Read up on Unit 731 as well. The US snatched up those sick fucks too and paid them for their trouble.

The Hunters tv show with Pacino had this as a central theme. Decent show with bizarre twist at the end.

Funfact: in order to create more nitrogen to better blow us up Germans invented the haber process, preventing widespread famine.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nitrogen was once hard to come by and it was anticipated that we would run out of it for farming. The haber process pulls it from the air.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Erm, sort of. The Haber process makes Ammonia from nitrogen and hydrogen. And it's the ammonia we use for farming, explosives, etc.

And? You want to shoot them in the head or imprison them for being scientists? Everyone had to salute Hitler

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nasa's Nazis.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

They are not.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Nazi Scientists were nazis, right ? You get that this is the point here, right ?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Iiiii dont know where is this from, and im scared

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's from Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Bomb. Arguably one of the greatest and funniest films ever made.

At least somebody else has some taste

Scientific curiosity is bogger than any ideology, so... no worries

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

In Tom Wolf's "The Right Stuff" he describes the space race as our German scientists vs the Russian's German scientists

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

And that was basically the major point of Paperclip, keeping brains out of the USSR.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Our Germans are better zhen their Germans."

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We got to the moon so our Nazis were better than the Soviet’s Nazis ;)

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Was kinda interesting that the Soviets got their nazis to build a rocket, taught their engineers how, then they threw the nazis in the gulag

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Honestly, Paperclip was as much, or more, about denying the Soviets scientists than it was about gaining scientists for ourselves.

NASA is oddly close to nazi….

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

National Socialists and National Space Agency have some letters in common.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

NATO too

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Were they made out of leftover nazis though?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. NATO is Nazi rehab, European division, stashed an awful lot of the Ukrainian SS Nazis in Canada tho.

Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down? That's not my department says Werher von Braun.

"The rocket performed flawlessly, it just landed on the wrong planet"

I remember "My Tank Is Fight!" book. pretty fun stuff in it about nazi inventions that could have happened ^^

And the Chinese government.

Like the widows and cripples of old London town, who owe their large pensions to Wernher von Braun.

"I aim for the stars, but I keep hitting London"

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be Fair, the Bomber pilot that dropped Bombs on Japan had a similar mindset.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Too bad "down" and "Braun" don't rhyme. :/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 16

Who cares where the rockets come... dawn?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

They do. If you pronounce Braun correctly.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They do if you say "Braun" with a German accent. Which, being a German name, you should. It sounds roughly like "brown", which it also means

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Braun rhymes with down if you pronounce the Name in German. Sound's just like Brown, also means the same

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Von Braun just wanted to build rockets. Pre-WW2, the Germans were the only government willing to fund rocket research.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

that certainly excuses the concentration camp slave labor he was using to build his rockets. More died building them than by their use

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

*The Nazi military was using. Doubt he had any say on who got to build his designs.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Soviets also had sizable rocket research before Stalins purges.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like the orphans and cripples in old london town. Who owe their large pensions to Werhner Von Braun

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Well... we still find allied bombs in Cologne and other carpet bombed cities... nearly daily

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In English and German I know how to count down, and I’m learning Chinese says Werhner Von Braun.
