Reminds me of a fanfic i read a few years ago where batman is killed and the joker grabs a bat and starts beating up evildoers with a bat because gotham needs a bat-man.
I'm not really that familiar with Batman comics/shows, but it does seem to me like a character named Manbat (who I'm assuming is a bat turned to a man instead of a standard trope that is vice versa) should wield a mace shaped like the statue of David, and call it his man bat.
I highly recommend checking out Justice League: Gods and Monsters, if you ever wondered "what if there was a comic book film that was good". It features a slightly reimagined version of the Man-Bat, Kirk Langstrom, voiced by Michael C. Hall from Dexter.
It’s a little more deep then just man becomes bat. He was a doctor experimenting with bats to find a cure for something but like your classic mad doctor.. everything gos crazy and his body mutates to have bat like features and he kills his wife and others as ManBat gos on a rampage.
I love that BTAS episode where his villains take over the asylum and put him on trial for attacking them with a DA who was having the same concern questioning them, with them being very blatant how they would have killed people without him, might not just bothered with a theme.
No, no, you see, he's also insanely rich and uses some portion of it (never enough to leave him not-rich, barring a story arc, mind you) for charity. So, y'know, he's bought his indulgence, you gotta give him this. Also, feeding orphans to Joker. That's part of the deal.
its a realllative common thing throughout all of Batmans stories that he spends a lot of his earning while still well in the green on helping Gotham. the problem is that the police is just in general really corrupt, a lot of the larger institution is corrupt meaning that Wayne end up fighting uphill battles he should not have to (its a bit of the Gotham is so rotten to the core that anything short of tearing it all down and rebuilding it is going to fail. Wayne refuses that he insist that it can
be fixed). Like wasn´t a episode in one of the shows how a CEO that owns a factory making fire alarms was knowingly making faulty fire alarms because he was saving a few cents on each one knowingly put 100.000K at risk whit a none functional fire alarm and outright killed 1000 people through that and that was just a 2 panel villain.

I'd love a story about batman beating up a crook and finding out that they're only doing the job because his cousin needs help paying medical bills after batman beat him up and the crook just got laid off from his good paying job with WayneCorp and it's all Batman's fault. :D
IIRC they have done stuff like that before. It normally ends with said persons cousin randomly winning a WayneCorp sponsored contest that'll completely cover their health care costs.
