That wouldn't do much. If you're trying to leave, you want to keep aiming at the horizon and burn forwards. Burning radial out will increase the max distance from the planet a but, but it will also decrease the minimum distance, meaning you'd crash in about 45 minutes (half a 90 min orbit).
