The responses on his social media posts for this video in particular are deeply brain damaged, tons of people angry that he dares to advocate wearing a helmet, because, according to them, he should instead redesign every New York City street to be so bike friendly that helmets aren't needed at all (ignoring the fact that it's falling down and cracking your skull on pavement that's what helmets primarily save you from, your limbs are what's in danger in vehicle collisions mostly)

I found an old swb recumbent at a thrift store and decided to try it out. It was just mindblowing. I ride to do my chores, not exercise, and this thing just made everything so easy. Of course, I have a backup bike because the SWB has a thin back tire and can't fit a tannus, so it constantly gets a flat when riding through the city. It's like the rainbow bridge to valhalla out here with all the glass and nails. I'm gonna modify with a wider wheel soon.
Some of the racing models are virtually flat like that. It's kinda insane, but that's racers. I'm a chore rider in a city, so I like my more upright style with what's basically a beach chair.
