Let's get this bread.
It's a Grace's Warbler.
The favorite animal of @phuckedinphilly
Pippin to me when he was a baby, probably.
Shrikes are badass.
Hell yes I am looking for my evil witch.
Italy killed a house sparrow with a tank in a training exercise.
Pippin tax!
Today's message from Pippin: "i love you! What doing?"
___
1) Are you on the run to a safe place and passing through Arizona on your way to safer grounds? My apartment is open to you to crash at, and it is a safe space. Pippin and I will make you a meal and gladly share tea, wine, or mead with you.
2) Hey! Take your meds with a full glass of water, please. Do it for Pippin, or Space Mom, or better yet, do it for yourself.
3) Ĝefeloað wē. We will carry on.
4) all funds from the sales of items at these two links will be sent to support charities aiding to fight for Trans rights in the US (not just T-shirts!)

#20 What does my head in is that the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous seas would have had something similar in icthyosaur, then plesiosaur, pliosaur and mosasaur falls, and then after a huge spike they all stopped for millions of years until whales evolved. How did that sudden loss effect benthic life?

#33 I need a devoted henchman! Where does one find such a thing?

#44 Sorry is "salsa liquor" supposed to be a negative connotation?
Fuckin brown paper packages tied up with string my dude.
Darkwell
Y'all should try a Caesar, the Canadian variant. It comes with added clam juice. Mmm, delicious clam juice.
HamSlamwich
I agree with your suggestion, but my god man, the implication that I don't what a Bloody Caesar is...
This is a tequila household. Try yourself a Bloody Maria.

#4 I teach Biological Anthropology, and in my 2nd year a meek girl said 'Are you talking about S-E-X? (spelled out)', to which I responded 'We're adults and we call it fucking'. The whole class laughed... and then she never came back. I reached out to her apologizing but she never responded. I asked the group she was in about her, turns out she was home schooled from a super religious family and it was her first real evolution class. I feel really horrible still 10 years later.

This probably made you a better teacher, and hopefully opened her eyes a little.

#14 if I wasn’t crushing hard enough, I am crushing bad now- that book got me addicted to sci-fi

#39 Reminds me of the Star Trek TNG episode (“A Mattet if Time”) where a time traveling thief goes to Data’s quarters and is blasted by a cacophony of music; he was listening to four separate classical music compositions simultaneously and explains that while he is capable of independently distinguishing up to 150 he normally limits to less than ten, “to analyze the aesthetics”.

#44 I'm addicted to crunchy snacks and have been looking for healthier options. Celery dipped in salsa is one of my recent solutions, and my first impression was, "It's like a virgin bloody Mary!"

#43 There is no crust in that bite. 3/10.
DangerBaer
Be kind.
That's obviously a struggle sammie.

Why are you calling me "TheCarKeysAreNotAToy"? My name is Pippen.

I'm sorry but your video link was stollen, wrapped in a scam URL, and bot boosted to top comment.

It's gone now, 15 hrs later. Looks like someone is getting these scam links down finally.

#5 Technically speaking, fossils aren’t bone. They are mineral deposits that take the shape of the bone that used to be there. The best way I’ve heard fossils described is something along the lines of “a fossil is a rock’s memory of once living tissue”
zuken
Fossils are made via nature's bad dragon molds.

No Discworld, but I'll allow it. 10 stars.

#33 this only works if the devoted henchman does the dishes. Signed, a divorced evil witch whose "devoted" ex husband was all talk.
(The new devoted henchman boyfriend does the dishes.)

DangerBaer
Dishwasher or manual?
racheKatze
Either is acceptable
DangerBaer
As a manual guy, I find it creates less noise. I'm a light sleeper, so I try to be considerate.
SarenStolkholm
And does them without petulantly slamming every dish and cabinet door 🙄

I do the dishes, cooking, cleaning and laundry to the best of my abilities. She is better at most of those but my attempts are sufficient for the day to day.

Dishes and... mop the floors.
EternallyNomadic
When I was younger and dumber, I used the hours I was awake early to play video games. Now, that time is spent doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchen and other areas, and I'll tell you it straight up saved my marriage. Showing your partner you care about your shared space and your life together is crucial. Guys who are baffled by getting dumped for just coasting through life doing the bare minimum (or nothing at all) have a lot of growing to do.
realpersonjacob
Agreed. I was that guy. It ended in divorce. Time passed. I grew. Studied self help. Learned I was a shit head. No longer a shit head. Happily engaged, on relationship year four. Not only do spouses need to help each other in life, but also EMOTIONALLY. Partners need this as much as they do anything else. Just need to pay attention and ask questions to your partner if you are unsure on what they want /need /like!
