My nightmare is driving at night on the dark highway and one of these walking onto the road. Dark brown blending with black. Fun.

You sure the little Canadian wants to be felt?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Majestic!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just get out and shoo it away, it will listen

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Northern Exposure, theme song needed

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I've seen them in the northwest. Montana is a good place for them to be around, but I don't think there's enough city for a scene like this.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A friend of mine's car hit a moose at 100 km/h but he was unhurt because he was in full hockey pads. Most Canadian thing I'd ever heard.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My aunt had a moose stuck in her pool in Haliburton, Ontario years ago.

NICE RACK !

Isnt this Eagle River in Alaska?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Most of us Canadians would do our best to avoid that beast...Moose are huge.

I mean, it's sort of implied that it was Canada by... you know.. the title.

Uh. I would think it would be obvious by the title that OP is not Canadian but is implying this is Canada by their reaction to a simulated

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/ experience of an imgur stereotype of Canadian life. OP is mistaken and the title is stupid, but it absolutely implies Canada, even if hes

I was once an hour late to work because a moose wouldn’t get out of my driveway. Alaska is a fun place.

6 years ago | Likes 123 Dislikes 0

My friends have a mom that likes to use their yard as a babysitting pen. They've had a few encounters like this

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Been there...literally...

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Like....his driveway? Spicy

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like, this highway...that spot

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm not moving. I'm THE Moose.

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

So what can you do to make it move? Toss a bag of carrots 50 feet from your car?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a Canadian I have been ate to work 2 times because of a moose. They are right dicks, gave no shits about my time.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ditto in Maine. I've had to stop on the main highway 95 for a lazy big bull. Fun to look at until they decide you are to close, then GTFO!

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I've never seen a moose. What happens if you try to shoo them away? Would it charge you?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very possibly, but mostly they just ignore you and won’t move at all.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really depends. Maybe? Its entirely up to the moose. You have no say in the matter.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They weigh over 1k lbs, have antlers wider than your arm span and are ~7 ft at the shoulder. They give no fucks.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How did your boss take it I wonder?

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

They didn’t care because it’d happened to them too lol

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Moose remember that kind of shit, and they NEVER forgive it.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seriously. Such hateful creatures.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, moose beats car every time.

6 years ago | Likes 178 Dislikes 0

Can confirm

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unless it's a saab. Then both lose.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I learned early on why a lot of people have Saabs in Maine. Most sedans I have seen get totally destroyed by them when they hit.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

MA!!! there's a fuckin moose !!!!..MA!!! call the ASPCA

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Maine a lot of people buy Saabs because they are designed to be the safest. Moose go up and over the top of the roof if hit by a Saab.

6 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

old "landbarge" Mercedes work too, dad survived his one and only moose accident because the bonnet was longer than the Mose was tall

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My gram had an 89 Chevy Caprice, that sucker took a good hit. They just had to replace the hood and windshield. Big ol steel boat :)

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Saabs from the moose country

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Do the moose usually die?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Depends on speed etc. Problem is vehicles tend to hit them at leg height throwing their massive bodies into the windshield/roof area.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends how hard they are hit. The accident may not kill them but outright but injuries leave them vulnerable enough they don't last long.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This. And that's assuming they don't end up as part of the car after the collision, which also happens

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

One moment you're driving, minding your own business, the next moment you're passenger is a moose and the front of the car is gone.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep, whichever is biggest wins with moose usually. My family has had one vehicle win that challenge:

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

saw one a little while ago with the corner bent enough to take out the lights. moose go splat

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only because of the bar on the front.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Absolutely. Hit at 70kph. Without the bull bar would have been a write off. With it? Had to go to the wash bay.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hit a deer doing 60mph trying to avoid it because no push bar. Took out bumper and made my truck want to turn right.
