It always gets like that when it's on shrooms.

Moab? Always a good time when we go.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice. No comments from folks 30 or younger who live with their parents claiming it is AI.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It's still likely the moon is enhanced though. I've been there a lot, seen the moon through the arch, but never the moon that large.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You'd have to be VERY far away, with a massive telephoto (~600mm I'd guess) but I'm not sure there's a vantage point at that angle that isn't actually underground. Lighting and focus plane would also be incredibly challenging, even in this age of AI-assisted processing. My guess is that it's 'shopped to enlarge (or simply paste in) the moon. (I shoot a lot of this kind of stuff FWIW)

Should get this checked out at the eye doctor. People are invasive and they spread like vermin! xD

Thank you. No filters. Is this red rock canyon! I swear I was there once.

Nah, Arches National Park

It’s actually pretty when you sit in the whole because of the constant breeze it creates.
(It’s true despite the fart joke potential)

What the original more likely looks like....

1 month ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

You just need to back way tf up and have a good zoom on your camera

The foreground will shrink while the moon stays the same size

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I too was skeptical but it is possible to get that shot without editing. https://www.zachcooleyphoto.com/blog/behind-the-shots-moon-eye

1 month ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I was going to say I don't think it's edited. If you're far enough away from the arch, it shrinks in relative size to the moon from your perspective. (The moon will stay consistent size no matter where you are on Earth, but you can be a long ways off from the arch and have it appear tiny. Then just use a telephoto lens)

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, if you get far far away from it and zoom in a lot…

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

And, uh, the people in the photo were posing exactly the same way… (didn't notice them at first, mb)

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Correct. It’s pretty, but nothing like the heavily-manipulated original.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

https://www.zachcooleyphoto.com/blog/behind-the-shots-moon-eye Not sure about the OP, but this photo was done without editing.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ops photo is Hella fake

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It’s still manipulating the depth of field.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So it looks like the "trick" is that the photographer was extremely far away, and this photo has been cropped or zoomed in substantially, while using an extreme telephoto lens. From his position, the moon probably looked tiny, as did the "eye", but by positioning so far away, it "shrunk" the whole significantly enough to make it look large after cropping away the excess. Like squinting and crushing peoples head with your fingertips.

Very nice picture, thanks OP ! Where is it ?

This is in the US, forgot the exact name but it's in the area of Moab

Artificials National Park

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

No, its real. :)

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry to tell you, but this picture is fake.

It looks kind of like one of the arches in Arches national park, but the details are all wrong.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It's not, I have a photo of myself there too

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You don't think it's fake?

It's missing a ton of rocks in the arch and foreground and stuff.

It's close but it looks like idealized ai slop based on the one moon pic that took years and years of planning to achieve

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah I think the moon is photoshopped in (not sure though), but that arch is real

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You can't tell how different it is from the real photo I posted?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Probably Arches Nat’l Park. I feel like i have seen this particular structure before but at this park there are, well, a lot of arches https://www.nps.gov/arch/index.htm

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Thank you ! I doubt i'll visit them in my life, but i dreamed of visiting some Anasazi kivas in New Mexico when i was younger and had some hope of earning enough dough to be able to fullfill some dreams. Enjoy the beauty of Nature, my friend, and have a nice day !

Called the Windows at Arches National Park. There is another arch a tiny hike to the right that completes the set.

Fun fact, the arch at the beginning of The Last Crusade shares a parking lot with the Windows. It's called Double Arch. There is a third arch called Turret Arch in the same spot as well.

Beautiful place, a must visit

This photo is fake

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I replied somewhere else that the moon isn't ever that big and after comparing my own images, you're right, it's definitely trying to be the Windows but isn't

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bonus photo I took of Orion through the window.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think someone did take a real picture with the moon roughly that big. And this looks like ai slop based on that.

To get that photo they tracked astral charts for years and set up a very specific shot from a pretty big distance to get the ratios right. (Backing up makes the foreground objects shrink faster than the far objects.)

But I was commenting because the rocks and surrounding area all look wrong.

Here's my pre-transtion ass there.
