The support acts deserve to actually be named for doing the right thing despite their own best interests. They were: Irish singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe, Danish band Lukas Graham and Irish folk band Beoga (who are seemingly his actual touring band, not just a support act). Lukas Graham are themselves pretty famous (and absolutely do not fuck around saying what they think). Bu I think Aaron Rowe and Beoga are taking huge personal loss to do the right thing here. I’m gonna go buy some merch.

Rowe cited Irish history specifically in his public statement on his reasoning for dropping off the tour. Sheeran’s dad’s side of the family was Irish - but he doesn’t seem to know much about Ireland or its history. He mentions it in some of his songs but it’s all very superficial.
