Another useless Zionist Politician
https://newrepublic.com/post/210380/john-fetterman-tanks-war-powers-donald-trump-iran
Edit: did not realize how many Zionist were on this site
Also, you'll find posts like this will bring out the bots. Enjoy filling your block list.
GiantSquanchy
I always hate this framing. The republicans tanked the effort to rein Trump in. Fetterman, joined the republicans in tanking the effort to rein Trump in. Framing this as Fetterman single handedly doing this, takes blame away from the ENTIRE republican party that is also at fault.
ButtscratchMcPherson
While I fully agree that Fetterman should go **** himself, it is my understanding that Trump can veto the war powers resolution and congress would then have to override the veto.
JSullenger
Fuck Zionists. Fuck Fetterman.

Wow. WTF.
Geveg
It has the be an interesting place in life to be so hated by such a large group of constituents, but know that if you stay the course on destroying western civilization, you'll be paid enough to live in comfort for the rest of your life. Stroke or not, he knows the problems he's helping to create/worsen will bring their worst consequences after he's gone. He got his, fuck everyone else.
Geveg
I have a loosely developed theory that most republicans found themselves in a place early on in their political careers where someone had dirt on them and/or offered them obscene amounts of money to simply tow the party line, come what may. They faced a choice: either be destroyed in the their public and private life by whoever made the offer, or get rich while fucking over the country and being hated by a large percentage of Americans. They figured they couldn't weather being exposed [1/2]
Geveg
for whatever shameful bullshit they did, so they may as well sell their soul and resign themselves to being a punching bag while knowing they play a key role in destroying democracy. Maybe the money will be worth forfeiting everything it means to be a person, let alone a decent one.
Temzilla
It's weird... Why is there always a democratic spoiler that sides with the republicans? I wonder.

Famous presidential quote:
"Maybe the second amendment people can (do something), I dunno."

Violent uprisings don’t end well. That’s why Ghandi, King, and Aquino relied on people power.
spontaneous9
Hey I'm not the one that suggested it. That was some asshole who went on to become famous for being a complete dick, remember?
RobertAG25772
I was responding to the asshole, not you.

Democrats are never ruthless enough. Even when they have the advantage they hesitate while a lawless Republicans group are more than prepared to manipulate and break the law for any advantage.

This sums it up nicely. And you can see it clearly in the way mainstream dem politicians *always* blame the left flank for their own failures. The "Bernie bros", the "Gaza voters" in Kamala's case, etc.
The left never moves the needle to be worth the attention, so they court moderate republicans. But Simultaneously, somehow, they're also a huge chunk of voters that decide the outcome of major elections.
I hope Americans wake up to see how Dem leadership is complicit in today's grim situation.
EmeRgencyDrD
I fucking wish, but not on this site because 99% of users blame the voters and not the president who just up and quit. They would rather turn on their countrymen instead of blaming the person responsible for the mess we are in today. Its basically sportsball to most, so pick a team
TheMindEntropic
https://imgur.com/XadFgbF Democrats have been seemingly infiltrated by people who aren't looking after the interests of the people.
TheMindEntropic
For anyone wondering: https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_votes/vote1191/vote_119_1_00007.htm That list in the previous comment are the Democrats who voted for this particular piece of legislation back in January 2025.
medimr
Even if Fetterman wasn't a piece of shit, there's always a fall guy. It's the plausible deniability Dems use to kill things without taking responsibility. Organize their votes so that bills fail by one or two, and then pretend there's nothing they could do about it.
ojisama
On the other hand, I am confident that at least some of the democrats have integrity and acually try to improve things. How often you actually get shit like this when the democrats actually have the votes? And you know, if one more rep had voted for this, it would have passed. So you have the republicans voting against Trump and each and every democrat as part of the plot?
Arbitrarynamehere
Guys we just have to vote harder next time for more prepared plants that will still tank votes but it'll be different then because I'll be pretending there's a different grand strategy at play that doesn't include my party being captured by corporate interests
Blue no matter who!!
InTangier
Controlled opposition party! Blue no matter who!
LuminoZero
And yet, people continue to fall for it. Nothing will change until we run both the Nazis and the Blue Dogs out of government.
thedarklord187
John Fetterman should be hung for treason against his country along with 90% of Congress they are all fucking traitors and isreal/Russian assets the CIA and FBI have failed miserably at their jobs. Fucking worthless I hope in the revolted every single one of them are dragged through the street like Mussolini.
Sixsystems
With Kyrsten Sinema gone, someone gots to be the Democrat getting that sweet sweet lobby money from the right wing interests.
beaubrent
He was a plant.
RetrogradeLlama
He is such an a-hole. First we had Munchkin and Sinema blaspheming the party. Now it's this douchewad.
RobertAG25772
Gr8 name 4 POTUS: Douchewad Trump
VictusVonGuyver
There are a couple of others, mostly people retiring who suddenly sold out because they had a backyard deal. Jared Golden for example did this.
abidikgubidik
It almost sounds like there is a quota for turncoats. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but every congress has these people as if they were chosen as sacrificial lambs.
Ptrik
I remember seeing him chat during covid and thinking, "this is a tough, straight talking dude" I liked him, I thought he was good for the country. I feel stupid now. What a PIECE OF SHIT . FUCK YOU, FETTERMAN. I HOPE THE MONEY YOU COLLECT THESE YEARS STICKS IN YOUR THROAT AND ENDS YOU.
spittleteets
Still would have been 50-50 that Vance would tie-break.
If it passes the Senate, it would face a republican majority in the house.
If it passes Congress, it will be vetoed by Trump and will then require both chambers pass it with a ⅔ supermajority.
Vote.gov - Register/check voter status
USA.gov - Find and contact reps on Fed/State/Local levels
truk77
Incorrect. It failed 49-50. Had Fetterman changed his vote, it would have been 50-49.
spittleteets
Whoops! Good catch! Yup, youre 100% correct I didn't realize Ricketts was a no vote. He's on record supporting Trump and his war with Iran. I would have to assume that party leaders would have pressured him to vote if they knew there were enough votes to pass the resolution.
whatsisname
"Single handedly" - of course, ignoring all the republicans that also voted against it.
backrideup9
No one believes those people would ever do the right thing, so we dont waste our time being pissed at them.

I thought we stopped calling this piece of shit a democrat
SquaresUnfiltered
Until he isn't part of the party he is
Bubbells
The party and himself still claim him to be one, but in all fairness all of the important votes lately he has voted with Republicans. Dude scammed all of his constituents
TrashCanEnthusiast
He's a piece of shit, but he didn't "single-handedly" do anything. 49 other pieces of shit voted with him. I'm really fucking tired of the news narrative that only Democrats have any agency or get any flak for their garbage decisions.
PoisonHugs
Can he be kicked out of Democratic Party since he always votes for other side?
NotAllowedToArgueUnlessYouPay
While I find it hard to understand his vote, he didn't "single-handedly tank" anything. Congress is nowhere near having 2/3 vote necessary to override a Presidential veto with or without the Senator's vote.
SnozzBerries6969
That stroke he had did more damage than they thought, killed enough of his brain to turn him into a Republican.
Imademyselfsquirtle
No fuck off with the stroke bullshit. He was always Republican. He played everyone, specially his voters..
DannoWaso
MAGA plant. Fetterman F’s the Dem efforts from within. He’s a fucking bridge troll.
AreYouABadPerson
He was already a piece of shit beforehand, as evident by the whole "grabbing a shotgun and going hunting for a black dude" thing. The stroke just made sure any filters were gone.
johnblood616
No. That is an excuse. Like Sinema he was a plant.
awkungen42
Stroke is a bullshit excuse. This is all part of his initial plan to lie and defraud voters.
ExecutiveProducerWolfDyck
It's a cover, I fucken knew he was gonna vote for republican interests when he was still in the primary.
ccentral
How'd you know? Genuine question. When he ran he seemed pretty progressive and lots of lefties supported him. Then he did a 180 when he took office. Where there signs back when he was lt gov?
ExecutiveProducerWolfDyck
I've just spent too much time around liars. When I see somebody disingenuously getting people on their side I get Dejan vu.

He was bought cheap.
AdmiralButtStuff
By his own admission, the brain damage made him a conservative. This is why our Parties need actual teeth once we unfuck the rest of our election system. If you refuse to do the things you were elected to do, the party you defrauded to get there, should be able to remove you via no-confidence votes and special elections.
RaySkye
Check out the mayor of Dallas. Ran as a dem, elected as a dem, switched to repug as soon as the election was done.
joshuasplinth
Oh my god, yes. And maybe that “everybody takes a cognitive test” isn’t such a bad idea. They’ll say it’s elitist or is discrimis against morons (they’d win in court over it too, lol), but I don’t think someone with a gray-area IQ should be throwing their two-cents in on how we tackle global warming. The film Idiocracy is hyperbole and funny and all - but if you take our system out another 100 years as it is (and we don’t lull ourselves, that’s what we would have.
RobertAG25772
With all the cynicism and polarization and political whiplash, there’d be too many “special elections” if we went parliamentary. That’s what killed the Weimar Republic—too many elections over & over again in to short a time. I LIKE the fact the elections are held at fixed intervals here. We have to wait and threaten to primary him in ‘28.
AdmiralButtStuff
Plenty of other countries have working parliamentary systems. Can it go badly? Sure, but that's true of literally everything. Regular elections should be held at fixed intervals. I'm not talking about upending that entire, reasonable, system. The problem is when someone runs on one thing, gets in office, then does completely different shit.
RobertAG25772
That’s unavoidable in any system
Septcanmat
It shouldn’t be the parties, it should be the constituents. Don’t give even more power to the parties, they’re entrenched enough as it is. You want to increase accountability to the electorate.
AdmiralButtStuff
That's typically how these things are done. Once the representatives make their disdain known, (either through votes, or petitions), a no-confidence vote is held. If that measure passes, the offending representative is removed from office, and a special election is held (by that party) to replace them.
darthnerdus6236
The Democrats would for sure use that power to kneecap actual progressives.
insaaanity
That's how you lose your AOCs, Ilhan Omars & co
AdmiralButtStuff
The New Democrats are dying off, and they know it. They may not like it, but they know theyre losing control of the party to young people. Look how badly they got bit by Mamdani. Every election the message for New Democrats gets louder and louder: your time is over. Get on board with our agenda, or get the fuck out of the way. No Confidence votes dont occur in a vacuum. In a healthy system there will be consequences for trying weaponizing them- say, losing reelection.
insaaanity
Did you not see the context? I'm saying if the party can kick out people they don't like, that's what would happen.
AdmiralButtStuff
I did. Did you not read anything I said? I specifically addressed it.
MiserCrass
Its a fucking shame there isn't a means of getting a turncoat senator out of office before an election. Not ... legal means, anyway.
Strategicgnomer
Legality is an agreed upon creation. If you hold the reigns of power, you choose what is legal.
quade
Sadly, there is not.
halliemeinecke
Legal is an interesting word there.... like there's a whole-ass amendment saying why the civilian population should be armed up, and it's not because of the constant threat of invasion....
OriginalAndWitty
Technically there is(impeachment) but actually no(spineless lawmakers)
RobertAG25772
They may need him to take the Senate (slight but non-trivial chance). And he is with us on a lot of non-foreign policy stuff—like voting rights & the safety net. Count your blessings for the moment. We could have worse right now.
ChiLLeCheeze
Yeah, YOU could have had it worse. That ignores the victims that have been killed or effected by this such as all the little girls killed in Iran the first day of the bombing. Are you white? Cause holy shit that post oozes privilege.
RobertAG25772
Not ignoring it at all. Talking about DOMESTIC policy, I was. Are you ignoring that we have a safety net to defend? Would you rather have Oz?
ChiLLeCheeze
Well... seeing as how I'm an immigrant that's from a country that was bombed by America. Does it really matter which politician is in charge? For you, yes. For me, it's another day that I'm surviving until I die.
Isorikk
They can be expelled, but yeah, we all know that's never going to happen
RobertAG25772
Not until Democrats have a secure grip on the Senate—which will take at least 2 election cycles.
Isorikk
It requires a two thirds majority for expulsion
FrozenMojo
Still mad I voted for that fuck face
RobertAG25772

Vortality
Your choices were shit and glittery shit. You at least tried
boevis
He was fine for almost a year, better than Oz, and better than replacing him mid-election with someone that didn't really campaign
RobertAG25772
Thank God voters didn’t fall for the “Wizard”. But I think we ought to recruit Connor Lamb to take another stab in 2 yr
M4UsedRollout
Lamb is a moderate, and we need a progressive… but any democrat would be better than Fetterman at this point.
RobertAG25772
In retrospect he’s more progressive than Johnny
Zalm
He was fine, a pretty decent choice until he had a stroke and suffered brain damage
FineNevermind
You'd think the affiliated party would be able to kick out disloyal representatives, and if possible, give the seat to a (deputy) party member that is in line with the party.
ZKintzer
I feel like something like that would be abused to expell left flank lawmakers more than spoilers like this ogre
futhor
It's a broad problem throughout American politics. Difficult to impossible to remove elected officials at any level.
alexw04
Very disappoointing that Trmup should get his way with anything from a Democrat.
ZoBrightlance
Fetterman hasn't been a Dem since he got out of the hospital.
SquaresUnfiltered
He is a Democrat and name only but still a Democrat
ZoBrightlance
No, see, that's where you get it wrong, traitors to the due process of government don't get to be part of a party.
And I don't remember a congressional vote to go into Iran, do you?
SquaresUnfiltered
They don't need a Congressional vote so long they keep voting this down because they'll take a day pause and then do another quick operation that's what they're going to keep doing. Mind you you're not wrong I'm not arguing against you. However people like fetterman need to be pulled out of their positions until then he is still holding that position. he is still in a democrat position
ZoBrightlance
You really need to break up your sentences. That hurts to read.
And maybe I wasn't clear. Traitors don't get parties. No matter what party they're from.
Now, go take time, think about that. I'm not arguing, or interested in arguing. I want people to think.
LordBrandonTheBold
Why? What could be the possible reasoning?
backrideup9
Bribes. It's always bribes.
busterfixxitt
I guess blackmail is a kind of bribe, right? 'Do what I tell you in exchange for your continued freedom/career/whatever.'

He got brain damaged from a stroke, which made him incapable of holding a thought for long enough to finish a sentence. In this condition of confusion about the world and what's happening around him, he naturally turned right wing.
defensivebackhair
He was always right of center. It was just a question of who would be more extremist, him or Oz. The stroke didn't help but it really isn't an excuse. These are just his true colors
Uselesstoy
Always? I thought he ran and won as a progressive democrat? I do remember alot of progressive pundits were supporting the shit out of him.... Then revealed he was a quisling just like Kyrsten Sinema...
FlintNorth44
defensivebackhair
He's a Zio. That's it. He is bought and paid for by Israel and his loyalty is to them like the rest of our useless government
Resistance1000
The answer to all of your questions is "money."
ayers231
He's getting paid copious amounts of money, they have dirt on him, or both...
WigglyBlondeNoodle
He's so bent on going against his own party that I wouldn't be surprised if there was no real reason.
mrthewhitee
It's just money and hate. They don't need dirt.
DeanSledgehammer
Actually, from what I've seen, these bastards sell their constituents/country for astonishingly low amounts of money. Usually the bribes are tens or hundreds of thousands, not millions.

🎶”There’s someone in my head, but it’s not me,”🎶
mercyPandaRunner
If Democrats had any courage or fight in them, they could use Fetterman as a precedence and rehearsal for removing elected officials that are not able to do their job due to mental issues or decline.
But they don't have any fight in them, so they will continue watching a brain damaged guy, who can't hold a thought for long enough to finish a sentence, take a dump on any of their plans.
At this point, the Democrats are either silently rooting for Trump or resignated to their fate.
Toqom
Most of the Democrats are also on the Israeli take, which is fucked up since their money comes from the USA
mercyPandaRunner
I meant it more generally, regarding their lack of active resistance against Trump. But you bring a very good perspective that is probably more relevant to this specific issue.
RobertAG25772
More like biding their time, like they did in Bush Jr.’s 2nd term until 3 wave elections produced Obamacare. They need Jon’s votes against safety-net cuts & possible right-wing judges until they elect enough senators to evict him without losing the chance for a national trifecta. National Dems play the long game.
mercyPandaRunner
Keep dreaming.
RobertAG25772
Right now we need him if we want to take the senate this year and stop DJT from stacking the courts any further in the following 2 yrs or passing more Big Ugly Bills. Worry about replacing Fet in ‘28 when he’s up for reelection and we have a shot at the WH.
