So... as long as she proves she's British, all good? Weird.

They're all good kitties, Cat Urine.

Did someone print this out?!

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Probably to hang in the office.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Got a calico and a ginger, one dumped in our yard the other wandered in after a tornado. People who eat shit deserve shit, all cats are good.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She must be German

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 41

Dude, that close as long ago as american slavery ...

/s at the end to show you aren't a dick. This is not a new idea.

the points don't mean anything anyway so downvote away.

Friendly reminder: adopt, don't shop.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Best I can do is my 23 and me profile.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah yes, the famous equivalence of buying a pet and racism

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I pick shelter pets by the vibe. If we have a connection, well then, you’re coming home with me.

3 years ago | Likes 143 Dislikes 1

As far as new age slang goes, vibe is one of my favorites. I’m nearly 40 and I don’t know how I’ve gone through my entire life not using it.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my dogs were rescues and each time, I went in there looking for a specific dog I saw online. In both cases, I left with a different dog who chose me. Best experience

My cat Louie tricked me at the shelter. I got him out of his cage and he sat happily in my lap for like 20 minutes, all calm and purring. He turned evil when I brought him home. He's been a terror every day since then (over 14 years now)

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Lies! Louie is innocent of this crime!

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That’s how I got my last 2 pets. Love them both and been with us for years

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Shelter? You don't yoink em from the streets?

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Pretty kitty :)

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same. My Hertz (RIP) was all about the vibe. As I was walking through and saying hi to each cat, she came out and started cuddling my hand as the assistant is telling me not to bother with her cage because she just hides all the time. It's all about the vibe. She was my lapcat from day 1.

Fell in love with a shelter cat named Butker before noticing he was already adopted. A few visits later this little black Void runs up to me as soon as I walk in, climbs me like a tree for snuggles. Learned as I was signing adoption papers that he was Butker's kitten. Dude passed the vibe check AND had credentials!

Now that's the kind of purebreed I can get behind!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anyone who knows British history can tell you we are definitely not purebreds.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Anyone else can't stand the pet owners who get animals that match their furniture/decor?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder if people that are ok with pet breeders selling bred pets are okay with human breeders selling bred humans.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Hah!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's the betting that they're looking for a cheap pure breed to onsell?

3 years ago | Likes 456 Dislikes 3

I’ll take things that didn’t happen for $500, ghost of Alex.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Today I learned the definition of onsell.

3 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

.... And!?...

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Too late, it's a British business term. "To sell something which has been purchased to a second buyer." To basically distribute it as a middle man.

3 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Its basically what all the lowballers are attempting to do to you on Facebook Marketplace.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Drop shipping but pre internet

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Please provide your ancestery documents to proceed to use British buisness terms.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also I thought this was called arbitrage.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shelter pets don't usually have much/any value to sell, even if they're pedegree, because they come to you neutered and without any papers. A kitten/puppy would still have resale value but you're not going to find a purebred kitten/puppy at the shelter.

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

i did many years ago. my cat skittles was a pure bred japanese bobtail ( the previous owner had the papers ) . her mama csme into the shelter preggo and had her kittens there .. i managed to get one before they went through the whole process of labeling them as such

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've definitely seen purebreds but they are usually at a rescue and have behavioral issues because the old owners sucked.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

A Houston "rescue" was caught stealing purebread dogs, getting info from vets by using info gained from the chip (they only "rescued" chipped dogs), and then selling them for 80% of papered breeder prices. They would lose lawsuits but "lose" the paperwork on who they sold to so the animals couldn't be recovered. After their favorite judge lost reelection they finally started getting criminal charges and were shut down

Provide us with your fakery documents to proceed with upvotes.

3 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

So while I agree this is fake as fuck, I worked at a no- kill animal shelter for over a decade and yeah calls like this absolutely exist

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The fact that it exists doesn't make this being fake any different. If I told you I had a flat tire and then you came to fix it and I said oh actually I don't have a flat tire but other cars do, would you be like...yeah that makes sense?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

I only know a few cat breeds, but my favorite breed is orange

3 years ago | Likes 279 Dislikes 2

Show me you're orange as well!!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One orange braincell gang;! Love my orange boy too

3 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

I was convinced it was a meme. Acquired an orange cat. Now I wonder if its being generous or if its just not been his turn with the braincell yet.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Its like those old dvd screensavers where it has to hit the corner just right

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Orange is great 🧡 but have you considered void? 🖤 They are talkers and sweet. Also calico is so lovable and goofy. Just any cat really. Just give me a cat I will love them

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I've had 2 orange ones, and both were big dumb lovebugs.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

My favorite breed of cat is Every.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like the Loaf breed, that one is my favorite

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like bi-racial (ie tuxedo) cats

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

void is my fav

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Orange is ok, but sinister and eldritch black suits me better

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grey all the way!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like the ones with a moderate amount of floof.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I prefer that blacks, all black if possible

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are all good cats, Bront...

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have had many types but the void breed has been pretty good. Although tuxedo was also good. All cats are good.

3 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Mackerel Tabby with a Tux.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Void, or house panther are my favorites

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Parlor panthers are good

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

void breed is my favorite!

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Very funny. I wonder if they ever get animals new homes with an attitude like that.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 77

Well it's fake anyway so doesn't matter.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

I hope so.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 11

If anything this would just be good promition for them? Not giving pets away to shitty owners.

3 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 3

She wants a purebreed. Probably planning to turn around and sell, or start breeding with no idea what goes into that process. If anything, they were too kind.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Confronting there's plenty of people who aren't shitty like she is, I would think yes.

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Considering, not confronting. Thank you for that, phone.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

So according to these people it's better that the cat stays in shelter? Instead of someone who wants it? This is why so many people go to breeders -_-

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Depending on the type of shelter, yes it can be better. If this exchange was real, it’s a huge red flag. I’ve been on the board of a local humane society and it really make you hate people. People surrendered their two adult cats as they didn’t match the new furniture. People move away and toss their cats out the door as they leave or just leave the pets inside the old house. People adopt black cats to torture/kill around halloween.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a no kill org, the cats in our care were going to have a good life as long as they were with us. It was our responsibility to do our best to make sure the people adopting them would provide the same.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do cats have breeds? I always thought.... it's cat, cat is the breed

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Breed and species is different. All domestic house cats are the same species (i.e. can produce sexually viable off spring), but the different family lineages that control face shape, colouring, presence of hair are breeds.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm aware. But domestic cats do not have well recognized breeds the way dogs have. Yes, cat fanciers recognize breeds, yes Siamese is well known. But generally, consumers do not consider specific breeds of house cat. It's a joke, I was making a joke. I have to tell you, if you are trolling the comment section of a social media image site looking to learn or school others, I think you should reevaluate your goals.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

woah

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

lol.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, like only 95% of people who choose their dogs/cats because they like how they look.

3 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 25

Yeah but they didn't look at pictures on the website to see if there was a cute kitty. So it's clearly not about how the cat looks. They just wanted a purebred cat. Don't lump pet owners in with trash like this.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it's more half and half. Like my wife and I found a litter of Siberian husky/Welsh corgi mix puppies (Siborgis) and immediately went to the owner's place to pick one because they were SO CUTE. But we went with our little brat because while we were talking to the owners, she was literally climbing the side of the playpen they were kept in just to get to us. She's been our spoiled little princess ever since

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

A fair few cats choose their owners, not the other way around!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’d say a lot of people choose dog breeds based on character of that breed. E.g, do a lot of walking, like an energetic dog, get a spaniel. Like being sedentary and want a dog to sit on your lap while you knit, get a pug. Want a dog to die of heat stroke and you live in the Mediterranean, get a husky.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Frankly no one should be buying pugs anymore, it's an unethical breed. A mixed pug would be alright, but purebreads are at the point where they can't fucking breathe because they *need* the snout that's been bread so short on them.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I absolutely agree, I’ve only ever got dogs from shelters (standfast a lurcher I got from a gypsy for £50 for my 10th birthday) and whilst it wouldn’t be my choice I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting a shelter pug.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(adopting a shelter animal is always fine though, different situation)

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Lol, only read this after I’d replied, I think we’re on the same page.
