I ran into a bees nest while hanging ribbons in the woods. I put a big banner over it. And wrote "BEES!!" With an arrow pointing to the nest. A year later I was in the same spot, saw the banner from far, but didn't remember it, so I ent up to it to read it.. by the time I read it, I figured out I was standing on the nest
Especially funny if you need reading glasses to read small print. I got old and need my readers to see small print. Yet, every point-of-sale (POS) screen is very small print, so, we who cannot read it, must drop whatever we're holding to dig out our readers, just to see it's a hold screen asking for a tip! So now I always assume that's what it is, and just ask them to get me to the pay for the item portion! Here, the smoothness of the decline is epic!
The joke is that he doesn't finish the essential word. You're supposed to connect the dots. Many people can't, regardless of their native language (I'm also not native, and I got the joke, but I respect people not finding the crucial reference at once)
Yeah, I always did it with others in case things got sticky. But apparently if you lie back in quicksand you won't sink as you're less dense than it. My parents would disagree...
