I act like a waiter at work when I’m getting the pups food ready for breakfast/dinner complete with a description of their meal and a “very good sir/ma’am” when I place their bowl down in the kennel

Whenever I cook chicken I sing the lyrics of Barenaked ladies "one week" as "Chicken de-China is Chinese chicken, it doesn't taste of China it tastes of chicken"

I replace words that rhyme with 'fart' with 'fart'. Like 'total eclipse of the fart'. We have fun here.

The dog was barking at other dogs outside. My wife said told her to stop and that she wasn't the only dog in the world. I immediately started singing; want you to make me feel like I'm the only dog in the world... Take me for a walk walk.

For bath time, I sing "she's a very stinky girl, smells just like a llama" to the tune of Freaky Girl for my sweet Potato

#2 I sing things like this all the time for my dog. I started doing it because he seemed to enjoy music and it relaxed him. Then one day we were at the vet and I needed him to show his belly. My dog was very anxious and didn't want to move, so I started singing "Roll the collie over" like I do when I need to brush his opposite side. It worked right away! https://imgur.com/tIDqRmW

Every time i made pancakes when my girls were little I would sing "Hot pancakes, check them and see they have a temperature of one hundred and three" to the tune of Foreigners Hot blooded. They were a little disappointed when they heard the original lol

It's a bit ridiculous.

To my dog, georgie: hey, there, georgie girl, there's another georgie deep inside...(no longer singing) oh no! You ate the other georgie! Bad dog.

I have a cat named George and I do the same thing!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My wife and I do "All the little kitties, all the little kitties... put your tails up up up"....

We had a cat that ate flies. Using the song and tune of Hall & Oats, Maneater we’d sing.. ohhh here she comes. She’s a fly eater. Watch out flies she’ll chew you up

My son is autistic so I have to leave the bathroom door open when I'm home alone with him, and if he gets fussy while I'm on the potty I sing (to the tune of Hamilton's 'Room Where It Happened') - Baby come into the room where I'm crappin'...

My family used to have a mazda minivan, we were stopped somewhere once and it was really windy, enough to shake the van a bit, so i started thinking "rock the mazda"

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have so many.

Whenever I hear the word "Duct tape" I sing the Duck Tales theme song. Now it's any two syllable word.

When I need my chapstick I sing "My hips don't lie" (oooh my lips are dry, pass me my chapstick now"

It drives my kids crazy. At one point they thought I was a musical genius writing all these songs. Everything is a song. They are 19 and 20 now and they do it now too.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Omg. Thank you. Shared in the family chat. (I have been doing it for longer than 11 years, they stole my idea!)

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Crossing the road- instead of telling them to stop before crossing, I sang "Hammer Time". Not the word stop though. Just "Hammer Time" my kids knew what it meant but other people thought I was crazy. When it was safe to go I just shouted "Thunderbirds!". They have never seen Thunderbirds. They probably still don't know why Thunderbirds means Go, but they know it does

And this is why you have to question anyone who says "I don't like musicals, so unrealistic people just singing about what they are doing".

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Most mornings when I have to wake my kids up, I make up a complete nonsense song where the lyrics start “IIIIIITTTTTSSS the most annoying wake up song in the WORLD, time to get up, before it gets worse.”

Ha! This reminds me of the "I really don't want to go to work today" sketch. :)

I work in televised news, and you would be surprised how many stories contain the simple phrase "It's been...".

My coworkers know every single time because every time I hear that simple phrase, I become activated like a sleeper agent hearing his code word and I sing the opening refrain from The Bare Naked Ladies song "One Week".

1 year ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 0

I only know the Babylon 5 version of that song

That's what I sing when I hear the song on the radio. Don't even remember what the real lyrics are.

Ditto, that meme made me sing it and then my wife, now all three kids. If there's chicken in the kitchen it's getting sung.
