Those like the imgur Mars account probably believes his nonsense, but most intelligent people know this is just more rambling nonsense from Trump.

All that is missing is for him to say that anyone refusing to pay will have their ships boarded and confiscated since the lack of payment "clearly" indicates they are Iranian customers.

So... naval piracy?

2 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Naval extortion.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pirates of the Barbary Coast

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wait, does that make the USA the bad guys?

2 weeks ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

What an asshole like usual, anything for him to personally pocket more money

2 weeks ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Just wait until tomorrow, when he says the exact opposite.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I miss not knowing anything about the fucking Strait of Hormuz.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Did anyone NOT see this coming?

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank you for your attention to this idiot.

2 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So pirates then.

"We have become a Nazi monster in the eyes of the whole world—a nation of bullies and bastards who would rather kill than live peacefully. We are not just Whores for power and oil, but killer whores with hate and fear in our hearts. We are human scum, and that is how history will judge us. . . No redeeming social value. Just whores. Get out of our way, or we’ll kill you."

"It's closed and I need NATO's help. But it's open, too. I don't need anyone's help anyway. Screw you, NATO, just go there and take your oil. Let's all make money. War? What war? I'm gonna bomb them back to the stone age. I already obliterated them. Twice. They sent me a nice gift. Iran just announced they permanently opened the Strait. Praise be to Allah! I closed it again. Squirrel! Joe Biden never opened it as many times as I have. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why can't he shut the fuck up.

2 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Because he just shows what a fucking hostile and destructive nation the US is towards the world and humankind.
At least one is showing the broken culture and evil values of it.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who cares it will change by the middle of the week.

2 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

400%, 500%, percents like no one has seen before.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A big man came up to him, a tear in his eyes and said, "You're the best at putting a 20% tax on good going through the strait. Thank you sir!"

We in the UK are paying over $8 / US gallon. In the Netherlands, it is over $10 / US gallons. It is extremely funny to see US citizens complaining about the price of fuel.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hear you. Quick question, how's your public transportation?

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude, we worked and fought hard for our public transportation, it not a special feature of this continent, it is something that we pay for and select our politicians for. Our (ex)mayor (Manchester, UK), for example, made an amazing transformation of the local mass transit, and guess what, it is reducing traffic as well! (Ex mayor since he got elected to be the PM of UK, I hope great things from him, he was amazing here)

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Quite an incentive for the rest of the world to keep working on the transition to other energy sources.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He is a deluded fantasist. How, exactly, does he think he’s going to secure the Strait? Iran has some nasty missiles and I don’t think we’re going to put an AEGIS on every tanker going through the Strait.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

jesus fucking christ I hate my fucking government

2 weeks ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 0

Everyone does. Nobody outside the USA likes what the USA govt is doing. Maybe Putin and Xi are cool with it, but I bet even they wish for a more stable and predictable adversary...

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you think you hate YOUR government you should see MINE! (probably the same)

2 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

We hate your government too...Signed, Rest of the fucking World.

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Russia and Israel seem pretty happy controlling our government.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No basis in International Law allowing him to do that. He's just going to alienate even MORE countries. Besides which, we all know he CREATED this situation in the first place. Dum-Dum :(

2 weeks ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Laws only matter if they're enforced.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like a firefighter/arsonist, he makes the fire and then asks to be paid to put out the fire.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Next World War will be the Rest of the World against USA + Israel if it continues like this.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've come to be in an absurd place, where the Iranian regime (may they all die a slow and painful death) seems to be the more rational one from my perspective. "Dear" US - when will you end this grotesque shitshow?

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So the USA starts a war, after bombing Iran, and then taxes every ship? How convenient.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How much of the 20% collected fees will go to Trump’s personal finances?

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But tell me, Donnie, why is that section of the world so volatile?

2 weeks ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

"No idea. Every time we see something we don't like, we drop a lot of bombs on it. But for some reason things we don't like keep happening."

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Couldn't have anything to do with the unprovoked bombing of a girls' school in the middle of Ramadan, could it?

Nah! The Iranians must just be jerks!

"20%"? That's quite an exuberant extortion. Who gets this money?

2 weeks ago | Likes 119 Dislikes 0

20% PLUS expenses like missiles and salary for the navy etc.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah I know it's not really the main thing here, but 20% is just a wild fucking number.

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"Look, if yous want your goods to go through this here port, you're gonna has to pay....like twenti percent, or else yous and me are gonna have sum problems. Capeesh?"

Ugh. He’d love that pic. That’s why it’s the same picture they want to use on money, buildings, and statues. His mugshot is apparently the only one his anger doesn’t look feckless.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That doesn't sound like mercenaries, it sounds like pirates.

2 weeks ago | Likes 284 Dislikes 3

Stupid Pirate. Spending $$$-Billions to close the strait, charging $-millions to open it.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just imagine, in another 100 or so years later, Disney is going to come out with a new movie called Pirates of the Hormuz: Curse of the Orange Bastard.

2 weeks ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

IK, call it "Treasure Planet"!

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Piracy only applies to private actors in maritime waters outside the 12-mile limit. It would be piracy if you or I did it and the strait was wider, but it can't technically be piracy because it involves state actors, and the Strait of Hormuz is not wide enough. I wish it was piracy because piracy carries a mandatory life sentence under US Federal law.

2 weeks ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

So if you do pirate stuff inside territorial waters it’s just sparkling robbery?

2 weeks ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yes

2 weeks ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Its not THEIR territorial waters, tho. That said both piracy and privateers require that it be done by private individuals. This is just state sponsored extortion

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

it sounds like bullshit

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Off with Trump's fucking head already!!! - Sincerely Canada

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mercenaries can be pirates.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Other canals and things do charge transit fees but they’re nowhere near that high.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds like extortion, a mob shakedown.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Look, if yous want your goods to go through this here port, you're gonna has to pay....like twenti percent, or else yous and me are gonna have sum problems. Capeesh?"

"Leave the cannoli"

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Privateers - they're licensed by a state to do this.

2 weeks ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 1

Someone has watched The West Wing.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, because that worked SO well for England when they decided to stop supporting their independent naval contractors"(TL;DR Pirates of the Caribbean could have well fit into the same time period where the Privateers decided to go into business for themselves and set themselves up in places like Tortuga and other Caribbean Pirate towns)

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The government would have to issue a letter of marque, wouldn't they?

2 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The government doesn’t need to issue the marque to itself, but the problem is that stop being privateering and just becomes war

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

LOL... Yeah, I guess they would.

Sorry, that I missed that. I'm a little rusty on my privateer legal matters.

2 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

You could say your response... Missed the marque?

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No worries, it's been a couple centuries since we have had to worry about this shit, no?

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0
