There are some on both sides that don't seem to get this

I've seen (and experienced first hand) a lot of pro-black people that were definitely anti-white. But I'm not dumb enough to think 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

2/2 the few interactions I've had describe the entire movement. Those people aren't worth your time

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Blm is about focus, not exclusion.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'd love to watch the reaction to a picture of a white guy holding up a sign saying "Pro-White is not Anti-Black."

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

What is the purpose of being pro-white? I understand pro-black since it’s countering society historically deeming them inferior.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Then one can assume the same logic with "Pro-white is not anti-black"

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

However, pro-black does mean anti-white-supremacy. If anti-white-supremacy means anti-white to you, that’s a problem.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm not "pro" any race. Its ridiculous to be pro- anything you can't control. Its like being Pro-Shoe size.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Depends who you ask.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pro-Black?! I didn't know you could go pro with you're race. Im definitely still an amateur white. ?

6 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 3

Self correction; your**

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Well he did say he was amateur.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I did ^.^

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Youll get called up soon

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You gotta buy the DLC, noob!

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

IDK why we do not just change the movement to Anti Police Brutality... not sure anyone disagrees with that chant.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

Because racial profiling is part of it.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Race has nothing to do with a cop that is high on power.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

If you think Black Americans aren’t disproportionately profiled and harassed by law enforcement you’re living in a fantasy world.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Next time you see a college scholarship for just for white people post it back here.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Oh, really? So pro white is not anti black? Just let it sink for a while...

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Then there's this Karen

6 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 15

Yeah, she’s right tho...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It is possible to be both correct and harmful. Think big picture, think repair in the broad sense.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

v

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And pro white isn't anti black.

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 6

When white people are, as a race, not oppressed, what exactly does being pro-white entail?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YEAH!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

So is "Pro-white is not anti-black" correct as well?

6 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 17

NO, that would be impossible. You can not say you are pro-White. If you do, you are a racist.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 12

Yes

6 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 14

Historically speaking, no.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 11

In the context of the US in 2020, not really. There's certainly inequality going on, and it's generally accepted that blacks have a raw

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

deal right now. If someone were to say "pro white", it would be hard to identify specifically what is needed for white lives in america.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Not in the context of how history has played out in practice.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

This is like comparing Black Power and White Power. When one of the groups is distinctly disempowered, the call to action isn't equivalent.

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 14

Even if the call to action isn't equivalent, the people who say either agree on everything but the skin color.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

White people can suffer for other things, like class dynamics. But we don't experience racialization for our whiteness. That context matters

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 11

When white people aren't oppressed in any way, I can't help but question what changes a "pro-white" person might want. I say this as a white

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

man - I see no reason to further empower the white race.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, the western world is increasingly going full Animal Farm and erasing all kinds of indicators that white is a positive thing.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The mere issue that this gets asked? Again, proof positive. If someone says they're proud to be white, that someone would get asked why are

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they so hateful, when it doesn't necessarily imply any kind of hate. How toxic is that, ultimately? In a world where any other ethnicity is

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

allowed and ecouraged to be proud of being that way in a simple, uncomplicated way, one just isn't allowed to. Some recently popular books

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If both sides were on an equal footing this might work, but they're clearly not and "Pro-white" has been coopted by very anti-black groups.

6 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 41

Just like Pro-Black has been co-opted by very anti-white groups. You just don't hear about it in msm.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 10

Oooh, it's a secret? Who's after you?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

After me? No one, I don't belong to either side.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

So, a completely neutral, All Lives Matter kinda guy?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

So it's not that you think it's INHERENTLY bad, you just don't trust that it wouldn't become anti-black?

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 5

Become anti-black? Whiteness as a cultural concept was created to justify racism.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 18

Didn’t know skin color was cultural thing

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

skin color is only the surface layer of whiteness. The nazis didn't consider the Jews to be white

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Yes, like the black panthers.... wait....

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 6

Are you familiar with Cointelpro?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Yes. What about it?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Pro-white usually means this

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 31

No it doesn’t. The world contains more than just the mighty US of A. In Europe pro white means pro Western democratic and free society.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 15

I'm talking about the USA. Not the entire world silly goose.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Well how should I know?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And pro-white isn’t anti-black, see how that works?

6 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 10

It is when it looks like this

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 16

SO don't look like that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Those signs don’t say “Anti-black”. *ducking*

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

Except "pro-white" has a different context.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is pro white anti black? And if so why? Genuine question. I'm sure the answers won't be a total shit show.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

Because for too long, "pro-white" actually meant "pro-white supremacy." "Pro-black" does not hide a similar implication.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 12

It does in South Africa. Why wouldn't it also become that elsewhere, when "whites" become a minority?

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I'm not sure that pro white is in and of itself. But, more often, it's used it a white power context.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Because historically the guys who were the most vocally pro-white killed black people for being black. Kinda poisoned the well.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 7

Are you pleased or disappointed the responses weren't a shit show?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Meh mixed bag.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pro-white usually means this.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 11

But the word pro comes from "pros and cons". So no matter how you spin it, by definiton, it is saying the other is a con, or negative.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

So pro-black is racist?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, but it separates people instead of unites them. Proof is that were talking about it right now.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I felt very united with all my black friends in the 90s.. Now I'm afraid of being canceled if I say the wrong thing in front of one.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and who knows what the "wrong thing" is now adays.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just stop saying and doing things that separate us.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

How about not being anti-asian?!

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Never!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd never be anti-asian. Not too smart. Wayyy too many of them. Pick on someone who can't hit back I say.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree with this. What I can’t get with is the whole “if you ain’t with us, you’re against us” rhetoric. That shit goes both ways fam

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

If you don't think Black Lives Matter...yeah...you're against them.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 12

Huh??? On the contrary, mother fucker. Black lives DO matter. But just because I’m not out screaming 24/7 doesn’t mean I’m against them.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Then why are you screaming now?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 10

One can agree with an ideology without aligning oneself with a group. Back in 2017 BLM labeled white people as ‘recessive genetic defects’

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I agree that the police need reform and that black lives do matter but I won’t align with a group that has a hateful history and that isn’t

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Clear about where their donations go

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I didn't say "agree with Black Lives Matter"...I said "agree that Black Lives Matter".

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

I think this would have been avoided if you said "black lives matter" instead of "Black Lives Matter"

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or, if someone bothered to read before getting their panties in a bunch.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With the capitalization it was a little ambiguous. I did say below that “black lives do matter” but I just don’t like BLMs history of hate

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Uh huh

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

It’d be nice if people could start thinking about skin color the same way they think about hair color. Be proud of what you have, and know

6 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 5

What about hair styles? I got a sick mullet.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Color has no bearing on a persons character.

6 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 2

Yeah, but you're often labeled a racist today, if you think color shouldn't matter.

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 6

Yea there's a reason for that.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

What's the reason?

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Considering "color shouldn't matter" is what MLK Jr. was advocating for with his Dream speech, this has very unfortunate implications.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

"If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules and be judged by the same standards, that would have gotten

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

you labeled a radical 50 years ago, a liberal 25 years ago and a racist today." -T. Sowell.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

You don't have to make these kinds of distinctions when you're just pro-individuals.

6 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 10

Or anti-everyone

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget, white silence is violence. You HAVE to make the distinction, or you're racist. Or that's the BLM view, anyway.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

You shouldn't have to, 100%. Sadly, these if you don't point it out people who want to hate start grabbing their pitch forks.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

That's critical race theory for you. I don't buy into it and I feel sorry for anyone that does.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Where's really confusing is we have a bunch of white people campaigning for their own slavery.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

Wat?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

According to CRT, it's the only way they can prove that they aren't racist. A conundrum, yah?

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

What slavery are you talking about?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Reminder that, despite recent hype: being white is not anti-black.

6 years ago | Likes 996 Dislikes 83

Apparently you’ve never been to a paint store

6 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 2

There are a lot more than 50 shades of gray.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

something something FALSE EQUIVALENCY!!!11oneone

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 20

No one thinks that. You are just pandering to people who feel vilified when racism is discussed, which was already irrational behavior.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Being white in some places is anti-black, like when you go to a Klan rally

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

What about all the issues with white people taking minority voice acting jobs? There are some cases where people feel that being white is

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 21

Who cares? Voice work is one acting job where your skin doesn't matter. At all. Only the work you do.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

A lot of people seem to care. Also I should have emphasized that I think it’s totally silly. Just bringing it up as an example

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If all folks could only do roles based on their racial/social profile, it wouldn't be acting anymore.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I completely agree. I should have wrote /s

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There’s lots of downvotes to this, makes me wonder who is making up the Imgur community

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I downvoted because it was a useless sentiment. No one is saying this. It's pandering to a white audience that feels vilified by sentiments

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

like "Racism exists in the US" despite the fact that there is no reason to feel vilified by that sentiment.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The outraged gonna be outraged. Saying “not all honkies are evil” is worth (at the moment) 77 downvotes. ??‍♂️

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Ill argue that it is, white seems only meaningful to say you’re not colored. Otherwise you could just be American, Scottish etc.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 29

There’s a difference between happening to be white vs talking about being white as though it is a unifying social group

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ya you get me. Though 130 cha is not the way to have this discussion. The point is whiteness is as real as Santa- it has the pow we giv it

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Isn't the arg that white has given itself great powr through colonialism and the institutions it built

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ye, and that when whiteness was defined in the 16/700s it was def. as “not black or red”- it’s a subtractive and superiorizing identity

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Although, I'm not sure that applies in, say, modern China, other large POC countries, or native white countries

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I think with the number of white people at the protests that has become well known.

6 years ago | Likes 208 Dislikes 14

The people being assaulted and blamed for nearly everything wrong with black people would disagree.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah... everywhere. I live in an EU country, we had many BLM protests - and about 0.4% of our population is black.

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

We have zero blacks killed by cop brutality the last decades. 1 heart attack and 1 suicide by cop. Still the Dutch BLM cries wolf.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

in terms of sheer numbers, there are actually more whites supportive of BLM than blacks. proportionately to population, however, it's not 1/

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

the majority. either way- that should be kept in mind at least when sending the condescending messages to "all whites"

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm in Ireland and it's very strange seeing BLM protests with around two black people at the protests.

6 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

and yet how often do i hear of the sentiment that we must "abolish whiteness" which, yes, is not the same as "being white" yet 1/

6 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 15

concurrently one who is white is not able to ever stop being a part of "whiteness." this isn't going to work

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 9

The semantics are unfortunate, yet the point is that part of "white culture" in USA is indifference/suspicion of POC and issues they face.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 34

Yes. Please upvote this.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 10

while at the same time there's the insistence that whites have no culture to begin with

6 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

At least that's my experience being raised white as a 80's-90's kid. "Color-blind" and all but also blame POC for all issues they face.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

For example, the (mostly) unspoken idea that people in the ghetto or jail deserve to be there, because systematic racism was unthinkable.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

well, i personally never ended up with the "the poor deserve it" idea, but i was taught not to regard race as anything worth judging 1/

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Nobody is saying that...

6 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 132

I’ve marched in protests and can tell you firsthand that some people ARE in fact saying that... not the logical ones, the extremists.

6 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

Plenty of people are saying that.

6 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 3

"white silence is violence"

6 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 8

That's not a condemnation of being white. That's a condemnation of white people who view racism as "not my problem"

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 28

That’s not anti-white. it’s anti-(white people not actively trying to dismantle racism) which you are probably also against

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 24

and don't forget the other one, "this is not time for you to speak, it's time for you to listen to black voices"

6 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 7

Do you really disagree with the idea that conversations about racism should center those who suffer from it?

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 35

I believe a thought is equally valid no matter the color of the skin surrounding the brain that conjured it.

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

Can you see how telling people to know their place, racially speaking, might be taken as "Oh, so YOU'RE a racist"?

6 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 3

People who need this saying to rationalize false exchange, being white and slightly uncomfortable is not what black people had to go through

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

As per normal, it’s a mix. There’s anti-white blacks and anti-black whites. I think most people just want to live their lives.

I heard it put a good way. “It’s not blacks against whites. It’s everyone against racists. “

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Racist is a term that gets thrown around a lot these days when someone disagrees with someone else. It’s pervasive in the media and politics

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Very overused. I have faith that the vast majority of people are good. It isn’t always racist that someone else succeeds and you didn’t.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Maybe that person lives in that house or has that job because they worked really hard? Studied really hard? Earned it more than me or you?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Oh I definitely don’t think the vast majority of people are good. I think people are inherently self serving and have to overcome that to be

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This makes sense to me

I think we can all agree, that crazed liberals are anti-white whites.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 36

Damn white okay-ists. How dare they?

6 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 7

The issue is phrase got co-opted by white supremacists. So innocent at first, not so much now.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 14

White supremacists also use the same alphabet as me. If we let anything that a nazi uses be only theirs we won’t have anything left.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

I am just explaining why people have a problem with it. How you chose to react is up to you.

When I was a Pagan I worshipped the Asatru pantheon because my genetic lineage is from there. When nazis started using my religious symbols

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

The fact that they even reacted to "it's ok to be white" is ridiculous. "Ok" would be the normal response.

6 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 11

It's not that it's not ok to be white; the question is why you feel the need to say it. The reason usually is either racism or trolling.

I don't think people understand how easy it is to make them look like dipshit tryhards. All you have to do is not take the obvious bait.

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 11

It doesn't help that 4chan keeps "pranking" people about racist shit, while also hosting & supporting racist shit. They're too Schrödingery.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 12

It'd be one thing if eg Kpop Tiktok did this & everyone took it seriously. 4chan? They're almost always half-joking, but that cuts both ways

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Remember the old adage, "Don't feed the trolls"? That was before they established their symbiotic feedback loop with the crybullies.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

So “white pride” is ok too? Asking for a friend.

6 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 14

You feeling left out?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

I'm proud of white western people for ending slavery. Something no other culture that I'm aware of was able to do.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

If you're white, you get the luxury of knowing where--irish, french, italian, etc. "Irish pride" is fine. "White pride" is not.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm a white mutt (mixed with some African) Why can't I be proud of white, western civilizations accomplishments as a whole. After all, we

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

ended one of the most heinous acts humans have perpetrated against each other since the dawn of time.. Slavery. That is very impressive.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

yes, it's ok. If people can shout "black pride" then you can shout "white pride"

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

Yeah. Right. Good luck luck with that.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

the kind of people who shout the words "white pride" are racist and you know that.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 18

It reminds me of Christianity how ostensibly being white is akin to being born a sinner and there's nothing you can do about it.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

You can ask for forgiveness

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These friends?

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 26

Why does *anybody* have to be proud of the skin color they were born with? Be proud of your actual accomplishments, not accidents of birth.

6 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 7

Because identity politics has refined a humans worth down to the variables they can't control.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

i.e. racism , sexism, etc

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is because in previous generations, there was shame to have a certain skin color. So the empowerment movement for it shifted to pride.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a kid growing up in a 95% town, I was ashamed to not be white. I was treated bad, beat up, had food thrown at me, etc. Took a long time.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If free will is an illusion, and a strong case can be made that it is, then it's just as senseless to be proud of your accomplishments.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

A strong case? I'd like to see you make the case in court that you shouldn't be held responsible for your actions because free will is an il

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The existence of free will is a fundamental premise in all legal systems I am aware of, so I'd fail in making that case in actual court.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think which group holds power is an important factor. Equal protection for minority groups and all that.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 18

Is there *a* group that holds power? Or is it just a natural consequence of being the majority population.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

It's a natural result in most cases. But there have been exceptions. Sparta, for example.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

All this pro-white vs pro-black stuff ignores the real separation, the wealthy vs common man and the we are being pitted against eachother.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Not really. It's a natural consequence of being the first group to attain the power, not being the majority population.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Very true. Also true: Anti BLM is not anti black life.

6 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 12

"Anti Black Lives Matter" is not "Anti Black Life" ...? Um...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

He meant the organization BLM.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why are people anti BLM if they want blacks to be okay though?

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

BLM was created by Marxists. Most people agree with the sentiment and follow it without knowing the true goal of the movement.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

BLM in Toronto is one such example. Some communications and actions that could be considered racists.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

BLM isn't doing African American's any favors. They reinforce the violent/criminal black stereotypes and it's leaders are open Marxists

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 5

Yes they marxist agenda is pretty alarming. But i think for many blacks in america they dont realize some of the damage done by the movement

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

They rally behind the black empowerment aspects of the movement which are still very important and relevant to the country

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's understandable. I'm curious where most black people stand on all the intersectionality jargon

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And do nothing to address the high rates of interracial violence, the number 1 cause of death among young black men

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

But this "fight" isn't about that, though. Can't we tackle a few issues at a time?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Racist

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 47

The reason language can be unsymmetrical is cultural context. Take "Black Power!"

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

During the coining of the phrase, terrorist and gov. both systemically and openly oppressed black and those who objected to the oppression.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The phrase was meant as a call to action to make further violence untenable to both the terrorist and the general public.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"White Power!" has been used by those who openly endorsed the oppression of black people and political opponents, often through terrorism.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thus "Black Power!" is viewed as a call to systemic reforms to society, while "WhitePower!" is viewed as a call to terrorize your neighbors.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn, I was just about to make that pithy comment but you beat me to it.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Given that whites are not oppressed in the US, then in the US, it is at best unnecessary (Don't be racist against whites!) or at worst

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

racist (Whites are better than other races!). If you are asking for other places where whites are actually an oppressed minorities, then

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The difference is that white people generally have an idea of what specific heritage they're from and can celebrate that.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 11

White has no centralized culture. Irish or Polish pride, fine. But if you're black in Western culture it's basically "I dunno, Africa?"

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Sounds like you just said the same thing twice. Because you did.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Africa isn't a country.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Most American are a mixture of German/Irish and who know what. It's getting harder to trace roots back. I doubt many have much connection.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Who cares what your roots are beyond your living relatives. Define yourself based on who you want to be.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No that is necessarily a bad thing. I find being a mutt rather liberating. I'm American, not anything else. But identify is a tricky thing.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

hahaha, nope. Most white people I know are mutts, fine with it and just happy to be Americans. We're so fucking mixed it doesn't matter. <

6 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

oh hey :) mutt here. I've moved so many times I don't even have a state. lots of respect & love for those who feel lost and unrooted in US.

>they pick their heritage by state in the U.S. more than real deep roots. Say for example a dumbass that says 'go back where you came from'<

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

>would obviously been thinking their roots are american or born in that state and not knowing much about their real family roots.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You need to ask why someone would need to be pro-white. Are white people overwhelmingly victimzed or lacking representation somehow?

6 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 96

So does a group have to be overwhelmingly victimized or lack rep before they can be pro themselves?

6 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 7

Im pro me as a person but the colour of my skin isnt a contributimg factor in that. If i were being persecuted because of it...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In most social circles being white means you cant have an opinion on race. Personally I went to a school where white kids were the minority.

6 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

In group preference is a natural biological thing.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So what, an I not allowed to be proud of my skin color?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not likely in the USA. But they are a minority in some places, and it's very common that minorities are targeted by racists

I wouldn’t say “usually.” That hag is a loud, far right disgrace. She doesn’t represent all or even most white people. We’re not all bad.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Unfortunately, she represents 20-40% of the US population.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

Right, an admittedly loud and obnoxious minority. Regardless, using the word “usually” wouldn’t be very accurate. Thanks for agreeing.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

That is a strawman, no one is saying all white people are bad. And the vast majority of pro-white people are racist.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 14

Historically, "Pro-White" is anti-everything else. They want to keep neighborhoods white. They want to keep families white. Being white has

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 38

never been a negative thing for the most part. They want to uphold traditions and stop progress. That's what being "pro-white" is about

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 20

And being pro-black is the same thing but minus the "tradition"? Do you want equal rights or black tradition?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

No, it isn't. And you won't understand why it isn't because you probably don't believe that systematic racism exists and a problem.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

Living in a black community the only "systemic racism" is that the old money fucking left and built new fancier communities, that's it.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Fuck tradition

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Oh good it's definitely real. But I mean you agree that the problem right now in the nation is with people of color, right?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If someone feels that they need to say "I'm pro-white" in already existing racist system, they are probably racist.

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 65

It’s always just a wild coincidence that whoever says stuff like is also a little racist

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 8

I've only met white people saying that they are pro-white. And they all were quite racist. Maybe there are exceptions I didn't meet so far?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 10

Do you *really* need to ask, at this point?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yes, and the fact that you can't just answer is why I need to ask...

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Could you say that Pro-White isn’t Anyi-Black?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is how I take it. Pride is one thing, b/c it's pride AGAINST ADVERSITY, not just for skin color, sexual orientation or w/e. But being

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"pro" something has a different ring to it. I couldn't say "I'm Pro-White" b/c it sounds like I'm promoting -being white.- The phrasing is

not great.

1/? I had to get off Instagram for that reason. I'm pro BLM but that doesn't mean I should have to feel ashamed of myself for being half

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

White. Or told that I'm upholding a racist system or "privileged". Like dude I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and I work 80 hours a week.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm over here trying to take care of my wife and be a decent human being. I promise I'm not bothering or taking advantage of anyone.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have a bit more sympathy for the side that has been and still is the victim of systemic abuse and oppression though.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 9

Yes but it’s important that acknowledge both sides are not equal. Most pro-BLM get that. Whereas most ant-BLM do not.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 15

Then add it to the message! Tell people, inform!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

To many actually. ?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't like the phrasing, myself. If you reverse the colors... Well. I get black/gay/etc pride b/c it has an unspoken "against adversity,"

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but just being "pro" something is not good phrasing imo.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

“You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people on both sides...”

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"We got tests that people doesn't know what's going on" another random gem from the T-bag, enjoy

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So we only have two sides now? Two races? Lol

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Leave CNN and FOX out of this!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are many!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And pro white. Isn’t anti-white

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sort of like wearing a mask isnt a fringe on your rights

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

people complain about movies not having enough different races represented in them, but the movies are period pieces or in a certain country

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yep, Terry Crews is saying this right now and is getting alot of backlash for it. He is wording it as BLM cant become BlackLivesBetter

6 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 3

Black supremecists are a much bikkger problem than their white counterpats purely because nobody is calling them out on it.

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 12

damn right!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

How many people have black supremacists killed in the US? How many are in law enforcement?

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Probably a lot more than you think, cause iirc most black deaths occur at the hands of other blacks. No info on how many were "race traitors"

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

That sounds insane. You sound insane.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Elaborate pls. Who are these black supremacists? Is it just some ignorant people or are they getting ppl killed like white supremacy has?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Nobody seems to care about hate groups unless they’re white.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

That weird cause I'm not seeing the domestic terrorism and violence form "Black supremacists"

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

Sad there shouldnt even be sides

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

There is equal racism on both sides. People need to quit teaching it to their children. Chris Rock does a very racist routine about it.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Of course there is racism on both sides but how can you pretend it’s equal?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How can you not?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because racism is racism...people should be judged by their actions. Saying one is worse than the other doesn't accomplish anything.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The actions of racist people can be vastly different though and every group isn’t affected by it the same.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone murdering people because they’re racist is not equal to saying something offensive just because you’re ignorant about something.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree, but lumping people into a group in the first place is the problem. We are all individuals with our own principals.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right. And as long as that's the case, history will continue repeating.

6 years ago | Likes 283 Dislikes 9

We're not repeating history. Just the parts that sucked.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can't believe someone pulled a "both sides" and no one brought up trump

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 20

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

This is small dick jesus energy

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Pro white is not anti black

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 6

true right now we need to just focusing on a level playing field for everyone. Why focus on colour, our true rivallry is boys vs girls

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Doesn't have to be, but usually seems to be, considering the folk who say they're pro white.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Because people get eviscerated and associated with KKK if they are so theyre simply silent about it

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Some of the ppl saying “All lives matter” want to bring attention to the abuses of their own race, but are getting called anti-black for it

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 27

If your house is on fire and you ask for help, but I pipe up and say all houses matter so I should also get help, is that a good look?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Thats cause Black Lives Matter is not saying any other lives dont matter. Its not BLM MORE, its just BLM. It should be an easy thing to say

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 9

Because the only time anyone says "all lives matter" is to shut down people who say "black lives matter".

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Because the "All lives matter" movement is basically telling black people that their plight doesn't matter and they should fuck off.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 15

Bullshit.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 28

I gave it as much thought as it warranted.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Overreaction has silenced others again. What can native Americans, Asians, aboriginals say to bring attention to their plight?

6 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 8

You know what they don’t say? “All Lives Matter,” which is specifically a reaction to Black Lives Matter.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 9

They can say nothing at all, to be ignored as before. The shaming of what an equal & inclusive statement, should make us think harder.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Saw a group of black guys yelling at an interracial couple over a megaphone yesterday. They didnt like a white man with a black girl.

I agree but considering the context of replying to a comment about people on both sides not getting it I don't think the comment does that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fair

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

could have been black hebrew wack jobs. there were some in Houston preaching on the street that i was a nephilim for being white. weirdos

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

are found everywhere

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it's fine for a black guy to be with a white girl

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is also common in minority males. They always feel ‘missing out’ when it comes to dating.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah, and I saw a group of white dudes rolling around in golf carts shouting "white power" yesterday, too. Neither you or I were at a

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

protest yesterday. The difference is that when I was, I was feet away from the spot where a cop killed an innocent black man, and you were

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

on your phone.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

How you know so much about me fren?

6 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

They like blonds though....

6 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 5

pretty common - women that date outside their race are often seen as less reputable and men dating outside of their race as the invader

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

That's how I like it. I prefer to mix in a little misogyny with my cup of racism in the morning.

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Yep, tag team for the win (or in this case terrible loss)

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Folgers racism? Or do you like artisanal locally grown racism?

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Then maybe they need to take a closer look at how they’ve been treating black women, because oh boy, is there some serious >

6 years ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 10

Buffalo Soldiers were awarded Medals of Honor for the genocide of natives before, during, & after the Indian Wars & the Indian Removal Act.

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 15

Then they should be treated the same as all the white people who participated in the genocide and displacement of indigenous people, right?

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Which brings us right back to, uhhh, here. Where we started when you made that unnecessary comment to try to detract from the what's going-

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Shhh! We’re not supposed to talk about that!

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

>”misogynoir” making the rounds there! And attacking black women for dating outside their race is part of it.

6 years ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 6

Thing is, they're not even dating outside their race. There's only one human race left. One. Racism exists, Race doesn't.

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

This is the true true.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's all right to be white.

6 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 9

Stoopid Flanders.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

*alt

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

Why do you feel the need to say that though. No one's saying it isn't. People are saying they don't want to be killed for not being white.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 17

Some people are indeed saying that it isn't.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just realising this is probably just some joke/reference i'm missing isn't it.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

It’s a white supremacist slogan

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

So why is that here with 19 upvotes then.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Just as long as you feel very guilty if you are white and renounce your whiteness.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 15

jesus christ you dont have to do that either. just recognize that things were easier for you because of decisions of past generations.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 11

All lives matter.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

you're missing the point. why dont you do a little research on the subject before you just start saying things.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Oh fuck off you twat

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Everything is easier for everyone alive today because of what transpired throughout history.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

yeah, like when soldiers returned from WW2 and were given discounts on home loans, unless you were black. then you get nothing.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is called a non sequitur.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

remember while white people were building equity, black people were still fighting for equality.
