Looks like the kind of guy who does not take BS from fools. Probably this is also the reason for his termination.

"If you don't support our Commander in chief at his most stupid decision you won't support him at his most evil decision. You will have to go. We need unquestioning loyalty. Why can't you be more like Hitler's Generals?"

Experienced leadership is purged because the ego of a doddering old fool and a adolescent drunk want to platy war like it i a game.

“I’m simply not going to authorise any plans that cause civilian casualties and. put American soldiers in needless danger, Mr Hegseth.”
“Understandable. Are there any staff under you who would, though? I’m only asking hypothetically of course but if we DID want someone who would obey my orders even if it gets our people killed, who would we promote? Not that we ever would.”

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably cuz Pete wants to start a land war and General said no

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If I may. Could this be because he is planing to stay in the White House at the end of his term and he is purging anyone who wouldn't allow it? They are going to need a compliant armed forces to help them seize power.

Hand him a bottle and show him the door.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't have to ask why, it's pretty obvious.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every person removed from their positions/careers MUST SUE!!!!!

“I just refuse to believe the Germans didn’t see what was happening” or something something

*handwringing intensifies*

The whole thing happening in slow motion while nothing is done. The cheetoh could announce he wound drop a nuclear bomb in america and the handwringing would just intensify.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Trump could nuke an american city and the Republicans would say there were too many democrats in that city, so it was justified.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just had this conversation. The Old Guard fought with rules and honor Whiskey Pete and Raping Don consider "woke". Hegseth's new henchmen won't bat an eye at war criminality.

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Rumsfeld and Cheney's henchmen didn't either. Be ready for Abu Ghraib 2.0.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The most I'd give the US military is "at least they themselves aren't actively performing a genocide", rules and honour ain't exactly descriptive of the reality of the US at war

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah and never have been. Individuals can commit honorable, wonderful acts, even in wartime. The war machine does not and never has.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Incompetant, Alcoholic Nazi fires three highly qualified Generals because they swear alliegance to America instead of a multiple crime scumbag rapist."

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Any Americans who aren’t already AT LEAST alarmed are beyond fucking stupid.
Anyone who isn’t in their final phases of preparation is already too late.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So when we’re all like “yeah… the military would refuse an unlawful order. They’d organize and prevent Trump from doing the REALLY bad shit.”

… it would start with these guys/gals, right?

All of these firings are the senior folk who’d truly put their country first over their leader.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We're all asking why. But honestly that's not as important as "when is it going to stop"?

4 months ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 1

It stops when the orange pile of shit kicks the bucket and the US holds a trial in Nuremberg style to lock up all his criminal fucks. And then you have to go after people like Peter Thiel who are directly responsible for this mess. Then you have to get rid of Israels influence on your government. If one of these steps is skipped, you will be in a similar spot in a few years.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

when people have finally had enough, realize everything has been taken from them, there's no safety left, and just go fucking ham on the trump administration. they're going to kill everyone anyway.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I mean... I'm not asking why. It's because of some imagined slight, because the general was standing for some positive ideal that defied the regime, or because they want to purge top positions and replace them with pro-fascist toadies. Any combination of those three things is ALWAYS the answer.

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Pro-fascist Christian Nationalists. Kegsbreath wants another Crusades and whatever holy war Armageddon bullshit they’re peddling now, all while Israel nods in agreement because they’re a critical part of Rapture theology.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The only way fascists are ever stopped with fire and the sword, and this time, we won't hand wave their crimes away but decorate every tree along the Potomac River with their corpses.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He probably advocated for the continued teaching of the Law of Land Warfare to Army recruits and annually to soldiers as has been done for the past 150+ years (before that it was called the 'Lieber Code'

Check it out, it is fascinating: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lieber_Code

Yes but that goes against the new take no prisoner and finish the job doctrine. Omnicidal Hegseth could never rise to a rank of any stars. :/

4 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Look, we covered what not to do in both my deployments (Afghanistan and Iraq) and shooting surrendered people was definitely on the Geneva no no list.

4 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I was an active duty 11B, we got the refresher course every six months and as OPFOR we trained BlueFor (the perfect example of evil in the modern world) by putting them in imposible scenarios to force them to commit war crimes (my fave was handing over a prisoner and demanding they execute him.... claim he raped someone or killed a child and if they didn't summarily execute them, we wouldn't let them thru our vllage... and as they stalled, we started sniping at them from a hospital...)

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

... We actually got a Battalion commander and his XO relieved of duty for shooting the dude... we were actually jaw dropped watching them do it.... they threw that kid up against a wall and set up a firing party.... weird shit.

The O/C stopped it right after the CO gave the final order to shoot... I have never seen so much brass show up, out of nowhere, so fast.

BTW, for every one of these plays there is an out... all they had to do is arrest the kid and turn him over to the UN for protection

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I was surprised at how much of the in country briefings was mostly what not to touch, where to step, what critters to avoid, no scorpion fights, yardda yardda, oh and no intentional war crimes! Accidents do happen, however.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, we know why. Because he objected to Hegseth blocking promotions of women and non-whites.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hegseth is just a jealous little whiny has-been and is taking it out on our military. Somebody put him in uniform and send him to the front. Maybe he’d make a good sandbag. He’s certainly not a good Defense Secretary.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would be alarmed about this but the part of me that gets alarmed shorted out a couple years ago because it's not supposed to be alarmed about everything all the time.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pete looks at the news about two recently downed fighters and a missing pilot after Trump said we destroyed all of Iran's anti aircraft capabilities.

General: Told you not to go over there.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably said this to Kegseth:

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hitler also believed that *he* was smarter than all the generals of the German Army. It did **not** work out well for him...

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The US military needs to purge itself from the world. It will be a much better and safer place without such an evil organization in it.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, he may know how to command an army, and he may know military strategy and all those things you'd think would be important, but he was fired for something more importanter: he refused to not promote two black women and we all know DEI is the real issue here. I mean, how are we, as decent humans, supposed to tolerate such things like Diversity, or Equity, or Inclusiveness.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What could ever go wrong about purging the military during or right before a major conflict, not like there are thousands of russians deep underground in Finland cuz of a similar thing or anything.

4 months ago | Likes 137 Dislikes 0

The point is harm the usa, he is succeeding as a russian asset at dismanteling the country.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A TV Host fired a Military General today.

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's what happens when you insist that Iran would cut off the straits of Hormuz, coz everyone knew Iran would do that.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Odds are he was one of the few who were not properly enthusiastic about this war and it's chances of achieving any positive result.

4 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I guess the general said that boots on the ground in Iran would be an absolute disaster, but Hegseth was adamant, that Steiner's landing would make everything alright, and, well... you know the rest from the meme...

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I mean, firing Generals for incompetence is as American as apple pie... this ain't that tho... this is just a purge of people who might uphold the law of land warfare.

4 months ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

From what I've been seeing reported, it wasn't even that nefarious. Hegseth is apparently super paranoid about getting shitcanned by Trump and is taking out people who'd stand to be the most likely candidates to replace him. What makes it even worse is that Trump would just put any random jackass he happened to think of into the role anyway, so it's not like Hegseth is even doing anything that would help himself.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Army Chief of Staff is not a candidate for his job... Federal law prohibits military people from behind made SecDef

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even if that is the case, do we really expect either Trump or Hegseth to know/care about that or factor it into their behavior?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That General has forgotten more than peckerhead knows.

4 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

And that peckerhead probably won't be Secretary of "WAR" for much longer. There will be a reckoning one day for all these assholes. Probably not the one we want, but his minions. And they're all too fucking stupid to realize it.

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

If you look into his background... yeah. That guy started off as ENLISTED in the early 80s and rose to that rank. There are few like him in history.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Enlisted for two years before attending West Point. He still earned the rank, but I would say he is more an academy officer than a mustang. Either way, it’s an obvious retaliation firing, probably based on his refusal to remove people from promotion lists

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not condoning this action, just giving some context from the little I read about this, George was going to have his term ended next year anyway. His position lasts four years and he was appointed by Biden in 2023. If I am wrong, let me.know.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

That's a long way away and WE'RE ACTIVELY AT WAR.

4 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure this makes it any better, we have a lot of 2025 left to fuck up royally

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

We are in 2026 now though. 2025 was already fucked up

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh wow yeah l think I'm trying to block too much of the 2026 trauma

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed. I was giving some context. It's absolutely not a good thing that these career military personnel are being forced out and being replaced by what I can only assume are religious fanatics that want to bring about kegseth's wet dream of a holy war.

Uhhhh... Yeah, dude. This is far, far, far from accurate. These are officers that were fired up to *months* ago for not being white males or for not being racist or from being connected to someone Trump hates, Iran has nothing to do with this.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

You realize that doesn't contradict what I said or support what the meme posted claimed, right. That he's fired all those people for refusing to invade Iran. You DID read the meme, right?

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

You seem to be reading more into the meme than I am. or perhaps you know more about their firings than the public does? The meme says 30 generals have refused orders for a ground war and so far 12 have been dismissed. Can you prove that's not true, as you claim?

4 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

As I said, many of those referenced were fired months ago. Zero publications anywhere have said that any of them were fired for refusing to invade Iran. The meme is a lie.
