I wouldn’t think so. That’s a very difficult thing to train. I don’t blink much and people have commented. Think it’s just a natural quirk.

As a frame of reference, humans blink 15-20 times per min. Elwes is onscreen for 40.13 mins. So we should expect roughly 602-803 blinks.
Although some shots will likely be from angles or distances that make counting difficult if not impossible.
I got 23 blinks. It really did seem like he was trying hard not to blink throughout the film.
