If I had a nickel for every time a clip featured, "Ay, Miguel!" in this dump, I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#10 I’ve been on these before and it might just be because I’m weird asf but it was calming 💀

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#7 It's the laughing that got me. You gave explosives to a small child who is now running around deliberately pointing them at other people, and you just laugh and continue to film it?
The selfish absence of awareness and responsibility is breathtaking.

#7 little asshole in the making

2 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 2

Yes, with parents and onlookers laughing. He may be a little asshole, but the adults are the giant assholes.

#1 Did something similar back in the day. Not as dramatic looking but mine involved landing on a rock. Was in the hospital for a week and had to learn how to breathe again. When it happened, my buddy says he heard my collarbone snap. Be safe out there, kids!

#3 that's quite the battering ram!

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

It penetrated the back door but required a lot of force.

A bit flaccid for practical use though.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#1 that happened to me once on a trail because I tried to avoid a chipmunk... effing little bastard probably planned it.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I've crashed because of a chipmunk too!! Little bastard ran underneath me exactly as I was landing and I tried to bail so I didn't crush it

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I think they do that on purpose... I've actually talked to a couple of people who've also either wiped out or almost did because of them... they always seem to do it somewhere dangerous too... I bet if someone breaks their neck, a herd of chipmunks comes out and strips the corpse to the bones like piranhas... or they steal the bike and sell it on eBay.

#1 something looks a bit weird about the speed in which his front wheel launches off to the side.....

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

He oversteered with his front wheel to compensate for not leaning into the turn enough, which as others said, compressed the spring in the fork. Potential energy plus loose dirt equals what we see here

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

pushback from both the tire and suspension compressing probably. It can really mess you up if it hits at the right angle.

Really awful people & why I’m glad I have dogs instead of children, lol! Dogs have the good instincts to hate fireworks, lol!

#1 Superb camera work

2 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

I believe it was a 360 camera. Records everything around it and you can frame the exported video later however you want.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Looks like a DSLR with a digital zoom in post at the end but

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not meaning to be contrarian, but I think it's just a phone video. 360 cam pans have a specific look this doesn't have

#7 don't give explosives to children. Why does that need to be said??

I'm 51 years old, used to ride BMX bikes when I was a kid. I wiped out like in #1 probably once a month and somehow never got anything worse than some road rash. If that happened to me now I'd be in the hospital for a month.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I went snow boarding this week for the first time in 19 years. I knew my butt would hurt, but I didn’t expect to break my tailbone

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree, fellow Gen Xer!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I loved fireworks as a kid, but the older I get - and the more I see how people are with them and how people trash the environment with them - the more I'm okay with them being banned/phased out.

2 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 3

I loathe them: scares people, especially children & pets. Is dangerous for people with PTSD or other issues, dangerous to both wild & domestic animals. Fire hazards & causes noise & air pollution. They are nothing but a menace & should be banned everywhere! Yes, I really hate fireworks, lol.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Agreed on the PTSD part, 8 years as a combat engineer and there was a solid decade or so after I got out in 2012 and 2 years before where 4th of July usually meant being inside all night with a loud videogame or TV or earplugs in. It's not as bad anymore but I always respectfully asked my former employer to have the day off since I usually worked night shifts, if I wasn't, I had ear plugs in and I wasn't apologizing.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But pollution and damage to wildlife/nature in general for pretty lights in the sky is a fair trade surely?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Surely. 😵‍💫

Ronald McDonald is the dealer in that neighborhood.

#2 NGL this feels a bit staged. Good commitment to the bit if so though.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Nah I've had a day like this before. There's just that PROFOUND moment of ungodly embarrassment and you just need to sit there and wallow in the absurdity of the stupid thing that just happened. The emotional equivalent of one big, deep, exasperated sigh.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Check his right toe. Pretty amazing if it’s staged. But on the other hand, I’m not sure either.
If it is real, he stayed in the box out of sheer “I can’t believe I ended up in this box”.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Idk how to describe it, maybe it’s just because i have good balance, but the full send of body over feet with what seemed like a simple trip felt over the top. Now I’m over analyzing a man falling when i should be working.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If I had that kind of fall I'd probably stop and not move for a bit, first to make sure I wasn't injured anywhere and second laughing at myself for being a loony toon.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep! Head for the softest landing.
Do you ever do something stupid and then run that ‘reel’ back in your mind like someone watching you and laugh til you pee? Happens every time I trip.

#1 that last rock to the head.... Insult to injury....

2 years ago | Likes 328 Dislikes 0

Dudes front wheel *exploded* out from under him

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One might want to consider if there are such things as knee pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads, full face helmets, breast plates, back armor, etc. or possibly a smoother and easier surface to ride the bicycle.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Just in case he thinks in the future, “hey I didn’t really hit my head on that epic yeet from my bike, I don’t need my helmet for this ride!” For safety of the mind, the tumbling rock did find.

I live near a couple world class mountain biking areas. When I meet a mountain biker my first question is "how many times have you broken your clavicle?" One time and one time only has someone replied "Actually surprisingly I never have." That summarizes why I don't mountain bike.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Me and my brother did mountain bikes for about 2 years, he busted a rib and his scrapped his face and i explosed one of my knee acl. We stopped. Mountain biking is a bit stupid(Or we were very bad) and very expensive. A mountain bike is about 10 times more expensive than a decent hybrid.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey I only fractured mine in my last crash. And a disk in my spine. And broke some ribs. And knocked unconscious. And punctured my lung.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Glad you made it out. That sounds like a terrible experience.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Broken rib was worse than the shoulder for me. I'm a side sleeper. Had to sleep on my back for 2-3 weeks

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah that sucks. I've had a badly bruised rib and it's among the least comfortable of my injuries. Worst part for me was that laughter hurt pretty badly. I can't imagine how bad it was with a punctured lung.

#7 Sure, let the five year old play with fireworks unsupervised... what could go wrong?

2 years ago | Likes 312 Dislikes 5

As someone much older than 5, I'd have weaponized that firework from the outset. No prisoners. Everyone is a target. Flee my wrath.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 12

He WAS supervised... by idiots

2 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

I need a whole box of chanclas and an afternoon with those fucking parents letting their kid fire fireworks into other people. Fucking assholes.

We would have Roman candle battles as kids that looked like that only everyone was armed and it was mass chaos. No idea how nobody got hurt. Not a parent in sight. And why, yes, I am a 70s/80s kid, how’d you guess…

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean it wasn't an ideal scenario, but he is very much supervised. Everyone watched him shoot the roman candle at the crowd.

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

American politics right now 😓

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

THEY were filming! WE all saw it. I say we find the kid and punish him like a good internet mob would! We'll all take turns eating his dessert until he feels properly punished. You guys go first, I'll be right behind you, I just gotta watch this video first...

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yeah, lol. Lots going on here.
1. Poorly raised little monster
2. Filming instead of helping/stopping
3. No one stopped the little shit
4. Much too late and much to light "punishment"

2 years ago | Likes 98 Dislikes 6

6. Looks like shes having another one

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well we don't actually know if there was a punishment. The video ends. But hopefully. But yeah nah the mistake here was "Lets trust the kid with barely developed empathy with explosives especially when lots of other explosives are around" and then doing 0 to control the situation.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Honestly, the kid didn't even deserve punishment. The parents were morons for putting explosives in his hand. At worst I thought the dad would hold it and keep control

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Punishment for wrong behaviour does not and has never been a good idea. Humans, like most mamals, respond best to positive reinforcement. That kid should not have been given fireworks, but to punish him for playing with something he has been given is damaging for the kid. There is reason why we dont hit/strike kids and the same reasoning is applyable for punishment of all kind. Just talk to your kid or they will end up dysfunctional like most of us.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

"I was punished alot when i was young and I turned out fine!?!?" No you did not...

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Why would they stop or punish him? (/s just to be sure) By all the laughter they all think its super fun idea

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

They called to him several times as he walked and then trotted away. Kid doesn’t mind very well at all.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

hence number one. Poorly raised little monster.
usually denotes the parents are no better

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

I mean, they have a festival in Mexico where they deliberate fire shit tonnes of fireworks at each other. Some countries take a more laissez faire attitude to safety.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's not a laissez faire attitude toward safety. It's an acceptance of injury. There's a difference between hands-off and ignorance.
