Her dress is made out of luchadors, in case anyone wanted context

I feel like I'm missing the obvious part. It looks like the underband(?) is one solid piece and the shoulder straps are tied to it in back.

I made the straps way too big so they wouldn’t like glide into the holes to make a decent looking corset kinda feel

I need to get back into crocheting. I doubt I could make an item of clothing but maybe a bag or something.

Did she perform on stage in that outfit?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why is it bralette instead of bra?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No structure of an actual bra.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

May I suggest crossing the straps in the front then either tying around the neck or at the back.

I commend everyone who refrained from making a shitty comment.

I came looking for the creepy comments but was plesantly surprised.

Yeah same. Damn near everyone was respectful and most importantly: treated op like a human fucking being.

It's not selfie day.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Agreed. But we forgot about the imgur golden ratio: literally anything + breasts = upvotes

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I have pretty great breasts myself, so that doesn't sway me. ?

It’s not a selfie. It’s showing the crochet work.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It does look supportive.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

It’s good enough, but it my first one so I haven’t figured out what works best lol. Plus I can’t get the strings to come out more to tighten

Pretty damn good for your first try. You can only get better from here.

Excellent work.

I can't tell the diff between a bralette and a bikini top, but I'm willing to learn. Great outcome OP, looks terrific.

don't screw up the bralette because in french, branlette means jerking off.

Cool beans

Great job! I’m sure that took a lot of patience!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But does it have pockets?

2

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Doesn't every bra have two?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey @op. You're cute, your top is cute! You should keep making more stuff! They turn out really well!

I’m not someone who can say that word because I’m not a part of that crafting community.

....isn't it itchy, though?

4 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 1

If she had gone w/ acrylic yarn it would have been really soft XD. Alas cotton is not as fun XD

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It’s 100%cotton yarn, so it feels kinda like a dishcloth material

4 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

I see you grew up with a family who made things out of bottom bin yarn aswell

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

In the US, cotton isn't the cheapest yarn. Acrylic is

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Acrylic isn't always itchy. Depends how it was made. It sure won't breathe though which is why it's not great for clothes.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was given many acrylic yarn gifts to wear… so many blankets as well

This reminds me of a super cute top I used to have, but it had a little muslin "apron" in the front and tied at the neck and waist! Love it!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I cant imagine that working on someone with mid-alphabitties.

Men are generally not familiar with the term/item bralette as opposed to just a style of bra. My ex-gf didn't know that term either
