nah, more like its a kinda pointless fight, people are gonna use whatever names and imagery they feel fits. unless the story is supposed to be referencing very particular folklore, its not a bid deal. the OP wendigo is from a magical multiverse version of earth where anthropomorphic cryptids, monsters and mythical creatures created mega corps and rule the world.
