Again when fellow Jews see Israel's actions as reminiscence of Nazis actions you know they done fk'd up. Netanyahu lived so long he became that which is people hated.

"I call upon all Jews..."

...can she do that?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

One Semite tribe killing and kidnapping another Semite tribe is not Anti-Semitic, nor is retaliating.

Bravo!!

I love her.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

not to stir shit, but is it ironic for her to be quoting Jesus? "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 17

Do you think that's maybe because Jesus was...Jewish? 🤔

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Why is that? The golden rule is universal. A lot of religions have similar sayings.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Pretty sure a version of such adage has been around b4 christianity.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Why? Jesus was Jewish too

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I had no idea she’s Jewish. Also, she’s 100% correct.

I have never been so ashamed to live a timeline where people post videos in this garbage format with some dirty watermark covering every inch of the screen

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

That's what shames you!?! Me, I'm ashamed we're letting a nation commit genocide as though we learnt nothing.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Miriam Margolyes is showing us what true compassion is and for that,, no doubt, she will be abused and trolled and belittled, by the very people who are committing these atrocities, her fellow Jews.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

NO CEASEFIRE until ALL the hostages are released.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 25

Okay but maybe stop killing children? Does the continued holding or even killing of hostages justify the deaths of 13000 children?

You mean the Palestinian hostages as well right?

Notice this is an Al Jazeera message. Israel has banned Al Jazeera. Netanyahu is a maggot.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Just to clarify, the original message was released via Jewish Council of Australia https://www.theguardian.com/film/2024/apr/09/miriam-margolyes-condemns-israels-policy-in-gaza-calling-on-jews-to-shout-beg-scream-for-a-ceasefire Al Jazeera 's clip just happens to be the right length for imgur.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I just wanted to make it clear that Israel is banning news channels that tell the truth about what is going on but I appreciate the reference. In my opinion, as in Russia or any other country that censors news, it is important to understand that people don't have access to information about what is happening.

she ias a national treasure

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I have the feeling that if this were to somehow happen in 1991 instead of the Gulf War, Bush Sr would have sent troops into Isreal the moment he heard about the genocide.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 27

Oh honey.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like, to help them kill the Palestinians? Cuz that's the only way that sentence makes sense. Like Bush and most of his cabinet....lol, no.

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

No, to push the Israelis out and stop the genocide. Our military thinking back then was much different.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

I was around back then and man, if you look into Bush's foreign policy people there's not a chance in hell they'd have done anything but support Israel and then plan Camp David photo ops that lead nowhere when it was over.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

One of the supposed reasons of 9/11 was also revenge over Bush washing his hands off of the Palestinian conflict of the time.... Nothing changes ever.,

What? No.

Haha no

Not to be a stickler but I'm pretty sure "do unto others..." was from the Gospels and ze Jews maaaay have not made it that far. Just sayin.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Good to hear from a Jewish woman, cause when I say it I'm an antisemite or is she antisemite too?

Watch her clips from the Graham Norton show on YouTube. She has no filter and it’s glorious. Everything from a house she rents out being used for drug trafficking. To (I’m not making this up) creaming her knickers over a particular actor.

And just because someone has a "bad" opinion, doesn't invalidate another opinion, especially on something highly relevant to them

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

Miriam Margoyles is infamously blunt and this is an incredibly mild response to the (increasing irritating) superfans of a bunch of kids' books from over 20 years ago. Try googling any of her appearances on Graham Norton's show to see how much more savage and course she could have been!

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

She is savage and I love her

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I love her too... albeit it in fairly small doses!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

completely enveloping your identity in one topic of interest isnt a great idea, regardless what it is. she has a point, even if some people dont like it.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Come on can you imagine being her age and everywhere you go a 35 year old dressed in a grade school uniform asks you to sign a book written by a trans phone? Bet it gets really old after the 8th time and if you are just trying to eat your lunch or peacefully shop you may snap and tell them to grow up.

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

Transphobe not phone. Also per the original comment, I’d say her opinion on Gaza is more important than her opinion on Harry Potter fans.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

The person who conflates any statement opposing genocide of Palestinians as 'supporting Hamas' is trying to shame people into not taking a side. The thing is they know it's a lie. When they try to escalate and accuse you of supporting terrorism the response needs to be escalation on your part. Do not defend yourself to someone who supports genocide. Accuse them of supporting genocide. Call them what they are.

2 years ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 8

Oh absolutely, if people are honestly advocating for genocide, when they equate the destruction of another people as morally correct you need to call it out, every time. It horrific what goes on in the middle east, im glad to not be anywhere near that cesspool of extremism.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

My husband and I have this argument all the time. And every time, he tells me that I support Hamas. He says isreal is " defending itself" I'm going to use this next time. I've already told him this has been happening since the state of Isreal was founded. The Nakba is a thing. And he thinks it's all bs. I don't understand his way of thinking.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

A genocidist? Also…it seems more like an ethnic cleansing than a genocide, doesn’t it? Israel just wants the land. They don’t care about the people. If all Palestinians left Gaza, israels government would be cool with that.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 9

What exactly do you think the distinction is here?

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Stabbing somebody in the chest, or shooting them in the head. Both are awful crimes, but they reflect a distinction in the mind of the perpetrator.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not asking for analogy. I'm asking you literally what do you think is the difference between these two terms. And since I have you this brings up a second question, when we're talking about Mass extermination should we care what the perpetrators motivation is?

Also an aside note, genocide is always about looting. The looting is integral and a strong motivation for the rest of the crimes.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're two sides of the same coin. Even the Nazis originally came up with a hare-brained scheme back in 1930s to deport all European Jews to Madagascar. When it became clear that wasn't actually in any way feasible, then they moved onto the Final Solution.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Right. By the end of '41, the Nazis realized that they were not going to create an eastern pale of settlement in the former Soviet Union, as the assault on Moscow failed and the US enters the war. They argue at Wannsee, that the Reich doesn't have the resources to hold millions of Jews and feed the Wehrmacht..the Devil's Arithmetic

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

But the only reason civilians die is because they're being used as a human shield. How is it supposed to go down when one side puts all their military gear in a hospital? Hamas wants the IDF to hurt civilians, it makes the IDF look bad and damages their US support. I hate how I'm called a "genocide supporter" because I don't like the side that uses civilian presence as a military tactic.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 14

I don't know how to explain to you that one side hiding in a hospital, with their families, while the other side drops bombs on the hospital with the families, the bomb-droppers are the fucking bad guys. I don't know how to express to you that if your family, your friends, your grandparents, your neighbors, have been starved for a century, pushed onto less land with fewer resources, and told you are crazy or evil for wanting something better, you might well try to fight back against the

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

People who are right there doing this to you. That you might, reasonably, try to protect your few friends and family left. You might hear that hospital bombings are war crimes, and so you try to protect yourself and your family where you think, you hope, the people who have been killing you for a century might not kill you there. But the rules don't protect you. The hospital is bombed, and everyone you were trying to save were killed. I don't know why you still seem to think, at this late date,

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

That people fighting back against being killed in the street, fighting against their children starving to death, people just trying to stay alive against such overwhelming force, are in the wrong. I worry if there is a human soul in your withered corpse at all.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The answer that question is you don't blow up the fucking hospital. You think this is the first time human Shields have been used? Like maybe other nations have managed to not go full genocide? And you actually think the IDF is not lying at all about that? Like literally every single death is the result of a human shield? do you really believe that? I fucking doubt it

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

Dude, yes. We wouldn't be talking about genocide at all if hamas didn't employ crimes of war tactics. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/world/2023/oct/30/human-shield-israel-claim-hamas-command-centre-under-hospital-palestinian-civilian-gaza-city Hamas literally won't let civilians leave when the IDF warns them.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

Also we've literally all seen videos of the IDF mowing people down in the streets you can save this nonsense for folks without an internet connection.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Dude No. This isn't the first time and israel didn't start committing war crimes yesterday. Nice try apologizing for genocide but its still fucking genocide its never going to be justified you are always evil for enacting or defending it.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I'm not defending the IDF, I'm attacking hamas. They use their citizens as pawns on the battlefield which is unacceptable. Guerilla warfare is fine and all; but intentionally putting civilians in the crossfire is straight up evil. Hamas is evil. How do you think the theocratic state that steals humanitarian aid to sell for missiles in order to kill jews indiscriminately are the good guys? This is imgur right? I thought we were liberal here.
