For those wondering about Rogue's powers, a few years ago she learned that she was suppressing the control of her powers out of fear and trauma from when they first manifested.
Gambit on the other hand learned he can coat his body is a "static charge" of kinetic energy which prevented her from stealing his powers/life force when she doesn't have control.

In the arc where they got married, Spiral got inside her mind and revealed that she had the ability to control her power all along. She can now turn her powers on and off at will and use them at range without touching.

Think they reworked Rogue's powers a bit. She got a second evolution or something along those lines. Basically she gets more control over her powers, and has to consciously decide to drain folk now. Also, I want to say, she can just sort of "borrow" powers without just leaving the person she's borrowing from a comatose mess. There's some other fuckery going on with her now, but I cannot for the life of me remember it offhand. Something like gifting the power or, IDK. Something more there.

Am i reading correctly that she now permanently has Wonder Man's power? That makes her one of the most powerful beings on the planet. Like slug it out with Thor or Hulk strong. Certainly the most powerful baseline X-Man.
