't work, HELP

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Upvoted for hidden feature. Downvoted after a high score of 1 after 40 or 50 attempts. Came back and upvoted for actual hidden feature.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hmm. Mine just brings up a lollipop with the word "lollipop" in the middle. It changes color when tapped, but that's it. Droid Turbo.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tap it 5 times then hold, it worked for me

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those are the exact directions in the post, which I tried. Is yours also a droid turbo?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It does. It just finally worked though! I'm terrible!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Note 3, did your lollipop change colors when tapped?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I tapped the lollipop 5 times, then long hold - that's how i got it to play.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why am I reading this; I have an iPhone?

10 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 9

Me too. I like to keep it in my desk drawer until I need it to expand my app's mobile audience.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

By then, they'll release a new iphone with new iOS and change a lot of things for no reason again.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That's why I keep an old 4. Baseline testing model.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My condolences.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 12

Yeah, almost all of these "hidden" features are built-in for us

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Got em

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Many are built in on Android too, this post is pretty retarded, but your point stands.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I didn't know people with iPhones could read?

10 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 14

;-;

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I giggled. I recently switched from iPhone to android.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an iPhone user, what the fuck did you just say punk? ..no really what did you say I can't read

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

That's not hidden. Developer mode is hidden. The little easter egg in each version and/or game, that's hidden.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wait. What's this about Easter eggs?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Go to Settings, About, and there should be an entry Android Version. Tap that until it shows, about 5 taps. Then next one sometimes tap 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or tap and hold and get a minigame. Lollipop has fake flappy bird.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey, that's cool! Except I am terrible at that game. Thanks!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Hidden Features" that need an app to install? Or are available over the usual menu? BS Title...

10 years ago | Likes 1100 Dislikes 13

Well there are features in the OS that you can't reach through only the stock software

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Most of these are built into Android phones... They are only hidden if you are computer/smartphone illiterate.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree, these features certainly aren't secret, but the usual menu is "hidden" territory to some people

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a spam post from a successful spambot. Screw this post.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's an ad, by bots. Obvious spam is obvious.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Super hidden feature, if you dial +46498-21 00 07 you can order pizza at my local pizza place.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Here's a real Hidden Feature... did you know that you can use your Smartphone to speak with another person, Wirelessly!..

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

see the "Phone" part in Smartphone is actually Latin for Unwired Voice Communication ... Neat huh?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

OMG the My App section of Play Store shows the installed app? SO hidden! Hiddener fet: the ALL shows all the apps you ever installed! #h4kzR

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Umm... I have most of these in my usual menu.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

These features are SO hidden, they're on someone else's phone!

10 years ago | Likes 192 Dislikes 1

I just tried the "My Apps" easter egg on someone else's phone, but it told me what apps they have, not which ones I have. OP lied.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I used it to track my stolen phone . Its like 3 blocks away . Ima visit these people tomorrow

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you want a hidden feature, go into the menu and tap your phone's Android version number over and over. You'll get an Easter egg surprise

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Thats awesome! Thanks for sharing

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't forget that there's at least one that's only available on select phones.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I use the WatchOn (now it's Peel) alot. Much easier then looking for remotes honestly.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The only apps are the remote and the screen recorder. The remote usually is pre-installed if your phone has an IR blaster.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

And the IR blaster itself is a feature of the phone, and a surprising number of people don't know it is there.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone who cannot keep track of anything, much less a remote, it is a lifesaver.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

...and a lot of android phones don't even have one!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mine came pre-installed but it's called Peel remote, not whatever that is up there.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

S6? Me too. I think it's the same app, but that's an old screenshot , if you look it say made by peel.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, S5 but I keep it updated so pretty much the same thing software wise.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a Note 4 and have the exact same app as well. It came pre-installed on my phone too. I think that might be a Samsung thing.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

alright, here's a hidden feature: In About Phone tap the build number 7 times to unlock the developer features.

10 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 1

Adjusting animation speed in Lollipop makes things look better, I think.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

CAUTION! Some developer options have been known to disable a phone until a factory reset - don't mess around with them

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

and at the bottom of dev options, you can limit background processes. this can make things like texts sorta wonky, though

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So I said I entered development mode but nothing gs really different. And tapping it another 7x won't turn it off lol, thanks guys!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Me too. What now?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Turn it off using the slider on top of the developer options screen.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an android developer: Don't worry, you're fine as long as you stay out of the dev menu that you just unlocked. No touchie, no breakie.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I didn't even notice a new menu but you can be sure I will now proceed to find it and brick my phone

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Glad I kept reading before I tried this. Let me know how it turns out, mate.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hopefully going to resist clicking things I haven't seen before, otherwise completely unchanged

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

tab 3x fast on Android Version and you get a picture/animation with the versions theme(like an Ice Cream Sandwich on 6.0).

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

6.0 is Marshmallow, I think you have the wrong version mate.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Thats what i meant lol. My mind just projected some sort of ice on it because it looks like one.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just tried this and there is a hidden flappy bird game. Tap and hold on the lolly pop!

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Got 51 as top score and unlocked all the avatars after getting drunk at my cousins wedding..good times

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's hard af too. 10 minutes and my high score us 3. I want to break my phone now too..

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha nice, i suck so much in that game :D

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know this already. Am hacker now?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

More of a hacker than me! Best I can do is a do-while loop.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
