I mean, technically, she (in particular) can have as many of anything as she wants!

You need a trebuchet!!!

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That Make wouldn't be that good, all those points are likely to get struck in things.
Better to do a shaped head, so that It's less likely to get cause or have them break off.

They're both the bestest girls :3

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Um actually...

Morning Stars aren't a Medieval weapon, there are only two known combat Morning stars both produced in the 1600s.

Even flails were most often just sticks with another stick attached with a cord. Examples with spikes are extremely rare and most appear to be bits of sharp metal pounded through the wood rather than designed that way.

Medieval is a state of mind, for instance if one were to announce they were going to go medieval on your ass with one of those, this would not be an appropriate time to quibble about historical accuracy

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Unless you're The Doctor, where going medieval on one's ass may or may not involve the TARDIS.

I worked at an armory museum doing a project with my professor who was also the curator. The museum happened to be closing so they were moving everything to store or display in an exhibit at a nearby museum. All that to say, I got to swing around a 1,200yo sword and wear an actual full knights armor because everything was out of the cases and the curator said "wanna?" It was awesome

German Peasants Wars. 1525 there are documented Morning Stars by contemporary pamphlets. The Problem is the survivor bias. Those were mostly long sticks with Nails in a round Head. Not a full iron weapon. Easy to use and the nail easy to reuse. Same goes for the Warflails. This are Peasants Weapons which are easy and cheap to build and the materials easy to reuse. There are no documents on surviving older morning stars because the metal got reused, but everybody in 1525 what they were.

Spiked clubs (ie. morning stars) have, very likely, been used since inception of weaponry. It's simple to make and quite effective a weapon. I dunno where the fuck you asspulled "NO IT WAS NEVER USED BEFORE 17th CENTURY", or the arrogance to think it's a factual, logical opinion. :'D

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Yeah big stick used as a club works great, big stick that you ripped branches off but still has an inch or two of the smaller branches on it works better. First human probably figured that out hitting their shin and breaking skin. Spears came before clubs with the part of the branch you can't easily break off sticking out? Grow up

I got my wife a Damascus bone handle dagger

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

At my High School graduation ceremony, they gave awards for the students who scored the highest. Girls got flowers, guys got cheques.

It's been decades and I am still sour about it.

I think I would be a bit upset about the unfairness of that & I am a guy. WTF!??!!!

I have one of those hanging on my wall, had to take the spikes off the back area so it didnt leave scratches.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Couldn't put corks on them?

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They just screw in, so its easy to take them out if ya want to

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just smash it into the wall and let the spikes hold it up.

"Fuck! THAT'S AN ANTI-TANK RIFLE!"

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah but she’s a Vampire she can take the recoil

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

She could take the recoil before she became a vampire. Vampirism doesn't add mass. It might make you hard to damage or fast to heal, but no extra mass means if she couldn't handle the recoil before then the rifle would be scooting her across the carpet like a dog dragging its ass after she became a vampire too. She just wouldn't get rug burn after getting turned.

Wait I don't understand, tik Tok takes down a video if you can see a sword, but the jerk offs with guns have theirs stay up?

I always chuckle at things like this. For a few years, I was part of a Living History group - no, not RenFaire or CosPlay - and we had to use historically-accurate weapons, armour and techniques. What she's waving would have been used as a tournament trophy, not a weapon. Real weapons were a lot rougher and made to fight, not look pretty and shiny. :D Ditto with armour. Shiny = Display, not Combat-Ready.

2 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Yeah it's obviously a decorative weapon. From the way she moves it it is clear the head is hollow, it's just not nearly heavy enough.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

And even so, she has to hold it above the grip to keep it balanced.

I gotta find me one of those. I used to do HEMA, that was fun. I still want to, but one of the people there started power-tripping ...

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think you're being a little harsh simply because it's new, it appears to be a perfectly fine sword, good hilt for two handed wielding and a perfectly fine blade - shiny because it's new, but I'd expect perfectly useful (while probably not sharpened). I was looking for a new practical blade recently and I think that'd do me fine.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

She's waving around a Morningstar Mace... so either you're pretty rubbish at identifying weapons, or you're a ragebait bot. Either way, I am sorry to say I don't have 6-8 hours to educate you. Be well...

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

He's talking about a clip shared in another top comment about a guy sending his sick GF a sword to make her feel better.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

-lol- Then perhaps he should have replied to THAT comment, or at least made some reference... because the way it was done just didn't hit the way I imagine he wanted it to. :D

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

medieval weapons shaped like flowers?

it is called a Morning-Star

Not to be confused with a Morning-Glory?
