Imgur Social - Selfies, Name, Games, Security and Hiring!

Sorry if these are getting annoying, I just want to keep you all up to date as much as possible (something I don't feel the last attempts did)

Last time we thought of a name "imgursocial.com" the domain owner was kind enough to give the domain to us, but we wanted to be safe and contact imgur.

Sarah from imgur came back and whilst she was happy with our designs, unless we entered a licensing agreement with them they wouldn't be happy us using their name. Which is fair enough.

I've sat down with my team today and after discussions, we've decided not to go down this route whilst the guys at imgur seem nice, we didn't want to be potentially limited in what we could do or pay an unknown fee for it so we have to choose a name which does not involve imgur or imgurian.

Next order of business: Selfies - we need selfies for the front page mosaic, your faces will be blurred so if you're willing to offer a selfie please post in the comments below (do not submit to gallery or so help me *shakes fists*) or PM me.

Games,
as part of the experience we're going to include some simple multiplayer games it might be only one or two to begin with and they will be very simple but something to spur on the community to socialize a bit more.

We've got one game in mind and we have one in the works if you know of an open source HTML5 project we can use or are willing to offer your game / don't want £10k for us to use your game please PM me we just want very simple, multiplayer online games we can modify and extend.

Security,
We're going to have an SSL site wide, this is likely to be 2048-bit, but we are also in talk with a few people on and off of imgur about protecting the data on the servers which is more than some social networks do.

We want to try and make sure the only people who have access to your data are you (and us in the event of a criminal investigation)

Long term we are hoping to have a mechanism in place which means even we only have access if you allow it.

if there are any formal requests for your data we will notify you (unlike most social networks) and we will only comply with lawful requests no fucking around I'm personally fed up with social networks taking the piss with my own data.

Developers:
We're actually looking for developers in Bristol, UK for the parent company. If you're good with wordpress (even if you've not long started out) e-mail us mediacakeltd@gmail.com with your CV you won't be working on the imgur social site but it will open up that opportunity as time goes on.

We are not looking for freelancers we want people to come work for us in the office :)

PPS: Don't suggest names, unless through PM last time that happened people bought domains galore, anyone who thinks this is a good idea, we won't buy the domain off you so don't bother.
