I need to see one of these cams on a Peregrine Falcon (fastest flight speed among birds in the world) going balls out at 200+ Mph during a dive. If it could also be diving to harass small children, terrifying them to tears, this would be ideal and hilarious, but I understand thats a big ask.
Right, the entire mission depended on the BBEG being distracted and counting on the fact that his shiny toy is WAY too shiny and tempting for anyone to actually try to destroy it. He could have stopped them if he had known the plan, and giant birds heading for the volcano aren't subtle. No one with sense touched the ring because no one could resist its power long enough to destroy it, so there was no reason to keep the volcano heavily defended.
