God I wish all the Baptist preachers I had growing up at least had the level of semi sense this character has. They would preach that the origin of the baptists were all the way back with John the Baptist and Peter didn’t found the Catholic Church but founded Baptist Christianity but Catholicism suppressed baptists (the true church) and we weren’t able to be public again until freedom of religion in Murica

There have been christian and christian leaders speaking out against Trump, GOP, christo-fascism, etc. Problem is Trump, GOP, christo-fascism, etc have swamped the air waves making folks think they represent Christianity. And they've been caught lying, being abusive, gaslighting, etc. So, someone stands up and denounces Trump, et.al, others go "do you though?" Christianity has been co-opted by terrorists, and the decent Christians are struggling to take it back.

What the right has going for it, and what makes them so dangerous, is Trump providing a clear signal on when to start using those guns, and a supposed promise to pardon them of violence afterwards. Dems and non-voters don't. So, Trump could proactively call for action while everyone else is left to react. If their call to action is swift enough, they could be going door to door rounding up folks before others have time to react. It's a scary thought.
