I did not see how much the color lightened until it looped.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don’t the fibers from the gloves get into the candy?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The palms are dipped in a coating so what you are grabbing with isn't cloth.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's all I can think about

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Candy making is something I could watch all day.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

starts looking a bit like silk by the end, hypnotic to watch

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd count 2 4 8 16 32 64 128 256 512 layers

Except it actually folds into 3 each time.

The work gloves kind of freak me out.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

How does it not stick?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I use the same glove when I work on wind turbines!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They're food safe and to protect our hands from the heat

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I use to sell PPE and working in multiple restaurants, let me say they don’t look like food safe... Is this some kind of fiber on top ?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

May be in more heavy industry you have more protective gloves...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

We checked w the company that makes them and the food/health inspector. The dipped portion of the glove saves our hands from burning/stickin

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna have to call BS. They're nitrile dipped work gloves. Nitrile is food safe. This is a very common type of PPE glove

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh no, look at what they did to Kirby!!

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Majin Buu turned him into candy!!!!

The chemistry of sugar is so fascinating to me! Just heat it to different temps and you get wildly different results

6 years ago | Likes 237 Dislikes 1

same with bodies

Ouch......vitz

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also water.

Most chemicals/materials, if you're gonna go that route.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Two types of people.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That is true, but you spend less on legal bills when you experiment with sugar

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Fun fact all candy is rock candy if you leave it in your car seat crevice for years.

6 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

No way is this rock candy and no one wants crunchy taffy. They have machines that do what the arms do

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

But... it is ♂️ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qTJ4RqS-Z68 2:20

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I've always heard that type of candy called hard tack candy. Rock candy is definitely something different here

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's male?

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not like any rock candy I’ve ever seen

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think rock candy means different things in different countries. This is definitely not America Rock candy

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You mean rock sugar ?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its on my bucket list to learn how to make candy like this.

6 years ago | Likes 301 Dislikes 1

You can practice with Play-Doh. Stretch and fold. And if you get bored, make snakes.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's really not too terribly hard, you could learn pretty quick. I make candy every year for Christmas.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's a youtube channel called Lofty Pursuits you might like

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oddly specific lol

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

The gloves are an excellent precaution. Very easy to get blisters from the hot, sticky candy while you're stretching it.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was on mine too. So I learned a year and a half ago. I've now quit my job and I'm making candy full time!

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I do have an urge to burn my hands too. Jokes aside, that shit is a workout. Just saying.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0
