This really, really, really undersells how difficult it is. The main barrier is highly enriched fissile material. But its tech that has no other real world use case so its not somthing anyone has developed for anything but the purposes of making a bomb. So most nations have zero experiance with it. They're starting from scratch and a lot of the things you'd want to be able to do it are blindingly obvious to anyone watching.

So is Israel. If the definition of a nuclear weapon is one that is ready to use and will work, then leaving out one or two components while in storage means it's not a nuclear weapon. They have used that fiction for decades.

There are some territories that are Japanese, but are controlled by Russians. Russians won't cede control of these territories unless Japan promises they won't let Americans build military bases on them, but they won't make that promise.

But since you're the one convinced that we're "beliefs" and you're "facts", perhaps you can provide some sort of fact that proves the U.S. is somehow deciding this for Japan, instead of the very plausible reason that Russia can't tell Japan what to do with Japanese territory.

Japan's not a US vassal state. The US has no governmental control over them. The US may have some control due to their military and to being (at least at one time) a world power, but that doesn't make them a vassal state. I mean the US is closer to being a vassal state of Israel, due to Israel's control over their govt, than Japan is to being a vassal of the US.
