Biden is far from perfect. Honestly though, given the attitude of many Americans, I don't know that we were going to get anything much better on that front. Then I compare and contrast to literally any Republican, and Biden is still worlds better there. So, yeah, I'll still be voting for him in November 2024, even as I advocate for someone better in the 2028 primaries.

Because AIPAC, the Israeli governments lobby group that donates to the US to influence policy, donating to both the GOP and the Dems. They donated to Bidens campaign significantly as well, and my understanding is he has always taken their money, even when he was a Senator, so for a lot of his life. It's what most of our representatives partake in. All of it should be illegal, but it's not.

Governments rarely represent the people of their country, so it's not a question of it being antisemitic at all, it's a verifiable fact that foreign governments donate to influence policies of other countries for their own benefit. It's public record after all.

This is definitely not my specialty at all, but it's hard to imagine that clause will stand up legally unless there are very specific reasons why they can't have a union. I'd think you'd be protected if you were to try to start collecting signatures/members for a union, but take it up with someone who knows for sure. My ex started a union at her old job, she got questions answered by existing union liaisons before they made it official.

The point is that if you get the formal process started , exactly as you would have before, and document an unfair practice by the employer the union is automatically recognized without needing to win the vote. Right to work is irrelevant. End of the day,

Because I fat fingered the last sentence: end of the day Right to Work changes little pre recognition. It 'just' makes the financial position of the union a lot more precarious, and absolutely does allow for freeloading on its efforts by non-members.

The NLRB is a Government Agency, like the EPA. They TECHNICALLY have no enforcement mechanism, but they can drag you to court and (as one might expect) the Federal Courts tend to rule favorable when Federal Agencies are bringing the case.

In the tech industry, in FAANG, much of the workers and middle managers are foreigners who have visa dependency on the company so they will follow orders no matter how demoralizing. They will repeat the upper management’s lines with no care at all. Most of them agreed that they will gladly fire their employees to save their visa. And most foreign employees have no idea what is or isn’t fair workplace practice so they’ll just say things like “you get paid so you have to listen”
