She's so stupid, she threw her watch out the window to make time fly.
snakefeet1
i wonder if she knows tilman was an outspoken atheist
simplemusings
I thnk maybe P Tillman might have told her to shut her dick holster
historycat
Oh, bobbsey....you just have zero clue. "Tillman regarded the invasion of Iraq as illegal"
ballsoutflyer
Well. I'm absolutely speechless.
mouseasw
Without knowing the context I assumed it must be a porn actor.
Bigemedic
Jesus Christ, it's like she's trying to be as wrong, stupid and evil as she can.
CSlice06
Maybe she means for Americans to shoot up these beer cans…

Richard about his brother. Sums it up.
ChristopherHallett
Yep, poor Pat. Joined up after 9/11, went through all the bullshit to become a Ranger, deployed, IMMEDIATELY became aware of what complete and absolute horseshit the war was, and got murdered by a chud because of it.
antcaesar
From the people outside the USA that doesn't get it:

A can of bud light has more intelligence than ... it
michaelgjackson
Kid Rock will probably shoot that can too...
HeywouldJablowme
I mean it's like she was designed in a test tube creating pure concentrated synthesized stupid. She gives a bad name to people with GED's
Roehcai
I'm convinced her job, and MTG, is to be a distraction. Get tons of people riled up and focused on her so they're less likely to focus on the GOP's real goals/moves.
Roehcai
Quick summary for people who don't know - dude (Pat Tillman) was football guy who joined Military. He died when he was shot three times in the head at less than 10 yards away by friendly fire. It was initially reported as enemy fire, but that truth eventually came out. ---- The Washington Post reported that prior to his death, Tillman called the invasion and occupation of Iraq "fucking illegal".
MagmaCarta
ByronGetronfree
She wants it because taking three shots from your brothers just reminds Ms Boebert of her 16th birthday party.
WoodyGoodman
Jesus fucking christ they are just so amazingly and loudly stupid.
Zephyr86
It's on purpose and she is very good at her job. Not the governing, the loud and stupid-ing.
MonStar1203
Yup! F the GOP!
JustTryingToHelpDude
Wasn't there something on the FP in the last days about them keeping you angry to keep your attention? Might just be the same play here.
Jattetont
Yeah, this is the sort of thing I think they do on purpose. Invite people to make fun of you, just to show your supporters how much libs hate you.
onetimeisawbobsagetnaked
I can’t stand the “Like OMG…they’re just SO dumb!” posts anymore, these posts are a part of the problem. The only things dumber than the characters these people play are anyone who believes it’s genuine. They’re not dumb, they’re manipulative and they have an agenda and we fall right for it every second we sit here making fun of them or making these posts.
JustTryingToHelpDude
I think the smart people are behind them, deciding the role Boebert and colleagues have to play. These people are mostly just as exchangeable as an employee or an actor IMO. And maybe the right combo of stupid and blatant to behave like that in public (while not being perceived as an actor). I cannot believe that their party would let them run free and do stupid shit like that, if it wasn't carefully calculated. It's like they have professional clickbait headline authors working there.
Cargobiker530
Remember Lauren: "It takes a good guy with a gun to get shot by his own troops." I'm not sure why that's useful.

DrSchlepenstein
Klannie Oakley loves proving that she is the dumbest person around.
TemetNosce000
He was killed by his own squad and they burnt his clothes and diary to hide the evidence. Wow.
TheRealSkizick
There is a bridge by Hoover Dam named for him. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_O%27Callaghan%E2%80%93Pat_Tillman_Memorial_Bridge
Durl
Oh, the one that America killed and covered up?
Demagur
It must take genuine effort to be that shitty a person
Everyonesfavorite
Say gay? "Former NFL player turned ranger was killed by friendly fire"
thedarkcanuck
Friendly fire is technically correct, but they did it on purpose
Kragevalgt
Fragging I believe it was called in Vietnam. Though usually that involved an actual Frag grenade and frankly I don't want to look at the specifics here.
navagon
Ah so plain old regular murder then.
thedarkcanuck
No no, this is patriotic murder /s
navagon
manulofdoom
But why? Was he gay?
thedarkcanuck
No, I want to say he was trying to blow the whistle on some shit they were doing? I can't remember and I'd have to Google it
Rivenhelper
He was anti-war and thought the invasion of Iraq was baseless and unnecessary, even illegal.
manulofdoom
Yeah, that'll do it
flarflarf
no one tell her what?
kojenk
Intopnof the other stuff he was also a football player and outspoken lgbt ally
AlwaysTrustTheManInABigWhiteVan
That life was gonna be this way *clap clap clap clap*
Onepocket666
LAMovieDesign
He was a liberal atheist and a Democrat.
DazzelingToad
the guy on it was killed by friendly fire and the army tried to hide it for moral reasons. He also called the war illrgal
itsmellslikefish
And used his likeness and the lie they came up with as a recruiting puppet
itsimpossibletofindausernamethatisnttaken
Morale* I don't often nitpick but the difference is important on this one.
Mathman85
He was also an atheist, which I'm sure the Christian nationalist in her would be so happy about.
manulofdoom
Ah, that explains the death by "friendly fire"
hollywilsonpregler9000
He was also supportive of the lgbtq community.
Ruhig
That wikipedia article. What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Never had heard of him. That whole situation is so fucked up. RIP Tillman.
HonkyTonk
That’s a fucking execution! HOLY SHIT!
QuasiIntellectualChimpanzee
Behind The Bastards did an amazing episode on Tillman and the Bastards that used his death as propaganda and covered up the cause.
orangechickenfordinner
Whoa, I am actually listening to BTB right now. Not this episode, but still.
DVSBSTrD
He was murdered by the Army.
mercyPandaRunner
He was in any case, even if this wasn't "fragging". All soldiers who die in wars of aggression are murdered by their army. Many of them are murderers themselves. The world is morally multi-layered.
JemIsTrulyOutrageous
"Army attorneys sent each other congratulatory e-mails for keeping criminal investigators at bay as the Army conducted an internal friendly-fire investigation that resulted in administrative, or non-criminal, punishments." mann this entire country and all its institutions are a lie, how can anyone read about this case who has or has not served still have any respect for this country is beyond me. Disgusted, but not surprised.
QuasiIntellectualChimpanzee
I think there’s a whole generation of people who don’t remember just how big the fervor for revenge was in Afghanistan. But Iraq was *not* popular. It took the media putting their thumbs on the scale HARD and Tillman was just the propaganda coup they needed. Jessica Lynch, too. They lied about her.
wesruv
Yeeeeaaaa, if you look at military experiments, military benefits, care for vets, a mountain of terrible policy, history of cover ups; it's very clear politicians and the military do not give one shit for people they send to war. The "Support Our Troops" movement during Bush 2 was so full of shit. "Support mistreatment of troops, civilians, and destabilize a region for our lies" was more like it.
JemIsTrulyOutrageous
Yeah I harbor no illusions that it wasn't a lie all along. Everyone is sacrificial lambs for the rich, from service persons to retail. I know the whole patriotism shit was a joke. If it wasn't we wouldn't have homeless vets. Active duty should gain you lifetime support for your medical bills, your housing. Also isn't this eerily similar to the plot for a Few Good Men?
arfysdad
Jon Krakauer wrote an excellent book about it. Where Men Win Glory. Highly recommended.
norrinraddsboard
Krakauer is always a good read, usually under tragic circumstances. Into the Wild and Into Thin Air are fascinating reads
azarza
canadian bomb too.. super fucked situation
merelyadequategooglymoogly
Vegas here. We have half a bridge named after him. Or a bridge half named after him, depending on how you do the math.
ALifeMosaicSoProsaic
The Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge is the Hoover Damn I-11 bypass between Nevada and Arizona, named for a Nevadan and an Arizonan. We named our half O'Callaghan, the Arizonans named their half Tillman.
DorgEndo
Does the other half have a name?
wesruv
Yeah, my read was always: Wanted to fight for his country post 9/11, figured out the war was based on false intelligence and had nothing to do with 9/11, did his duty anyway, then died in accidental friendly fire. Fucking, ow, reality. Chill the fuck out.
normalizebeingalone
And as far as AZ goes he ended up becoming some kind of martyr to the right. His picture was everywhere and all these things assigned to him he didn't even agree or believe in. He became a conservatives wet dream post 9/11
ChristopherHallett
"accidental" "friendly" fire, sure. he got murdered by a chud because he knew the war was bullshit, and was taking notes.
LooseyGooseyBrett
Offensive wars are rarely based on truth.
onlyhalfghost
"Accidental" friendly fire that remarkably resembles intentionally shooting him in the back of the head
NineByNine
i dunno, shot three times in the head?? by friendly fire?? after saying openly the war was illegal? I'm pretty sure someone "accidentally" shot him dead for being "unpatriotic".
wesruv
Aaaand an atheist, and supported the lgbtq's, and would have hated her ass.
Randomman96
Figured out the IRAQ war was based on false intelligence. Afghanistan had legitimate reasons, and the only war he was known to have criticized was Iraq. Which BTW he didn't serve in. He served, and died, in Afghanistan. If he had any comments on Afghanistan they aren't known and likely would have been in the journal that his unit stole after he died.
Pentjotal

Comet260
"Accidental".
Lampmonster
Yeah, dude was straight up murdered and then they tried to cover it up extensively. Accident my hairy asshole.
CutChemist
I remember when this happened. It truly saddens me 😔 wasn’t an NFL player?
DonteHaversham
Cardinals I think? I could be wrong, been a long time
SadToSay
He left a very lucrative career to fight for his country. Very sad.
CutChemist
Yeah. Multimillion contract. Left it to fight a fake war, and gunned down by your fellow countrymen. God fucking damn.
wadatahmydamie
An NFL player who spoke out against the war and was murdered for it
CutChemist
It’s just… tragic.
Magjee
Was an NFL player, decided to join the army after 9/11. Realizes the whole war is bs. Gets killed by his own squad.
twoamartist
NO! Everyone tell her. Let this sick bitch know that Pat Tillman was and is a hero and a Patriot. Something she has no concept of. JFC, I’m a good person and she brings out the worst in me.
MrSnafleburger
Its not your fault, its hard to co habitate with Fascists aka Conservatives nowadays.
TinyLiehon
That's the point. She's a distraction.
CaptainWeaselFox
She's Stormfront (from Boys). She's got a guy who does her memes. Just to rile up anger and hatred. She couldn't create anything of value
CaptainWeaselFox
I honestly think that's their whole point. Like,I think they're only allowed to be in politics to distract us from the carnage being wrought on the rest of you all. I fucking hate both her and MTG. But their stupidity is addictive. Shadenfraude but with anger. Anger sells
Mathman85
Check the first link for a bunch of the responses laying into her. But avoid Twitter where some morons think Tillman would've been a MAGAt...
wadatahmydamie
Chris Kyle definitely would have been. Dude was a liar who knowingly murdered civilians. He even bragged about it in early editions of his book.
twoamartist
I did, thankfully. The first link that is. I’m not on Twitter, so no issue there. Goodness, I hope she fades away soon. Absolutely maddening.
mastamage
No, something something friendly fire incident, because guns don't kill people! I can't fill in the blanks cuz of my local laws, but I bet you can fill it in
jridley
Infections that bad need to be excised, leaving them and hoping they fade away is dangerous to the body.
davej77
Question? Is she really this dumb or am I missing something? Asking for a friend
Seanspeed
Boebert is a 'true believer' moron, yes. Her whole 'getup' has been careful crafted, because she's genuinely just some white trash chick in a costume. Seriously.
SleepyHollowAppleTree
Yes, she really is that dumb.
dudedude09
She works for Putin, as do the other extremists. Megaphone disinformation and propaganda. Divide and conquer. Destabilize and obstruct democratic institutions. Normalize extreme politics. Destroy the USA.
ArkoneAxon
Please stop. https://theconversation.com/im-not-a-traitor-you-are-political-argument-from-the-founding-fathers-to-todays-partisans-111130
dudedude09
A random article from a random source that supports your ignorance cancels out 100s of legitimate sources? You were a “do your own research” sky during Covid, huh…
Mathman85
I feel like she got trolled... Someone pretending to be on her side made it and sent it to her, and she had no idea who he was other than a good looking white male soldier. I can't imagine whoever made it picked that image without knowing who he is.
ArkoneAxon
So like Che Gueverra on a t-shirt?
donorkort
You're going to make a lot of people who just completed first semester of college very unhappy.
SantasAnagram
Che is a celebrated hero in many third world countries for a damn good reason, and no amount of American propaganda and brainwashing is going to change that.
ArkoneAxon
He's a "celebrated hero" because he died young, photogenic, and with his major crimes (including his cowardice) being ignored. Besides which, the point was that Che looks good on a t-shirt and most people don't know anything about him beyond how he looked when posing dramatically.
donorkort
I wanted to quote what Che said about black people, but I am honestly worried that it would get me permanently suspended from the site. I am in no way in favour of American imperialism, but to use Che as a symbol for progressiveness is laughable.
SantasAnagram
He's not celebrated for being progressive, he's celebrated for his role in multiple revolutions against imperial forces, most of whom had close ties with American industry, providing them with cheap goods and labour. That's why there's so much propaganda against him too.
